  So, I'm having a problem getting my pages are displayed correctly. This should show the page 9 and 10, not 1.9 and 1.10. I can't figure out how to remove the 1.

  Hey people,

  Having a problem I can't seem to understand. I'm carrying a book with a bunch of references and notes. When I insert the first note, all nice and good works, as long as I am referencing things on the same page. As soon as I move on to a second page with notes, numbers restart themselves.

  Then on page one, my grades 1,2,3. In the text box notes, they are properly referred to as 1, 2, and 3. On page two, I have the notes 4 and 5. When I "insert a reference", the text box down restarts at 1, send me references 1 and 2 instead of 4 and 5.

  In the reference options, "numbers to restart all" is NOT selected. I tried everything, to no avail.

  I am fairly new to inDesign, you can provide any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Page auto numbering problem if I export to PDF

  I use IDS 5.5 with all updates. I set up a book and when I export to PDF for print, fourth chapter numbering remains the same (namelly pages 56 and 57) although I have implemented correctly master pages with the special character of AutoNumber. If I export only this chapter as a document, it exports all right. No problem with the numbers of the pages (?). In ID, the numbers look ok. I have not tried to print directly fron ID, I guess it will print ok, but it's a very strange behavior... Thanks much for any thoughts.

  It is unlikely, that there is a problem with Acrobat, try opening this chapter only and exportingit to idml, then resave as indd.

• Table of contents page numbering problem

  I do turn a problem in which the Table of contents, newly created or updated to date, is not its own pages, causing all the page numbers next to be turned off by the number of pages in the table of contents itself.

  What I am doing wrong?

  I never heard of something like that happening.

  The only thing I can think of is with Smart Text Reflow option preferences?

• Non-consecutive page numbering problem

  I use Adobe In Design CS4 for the first time and have a problem with a separate paging. I've set up a master page which is the same for all chapters and the first four chapters number pages correctly and consecutively; the following starts on page 18, instead of the consecutive 61 and then begins the numbering again 56 but he continues. So, is it possible to number easily all the pages of all documents in 'book' consecutively and in one command?

  Or is it possible to copy the master pages that appear to work documents that are not correctly numbering? I can't seem to find a simple solution for this, but I bet there's a.

  Have you used the Panel book for updating the Sections and the Numbeing? It is in the Panel Menu book to fly (small arrow in the top right of the Panel)

  With setting through the book panel - open each document and check in the page layout > numbering and Section option too.

  If it does not, remove the documents from the book panel and reimport them one at a time, and the option of numbering and section game you go.

  I don't know why - but sometimes when you set the option of numbering and section of the document, that it does not change in the book - I could never understand a reason for it or probably, I was doing something wrong.

  We have set up the global intercompany system and use for several months in production (11i - 11.5.8).
  When you create a transaction of GIS mannual, the numbering of the transaction is set to auto apart from open entoilees transactions (where another set of numbering with - post-fix IMP).
  
  Recently when we audit transactions after Manual IC000... IC00 52... 63 created.
  The numbering series jumped * 10 * numbers without assign transactions.
  
  Since it is a feture of oracle, is it a bug or any idea what's past?

  All sequences maintained by Oracle, Oracle will retain a number in its Cache for performance problems.

  Issues related to this cache can be cleared and that numbers can be ignored by the system, stoppage abrupt and other databases.

  You can see the cache of Application Developer-> Application-> database-> sequence.

  What is a Word document with chapter numbering that you opened in Pages? What specific version of Pages?

  V5.6.1 auto-incremental offer Pages, or Pages ' 09 chapter numbering, much less, multilevel numbering. Only automatic incremental hierarchical numbers are lists, but you can not enter live Start at: 5.2.7 as only integer values are allowed. There is no field "Start finally" input, checkbox or selection in Pages ' 09 or v5.6.1.

  Maybe the Pages ' 08 v3.0.3 that I have not? You specify the version of Pages claim to use.

  Is there a way to keep a paragraph number list style to pick up other numbers of paragraph style lists?

  Hello

  I want to be able to enter a formula in a cell that has basically two other cells but if two cells contain values and then to the 10% discount.

  I'm running an event that if the books gone two days, they get a 10% discount.  So A1 has total for day 1, B1 has total for the day 2.  If both contain values then the total cell will deduct 10%, otherwise it will leave values as is.

  I don't see how to do this. Help!

• Problems of paragraph CS4 styles

  I had weird problems with paragraph styles in InDesign CS4, I've not had in CS2. The first weird problem that happened in a class project where somehow a style is stuck in the head of the program, so to speak, and any model, I try to apply by default to that stuck. It still occurs in that particular file, no matter what I try. The "blocked" style is actually not one of the styles that I ended by definition, so it must have been a point I tried to a certain point and then discarded. I tried to remove completely all the styles and start over, I tried to 'Break link to Style' before then trying to apply one of my styles... I always get stuck style.

  Then, I experiment me in a test document, with styles of work the way they are supposed to have SOME success and ran across another small problem: when I select a number of paragraphs to apply a numbered list, the numbers appear as they should. Then I click on the icon of the new style at the bottom of the styles palette to create a style based on that and the style label 'Style of paragraph 1' appears in the palette. As soon as I click on this style to open dialogue to rename it, all the numbers change to '1 '. And then if I try to apply the style to another series of selected paragraphs, they all are numbered '1' also. It works this way any numbering system, I use... all 'A' or 'I' or other.

  I already tried to uninstall and reinstall InDesign without result. I also tried to reset the InDesign preferences. I am unfortunately the glitchy things with Photoshop CS4 also experience. I have a fairly new iMac 24 "2.8 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 G of Ram and running OSX 10.5.6. I bought the software supplied with the Design Premium Suite.

  The first problem is probably caused by your having a character applied to the text style. This can simplify the application of really confusing paragraph styles. Try now Option and shift keys when you click on the name of the paragraph style.

  The numbering problem is caused by your expects too much of a unique style. You have the style defined to start numbering at 1 instead of continuing from the previous. You can get with a unique on the latter if you never want to restart page numbering in a second list. But if you must restart a list then you will need at least two, one to start the numbering and the other to continue.

• NB100, keyboard-numbers instead letters problem!

  Hi guys, can anyone help? Last July the keyboard on my NB100 developed a fault. The keys U, I, O, J, K, L and M when you press a given 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 numbers.
  As it was still under warranty, I sent it back to be repaired. Everything was fine until today, when he started to do the same.
  I checked that UK keyboard is selected (I even installed the United Kingdom International keyboard software) and I've updated the BIOS. All to nothing does not. I checked for viruses and spyware, there is none.
  I don't want the expense of another repair that the Netbook is now out of warranty.

  Someone at - it an idea of what the problem might be?

• Problem using applescript to put data into the table of numbers with column heads

  I have extracted the data from certain Web pages and want to place the data items in a table of numbers.  I wrote the applescript to extract pairs of data into two lists, but encountered a problem when you try to put the data items in a table of numbers.

  I hope I've isolated the problem eventually reduce version of the data table and writing.

  I arbitrarily chose to line 3 of the table to demonstrate the problem.

  Each data item is associated, due to its position in the list, with a label that determines the column of the data table, where it should be placed.

  The illustrated script pitches the 2nd data element in the list in the column headed "Lin".  This seems to work ok.  But if q is set to 1 the script fails with

  (2) you are putting the value 22 (point 2 of nominative) in cell D3, where column heading of D = "Flax", which is article 2 of the theLabels?

  If so, disable it. Known to cause this problem for many users.
