Number of layer

is it possible to change the limit on the number of layer? I'm working on a resolution of at least 2400 pixels and I can only add layers 6 and 7. I have to get off my resolution to add more. I use PS Touch on my iPad Mini 2 retina.

is last question, possible to change the resolution of an image?

The number of available layers is practically dependent on the resolution. for example, a project of 1920 x 1104 allows me to have about 18 total layers. A 4096 x 4096 project allows me to have 2 layers total. (I guess material plays a factor too;) I use a Google Nexus 7 2013 running Android Lollipop 5.1. Try to create similar to compare projects.)

You cannot change the DPI. Nature of the mobile beast, I guess.

    This function will return an array of names of effects for the active layer. You can get the number of effects of the length property of the table. Effects names are names of equity manager so if you want that they correspond to the GUI, you will have to translate. that is the line in the action Manager is frameFX

    If there is no game layer, you can use something like this.

    That will tell you how many layers with the name 1, and then select the last one.

    The title pretty much says all of this, I tried to search if this has been discussed before but no could not find anything.

    I'm on the latest version after effects CC, 13.8.1.38.

    This ONLY happens when the composition I work has enough layers to display the vertical scroll bar (which means that the number of layers exceed the size of the size of screen/composition). If I click Hide/Show or lock/unlock on any layer, it automatically increases its content makes life very irritating because I have to close it manually each time. If I increase the size of the composition window Panel so that all layers are visible (i.e. no vertical scroll bar) so it no longer occurs. So the key to triggering it is to ensure there are more layers than your screen has space to show in this Panel.

    I've looked everywhere in the settings and couldn't find something to turn it off. I know that the fastest solution is to keep the composition and store the number of layer, but it is not always possible for me that I must continue to work with items broken down in the same composition. My workflow would be more complicated if I continued to switch between the tabs before publication.

    All solutions would be highly appreciated I just can't work with this 'feature' useless. Thanks in advance!

    Hey everybody,

    After obtaining a degree, I can no longer add folders in folders. Example before, I made a folder with 20 layers and another folder with 15 other layers. Right now, I can't put these two files in another folder.

    I tried dragging files on the buttons folder on the Layer palette. Using "present" and "send back" to force the files in the new folder. Restart Photoshop. Checked the menu Preferences in Photoshop for what anyone talk about records.


    Any help would be great. Thank you.

    Layer games?  There is a limit to how deep they can go: only 5 deep.

    But there is no limit on the number of games, or the number of layers that can be included in a set - less than the limit of total number of layer (which I think still is 8000).

    I have a Satellite M55-S325 with MAT * A DVD - RAM UJ-years 840 Firmware Version 1.52 I bought States 5 months ago, everything seemed fine until a few weeks ago when I tried to write some data DVD, I had unrecoverable errors while writing the DVD using NERO 7 ULTRA EDITION, but now I get this messege all the time and I'm not able to write any DVD the disc seems to be well in CD writing. I tried to use recording SOUND now that comes with the laptop, no luck. I tried to reduce the size of the files, and try with lower write speeds but still no luck. I disabled burning CD of the Windows XP SP2 IMAPI burning service COM as well. I use a good quality DVD-R that worked fine before. I would appreciate your help because my HDD is almost full (but still 10 GB of free space) and I need to get a backup of my data.

    Layer 1 is really huge and everything I see while moving the cursor is the number of layer 1 and Earth in the background. If I do not use the images of the fireplace and the only screenshots of google earth, it works perfectly. Why?

    the problem is that you are parenting in a layer of 0% scale - you can do that, because when you use parental responsibilities, Ae does some internal calculations for the parental relationship to work S01.jpg... in this case it is the scale of values, and divide or multiply by 0 will be 0. all layers are turning when you their parent to a layer of scale of 0% to 0% right scale.

    you have another problem - for reasons X and Y scale of the first layer (the one you are supposed to parent) is not the same:

    Do you more problems when you parent he other layers.

    1. create a null value

  • Slow with many layers of Photoshop

    Hello!

    I do experience notable in Photoshop slowdowns when working with large files (more than 4000 x 4000 pixels) with many layers.
    I tried different things, like tinkering with performance options in Photoshop, brush settings and global PC settings.
    Nothing seems to help.

    When you start with a new file (say 4000 x 4000 pixels), everything seems fine. As I work, I create layers more. When the number of layer approaches 80 ~ 100 I start noticing significant slowdowns. The Brush tool becomes lag (delay adds boring), zooming and paning is smoother and everything becomes overall slower.

    When checking in the Manager of tasks, either the graphics card or RAM or processor is fully utilized. Total CPU usage is usually only 20 ~ 25%, 50% of RAM but Photoshop is lagging as hell.

    I think I have a quite decent PC. (at least for this type of workload..)
    My PC current specifications are:

    CPU: i7 6700 k @ 4, 0GHz
    RAM: DDR4, 16GB, 3000 Mhz
    GPU: GTX 980 Ti
    2xSSD RAID-0 for the main system partition (Photoshop "scratch disks" can also be programmed to do this).
    Windows 10


    So, what could be the problem? Any ideas I could try?
    Or should I rethink my working habits of several layers?

    Update!
    After more inexperienced, seems to have finally found the culprit that is causing slowdowns.
    Layer blending Options. Especially those that generate their own semi-transparent area.

    I can reproduce this in the layer file 10:
    (1) create a new file with the dimensions of the 6000 x 6000 pixels (or something bigger) with no background
    (2) draw something
    (3) add option 'outer glow' merger with significant RADIUS
    (4) add a few more layers, repeat steps 2 and 3
    (5) create new layer below all other layers and try to get something in the area where overlap the effects of "outer glow".

    So the main takeaway:
    Be careful adding mixture of options to layers and rasterization them where possible.

    I've seen quite a few threads but no solutions but who work for this problem. My documents tend to have a number of layers, using very frequently shapes with layer effects. up to a certain amount of those, the app is very sensitive, and then once I've reached a certain level it becomes very slow. strange that moving a vector shape with the direct Selection tool is very well. regular repositioning of a group or a layer brings up the progress indicator dialog box.

    so far I have tried:

    -Disable layer previews (improve things a little bit, but still unusable with the largest number of layer)

    -changed the performance parameters (cache level: 2 or 4 and tile size 128 k) (also no effect)

    the only thing that seems to help is to divide the file in seveal apart those who have fewer layers, but this isn't really a viable long term for me, I use layers in and need a more global vision.

    others found a solution? I can't imagine being the only one with this problem.

    Yes, related to the layer thumbnail. If you turn off layer thumbnails, or change them to "entire document" instead of 'boundaries of the layer', the problem goes away.  Default CS5 to "entire document" for layer thumbnails, so did not show the problem.

    And the good news is that it relates to a difficulty that I already have in the tests.

  • generate the ramp of the order of the layers

    Is there a method (effect or script) that will apply a linear ramp to layers based on where they sit in the comp?  For example... If it is a composition of 100 layers, layer 1 would turn white and 100 layer would be black.  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated... trying to figure out a quick solution to generate a picture of ramp based on the order of the layers.

    You can apply the hue and saturation of your layer. You can then add an expression to the brightness value.  The expression is very simple.  It only requires that you know how many layers to use.

    If you have 100 layers and a composition of eight bits and then each layer must be reduced in luminance of 255÷100. Expressions include the number of layer by using the index of the expression.

    The expression looks like this:

    (index - 1) * 25.5;

    Now just duplicate your layer 100 times.

    The top will have a luminance you 04 Black, the background will have a luminance value of 255.

    I'll doublecheck this when I get to a computer, but I think it's perfect.

  • Effect that takes place

    I came across an animation illustrating a series of diagonal lines takes place as a fan. The work is pretty simple, but I didn't know how to build this legacy and I was wondering if there could be an expression to create this kind of effect.  I appreciate any suggestions.  Here is the link below for the animation.

    It's just an exercise in basic mathematics. If you place a control slider on a layer zero, and then use the index (the number of layer) as a multiplier you can fan the layers by simply adjusting the slider. Add to this an if else statement to count the number of layers and stop to increase the angle when the circle is filled and you have the solution.

    If you put the layer zero with the slider at the bottom of the layer stack this expression should work for you:

    CTRL is the value of the slider control

    numSeg counts the number of layers of line in the model by subtracting 1 by the number of layer from the layer of null (null must be down)

    Val calculates the angle between the layers when they are uniformly distributed in a circle

    If the statement indicates whether the CTRL (value of the slider) is below the number of segments can multiply the value of cursor multiplied by the number of layer 1 (so the top layer does not turn) and then divide this value by the number of segments.

    The other if the statement indicates if the value of the slider is equal or greater than the number of layers, rotate the layer by layer number multiplied by 360 divided by the number of layers. This evenly distributes the layers around the circle.

    The value + mult to the end just says take the initial rotation value and to add the new value of the rotation of this layer. This works if you set the rotation angle of the departure first layer. If you want to control after duplicate layers then replace the 'value' with the expression angle controller.

    All you have to do to make this work is to set the anchor point to one end of a line segment, add a cursor of expression to a null value, put nothing down, then add the expression to the line layer and duplicate as many times as you want.
