Now, formatted recovery partition cannot install Windows 8.

Original title: installation.

I mistakely to format all partitions, including the recovery on my hp laptop now im trying to install the new copy, but I can't help it please me do not know what to do

Its best you contact HP recovery media that you can use to reinstall the pre-installed copy of Windows 8. He also recommended because of the following:

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

Trying without much success to help a friend with a Lenovo ideacentre B310.

He had apparently been does not work properly under its native operating system Windows 7 and the owner has tried the free update of Windows 10. The cmnputer has not since then start beyond the blue logo of the Windows 10 flag.

I tried a reset by using the F11 key which got through the whole process of restoration and reinstallation of probably Windows 10 but then frozen 100%.

I have since installed successfully from a WIN Pro 10 CD, but it's understandable without a free license has been applied as it was a clean install.

What I want to know, it's the recovery on the still Partition PC contains the original OS? If this how I start and recover to factory condition of the PC having in mind that the PC is currently the trial version of WIN 10 with a limited number of days of use before a product key must be purchased.

Data loss is not a problem, I just need to go back to factory State and then move on from that.

Problem all sorted. I didn't realize that you could install the applicable version of REMPORTER 10 of the tool of creation of media these days and use the product key from the COA of WIN 7.

I'm assuming that I come back to a working version of WIN 7 before I could then upgrade to a licensed version of WIN 10.

    Hi Nnrmalata,

    1. you are trying to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7?

    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

Boot from GPT is only supported for 64-bit of Windows 7 on UEFI-based systems.

For more details, refer to this link:

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/hardware/gg463525.aspx

If your computer does not support UEFI, back up your important data to an external drive and delete all partitions on hard drives and create a new partition.

    (a) start from the Windows 7 DVD

    (b) click on install now

    (c) in the configuration screen, click Custom (Advanced)

    (d) click on drive Options

    (e) select the partitions to format

    (f) click on Format - this will erase EVERYTHING on this partition

    (g) create a new partition, and then select a partition to install Windows on.

    (h) follow the on-screen instructions and install Windows.

Note: Converting a hard disk partition or volume from NTFS to FAT32 requires that you reformat the partition, which deletes all the data on this subject. Be sure to back up data that you want to keep before you begin.

You can check the link for reference:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd799232 (WS.10) .aspx

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

If above did not help, please refer to the steps in this link.

Note: Backup your important data to an external drive

    Hello

Here is another solution, you can try to see if you can get Windows 7 to install correctly.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot install windows 8.1, very frustrated :/

Hey, I have a HP Envy 4 1056-tx and it came with windows 7 Home premium that I currently use. Now. recently I tried to install windows 8.1 in it but it gives this message each time

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is a Table of the MBR Partition. On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed to GPT.

    What does that mean?

    How can I solve this?

Can I install win 8.1 in my laptop or not?

    Urgent required expert help.

As soon as a moderator makes visible images, I'll be back on it for you.

Legacy support can be in reference to inheritance or legacy usb 2.0 BIOS \1.1\1.0 devices. I don't know for certain until I see the pictures you have posted. If this means legacy usb devices, then the usb 3.0 ports will be active and you can use legacy ports. USB 3.0 ports have a SS label on them. This means superspeed.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 on the replacement hard drive

I got the replacement from Dell hard drive which he said would come with Windows 8 and pre-installed drivers. Well, I installed the hard drive and he said no. OS can be found. I didn't have a chance to make my own backup discs, but Dell sent a CD Windows 8 recovery media with the laptop and now with the replacement hard drive.

When you try to install Windows 8 on the new hard drive, I get to the part where it tells me to choose a partition to install Windows 8 on and none of them will not let me. There are 5 to choose from and I don't know what to do to get past this. The largest partition either 5A about 934 GB of space left out of 1 TB, but as I said I can't choose it or one of the other ones for the installation.

You just have to click on next, in any case, despite the message?  Otherwise:

Start on the DVD of Windows 8, instead of install now, click repair your computer, Advanced Options, invites ... when it opens, type the following:

    DiskPart
    Select disk 0
    clean

    Then, try to install.

The above will remove all the data partition and disk, allowing you to do a clean install on an empty drive (these scores are not required, and Windows will create its own partitions (two) he needs to install and run).

  • Cannot install Windows 10 OSX Boot Camp 10.11.8

I wonder if a solution was developed for the installation of 10 64-bit Windows in Boot Camp again.  I have a hard drive 3 TB of fusion that I partitioned (1 TB for Windows 10) via Boot Camp.   When I start the computer in Windows install (on thumb drive) and choose the partition to install Windows 10 in, I get a message that the partition is formatted in GPT not NTFS.  I click on the format button, but it loop back to that error message about TPG.

I get no further than that.

I left and I restarted the mac OSX, entered the windows to manually thinking NTFS partition partitioning regular and formatted program that it would solve the problem.

When I rebooted on the thumb drive and restarted the Windows installation, I got the same error (INCORRECT FORMAT).

I read about the solutions of terminal mode using Linux command, but hey, Boot Camp should take care of this without all this extra work that could potentially break the fuser unit I am correct?

Or is this a Microsoft problem because the format function does not work in the Windows Installer?

If anyone can help us with that, I would be greatly appreciated.

    See you soon.

During the installation of Windows Setup started and you have the screen which shows your partitions and to choose one, you choose your Bootcamp partition and click on Format of below the list of partitions? You must leave the configuration format the Bootcamp in NTFS partition before installing Windows actually.

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.

    Hello

Did you install the SATA drivers first?
You need this driver to recognize the HARD drive!

You must download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. You should find it on the page of the Toshiba driver or the Intel Web site.

You must perform the installation of an external USB FDD drive using the F6 key during the installation of Win XP.
