  • Firefox beta 35. not ready for prime time.

I spent all weekend trying to get the beta version of Firefox 35 to work. What I found is that * extensions of all it does not work with the exception of the maintenance of the premises. I can't download any extension that Firefox is so famous. The error is something like "unable to install"plugin-name"in its current state." Activation of any extension requires a FF reboot, same places maintenance. Try to remove an extension fails and must be done manually.

I'm on Windows 7 Premium desktop Firefox 32 bits. I've 'committed' myself to 35 FF last night (which means history and cache out of settling because did not work it extension "expire history by days'), when I found out that 35 played well with some sites using Flash. It was a capricious thing. Many sites worked as usual, but some would not. Examples:
    http://www.Wunderground.com/us/Wi/La_Crosse.html

    http://www.weather.com/weather/5day/l/Hustler+Wi+54637:4:us

First time I have had a problem with a version beta of Firefox, but it's definitely not ready for prime time. I realize FF tries to get away from what we call 'Exclusive Modules' but 35 FF in its current state just fill in Support of Moz forums with millions of complaints (guess I'm one of the first). I now have 1 extension (the only one that works on 35), the above mentioned "Site Maintenance".

I thought you might like this report as 'user input '. God knows I've tried... I have downloaded 35 at least a dozen times and then was forced to 34.0.5. So I'm back on 34.0.5

I presented a report bug here:
    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1108196

I would like to know if anyone else is having these problems or anyone needs more information. I'd love to help solve this problem. I know that some of you good support people have probably tried to 35. You experience the same difficulties?

Here is my (34.0.5 but it's the same as I had about 35 last night, with the exception of 'Version') troubleshooting information less 1 million admissions for my printer:

Good news, friends... and thanks for holding my hand during all this time. I mainly need to know if my problems were me. global or all just... and perhaps others with some configurations.

I am now on 35.0b2 (not sure how that happened). Anyway, I downloaded beta, that is, reset Firefox, added my cookies.sqlite and permissions.sqlite, has spent half an hour in the 'options', and then checked things and seems to be back in the game!

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Update of Firefox does not, so I re-installed. Now firefox does not start at all?

Yes firefox, I started one morning, and I saw that it has been updated. After waiting, the notification saying "firefox is updated" crashed so I had to shut it down. When I started firefox again, he stated that the update failed, but less than a second after that notification skipped upward, it crashed also. He continued doing this, so I followed some instructions on the internet, re-installed firefox (without deleting the data of a personal nature), but now, firefox won't start at all!

    Now what?

Unfortunately, I never submitted before incident reports, so the folder does not exist in my computer

But the good news is that I tried running in windows safe mode, and it worked, then after returning to normal windows, it did not work. After waiting a while, now it works again, so I guess this can be considered resolved now

  • I currently have Firefox 9.0. Why the start page for firefox keep telling me that I don't have the latest version?

I currently have Firefox 9.0. Why the start page for firefox keep telling me that I don't have the latest version?

You may need the old start page. Go to Firefox > Options and in the pane general, under Startup, click on restore by default. The page you have probably (http://google.com/firefox) only served to 3.6 (and tells you you are outdated), but some users seem to have gotten stuck on it after updating to Firefox 4 or upper version.

  • Everytime I open a new window or refresh a getting started with firefox page opens with her. So, whenever I go to my homepage for example getting started with firefox opens along the coast in a separate tab.

  • I started with LR3 LR4 now LR5, there are now three files, one for each version. Can I remove versions 3 and 4 and just to keep the record of version 5 or do I have all you files?

I started with LR3 LR4 now LR5, there are now three files, one for each version. Can I remove versions 3 and 4 and just to keep the record of version 5 or do I have all you files?

do not delete, uninstall, you no longer need.

as long as your configuration/preferences/catalogues have been migrated or re-setup on lr5, you don't need previous versions.

  • Now, Firefox crashes only all the time

Firefox has slowed to a crawl... taken advice on the support page to delete and rename the file "places.sqlite" in Manager files in Firefox. Now Firefox only crashes all the time. guess my decision to go back to the Explorer was made for me... can not solve the new versions of FIrefox crashes, slowness, errors... now only breaks down and the "places.sqlite. old"file I saved is gone now, so cannot yet go back to it...

Firefox does not work at all... ?

Sorry to hear about the accident. If you get the Mozilla Crash Reporter form, your Firefox could have registered some data that would help to find the cause of the problem. You can submit these data to Mozilla and share with the volunteers of the forum to see if it points to the solution. Please check the support article "Firefox blocks - ask for help" to get the procedure to get these crash report IDs since the topic: block the page and then after the most recent here.

Note: If Firefox is not stable enough to use the subject: page crashes, the article also describes how to check for submitted crash IDs disk report.

Also, and/or at the same time, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? Which temporarily disables extensions, hardware acceleration, and a few more advanced features of Firefox that could make it more prone to crashing on some systems.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any less crashy?

  • Firefox want upgrade me to firefax 11 is not working for me I'm using Firfox 10 which lets you stop this?

Firefox has decided to stop people using flash 10. First he asked me to support 11 what claims Adobe works on my machine (Apple Mini Intel Core Duo), this isn't like the BBC found! I re download flash 10 that works. Now, Firefox asked me whenever I have a vid on the page to load up to 11 or continue. How can I stop it me bullying?

Yes, but I have a 1.6 G intel core duo when Adobe launched 11 Flash, they said it would work on 1.33 G intel to the top. (which is in fact still on a page on their site). They raised it to 1.8 G now and he can't manage 1.6 (although it will be start.for 10 s) Firefox tells me always up to date. But the FF team should examine whether anything can be done o. It prevents to see all media vids and some audio incl. Yourtube etc...
Older versions seem to have disappeared from the Adobe site.

  • Firefox keeps asking for exceptions of security for many Web sites after the reset of the browser after Yahoo hacked my search engine toolbar

Yahoo has hijacked my search bar where I could not find anything other than this site. I reset Firefox and now MANY sites continue to ask for a security exception. At amazon, gmail, google, and every google search. Even after that I confirm my exception of gmail security, gmail messenger does not work and my photo on my gmail theme model. I removed the cert8 and certoverride files in my profile. I also SSL and TSL checked under Option > advanced > encryption. Help, please. I want to use Firefox.

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox and all the leftover program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps one by one:

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click Exit in the file menu or Firefox) and confirm all future messages.
    3. Now, uninstall Firefox by following the steps mentioned in the article to Uninstall Firefox .

IMPORTANT: Under Windows, the uninstall program has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Make sure that you have not check this option. If not all of your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, customizations and other Firefox data user profile will be removed from your computer.

After uninstalling Firefox on Windows, delete the folder of the program "Mozilla Firefox", located by default in one of the following locations:

    • (Windows 32-bit) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    • (On 64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
    1. Go to the Windows Start menu and click on 'computer '.
    2. In the Explorer window that opens, double-click on disk Local (c) to open the C:\ drive.
    3. Find the folder "Program Files (x 86)" or "Program Files".
      • On 32-bit Windows, double-click the Program Files folder to open it.
      • On 64-bit Windows, you'll see a folder "Program Files (x 86)" AND a "Program Files" folder. Open the Program Files (x 86) folder.
    4. You are looking for a folder of Mozilla Firefox . If you find one, right click and select delete and confirm that you want to move the folder to the trash.

Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:

    1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
    2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Please report back to see if this helped you!

  • I can't download Firefox 64 bit for Linux

Hello. I am the proud owner of a 64-bit Linux (Debian) computer. I'm trying to figure out where to download the latest version of Firefox.

I see several Green big button with "Download Firefox" or "update of Firefox" here and there, but all redirect to a 32-bit version. So I try the little link above, "all systems and languages", but this page contains the 32-bit versions only Firefox.

So, please, where can I find a x86_64 Firefox version?
And by the way, because I'm almost ready, where can I find a Linux for PowerPC (32-bit) version?

This is the point for you to start. http://releases.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Firefox/releases/latest/Linux-x86_64/
