Notifications by e-mail appears not

I have put my notifications by e-mail for the ringtone, display in the menu bar and vibrate, but I don't get email when I go into the application.

Just a few questions that might help diagnose the problem.  Using the native application or a market?  You use G-Mail or another email provider.  What other provider?  Have you set notifications for each e-mail account that you individually?

Upgrade to Mac OS Sierra and now Apple Mail does not appear the contents of multi-party digestions. Has anyone else seen this and how to fix it?

    Hello Frederick-b,

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important being able to see the content of several parties digestions in Mail is for you. Based on what you said, it seems that you may want to change the settings of the conversations on the view menu, activation of the conversations or disabling, or expand or collapse the conversation in the list of messages.

  • several e-mail folders appearing not

    Hi all

from arrival to El Capitan, Mail poses serious trouble me (@Apple: what quality SW?) I was used to something else - before, you really mainly of good quality!). Gmail's mail fails several times a day (ok, I deleted this account), by closing and reopening the mails I have as many windows open as before but all empty. As the mail is so incredibly unstable with my old configuration entirely imported, I try everything again and import only the locally stored email.

The big question, however and the one to which I am seeking help here is that my imported mailboxes are not displayed. In other words, I try to:

    1. First variant
      1. Reset the Mail (remove containers, AddressBook recent mail, preferences, Mail folder incl. box mailbox dirs, files of envelope, etc.,...) and the mail is clean. Exit the Mail.
      2. Then, as suggested on line, I add a folder stored locally (the Apple Mail folder with several subfolders) and move my old local archive folder to this folder (which replaces this file).
      3. I open mail and allow messages to import messages (it takes between 5 and 10 minutes on my i7 2.8 GHz with 16 GB of RAM), a few thousand emails are counted.
      4. Once the process is complete, the main mail window opens, but only the folder itself, any subfolder, no email appears.
      5. = > FAILURE
      6. Note: If step 2, I do not replace the file, but rather to move the content of this folder (which replaced the two files exisitng there), Mail will be important only 4 messages instead of a few thousand. That apart, everything is the same.
    2. Second variant:
      1. Reset mail (see above)
      2. Choose file-> import.
      3. Choose the folder of old local archive
      4. Mail displays an import process and subsequently a confirmation indicating that imports will be in a folder "imported".
      5. There is no shown any folder (don't I see one in the Finder).
      6. = > FAILURE

I noticed a similar effect by trying to create local folders, apparently according to their name. For example if I try to create a folder "Archives" in "on my Mac" creation is confirmed, but the record shows ever upward.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the reason? Thank you in advance!

    See you soon,.

Please test after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried it. Stop when the problem is resolved.

Back up all data before making any changes.

    Step 1

If you use iCloud drive, please open the iCloud pane in system preferences. There is a marked checkbox iCloud drive, and next to that, a button labeled Options. Click this button and in the sheet that drops, that uncheck Mail if it is checked.

This e-mail box is not to be confused with those, also marked Mail, that appears when you open the iCloud preferences window. They have different effects.

    Step 2

If mail crashes or freezes immediately on launch, try the steps on this page. Sometimes a damaged on a mail server message can be deleted by logging in to the server through its web page.

    Step 3

If Mail doesn't always start, or if you are unable to take this step for any other reason, go to step 4.

There are three types of e-mail account: POP, IMAP, and Exchange. You can determine the type of each account by opening the Mail preferences window, by selecting the tab accounts and then click on account information.

Export all the mailboxes of POP in the office folder.

If you have accounts IMAP or Exchange and you don't store sent, deleted, and junk messages on the server, export these mailboxes in the same way. You can determine if the messages are on the server by selecting the mailbox behaviors tab accounts.

Also export all the mailboxes in the category on my Mac.

You do not have to export the other mailboxes, because messages are stored on the servers.

    Exit the Mail.

    Step 4

In system preferences, open accounts (OS X 10.9 or later) Internet or Mail, Contacts and calendars (OS X 10.7 or 10.8). Take notes settings for each e-mail account (all types), and then delete the accounts.

    Step 5

Quit Mail runs. In the Finder, hold down the option key and select

    Go ▹ library

in the menu bar. Move the following (some may not exist) in the folder that opens on the desktop:

    Application Support/AddressBook/MailRecents-v4.abcdmr

    Containers/com. Apple.corerecents.recentsd

    Containers/com. Apple.mail

    Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent

    Containers/com.apple.share.Mail.compose

    Mail

Note: you do not move the Mail application. You move a folder named "mail".

    Step 6

Launch of Mail. It will behave as if you have been putting in place for the first time. Go through the process of installation with a single account, using the information in step 4. Test. If Mail works now, recreate the rest of accounting (if you have several) and other parameters.

Any writing paper custom that you created may be lost. Ask for instructions if you want to keep these data.

If there is no improvement, quit Mail and put back items that you moved to the desktop, replacing the more recent who can be created in their place. Stop here and post your results.

    Step 7

If you followed step 3, import mailboxes mailbox that you exported (see article of support related to step 3 for instructions.) Generally speaking, the process takes a few minutes, but this can take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In this case, you will be able to speed things up temporarily by adding your file to the list of personal information protection in the Spotlight preferences pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.

The mailboxes that you export should automatically synchronize with the server. Once again, if the mailboxes are very large, their download may take some time, and the network performance will be slower than usual during this period.

If you skipped step 3, locate in the mail on the desktop folder a subfolder

V3/mailboxes (for OS X 10.11 or later version)

    or

V2/mailboxes (for any previous version of Mac OS X)

Import mailboxes mailbox that it contains.

Test. If Mail still work, remove items that you moved to the desktop in step 5.

Reactivate the e-mail option in the settings to iCloud by car, if you have disabled it and retest. If you weren't already the iCloud drive with Mail, there is no need to enable it now, unless you want to.

  • "Notification of Keychain ring" does not.

After installing the OS 10.11.4 my Mac is slow. I check activity monitor and see that the "circle of Keychain Notification" does not. Stop forcibly block any Mac and I have to do a hard restart.  Anyone has any ideas on this page or we just at the mercy of the Apple out a fix?

Adding to my original message in this thread. Mail App has essentially become unusable. Switching between the mailboxes, looking for whatever it is, dragging and files, emails and chip pointing or numbering text within an e-mail that you dial lowers the entire application. In the activity monitor Mail appears as "not responding". In the same activity monitor, I also see that "loginwindow", 'Keychain ring Notification"and"EscrowSecurityAlert"are all also does not (I have no idea as to what they are). Stop force does not work, you need to do a hard reboot. Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro refuse to open.

Test in a new user quickly will tell you if the problem is system-wide or if your user folder that contains the problem.

    CREATE A NEW USER

Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

Switch to the new user by logging incoming/outgoing or use the fast user switching.

You can ignore the signature with your Apple ID, unless you want to test iCloud

By default only the applications Apple will be in the dock in the new user. Go to Applications to open other apps, that you can test.

    You still see the issue?

If Yes, then the problem is with your core files.

You can try running the updated Apple combo. Often, it will fix weird questions.

Update of OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 Combo

    https://support.Apple.com/kb/DL1885

If not, then the problem is in your user folder.

Try to remove the com.apple.finder.plist in the user's Library/Preferences folder.

Restart then check. You may reset some of your preferences after deleting this file.

Apple Mail is not showing me the option 'All' - so all my research are partial. It's really hobbling search.

Type your search term in the search field and these options will appear on the left edge of the toolbar:

  • same email is sent continuously all by appearing not not in the sent box

using my iPhone 6, same email is sent continuously all by appearing not not in the sent box. for two days

    Hi FKDK,

Thank you for reaching out to the communities of Apple Support.

I know it's important to keep you email works as expected. If you have not already the case, try to restart your device by pressing and holding down the button on/standby and then dragging down to the power.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Once your phone restarts try to return or to re - write the e-mail and send again. If the problem persists after that, let us know if the e-mail has all attachments, or if the problem occurs with all of your emails.

Once again thanks for joining the best wishes.

  • Junk e-mail appearing as recipients

I'm being flooded by dozens and dozens of spammers-often the same ones over and over again. Is not only the feature 'automatic' junk mail does not, most of the addresses of spammers are appearing in my list of recipients of the latter.

When I try to filter, they slip through because they are "beneficiaries".  I have a bug in the works or how mail has been designed? Sorting through mail unwanted forty or fifty times a day, this isn't my idea of elegance of Apple.

Using the latest versions of El Capitan on an iMac in 2015.

In order to show them in the list of previous recipients in Mail, they should be sent in the Mail from your application. Who is your email provider?

Someone has access to your computer and can be send to these addresses? Check your sent messages and see if one of these addresses have been sent on this computer or any other device with this account. Search messages for addresses.
