Nvidia card must be connected to CUDA Mercury acceleration?

Before I go spend a bunch more money on display cards...

Let's supposed I had an ATI 5870 driving 3 monitors... and I also had a 4000 Quardo installed... but connected to the monitors of no....

First always see and use the 4000 CUDA cores to accelerate the performance of first?

Briefing note 1

I had already enough degradation of performance and hassle trying to run a 4870 + GT120... so I will try to avoid mixing the brand cards different monitors in 1 line system

Briefing note 2

I'm on a full charge MacPro Nehalem 2009

No, Yes. There is no need to connect monitors to use the Quadro 4000 card. It requires however correct installation of the operating system.

If you ask a question next time, do it in a clear and understandable way.

Nvidia card must be connected to CUDA Mercury acceleration?

N ° it must be installed, but not need to connect to monitors.

First always see and use the 4000 CUDA cores to accelerate the performance of first?

Yes. If properly implemented.

Try to avoid the conflicting issues and create confusion.

  • Engine reading Mercury and NVIDIA cards

I assumed that this has been discussed in the past, but my research turned up empty.

I run CS4 body for a while but am upgrading to 5.5 organization and I also want to go ATI to NVIDIA to get CUDA mercury reading improving.

I'm glad I checked that I discovered that only a very few cards consumer (no Quadro) is listed.

  • GeForce GTX 285 (Windows and Mac OS)
  • GeForce GTX 470 (Windows)
  • GeForce GTX 570 (Windows)
  • GeForce GTX 580 (Windows)
  • I want to go with the consumer line because my PC is also used for other things and is not a PC edition devoted.

If it's true that these are the only ones that work?  Or is that a lot of PC of areas where things work (such as memory and motherboards), but not everyone is put to the test...

I saw a site where it said that you had to hack a file or something in order to get other cards NVIDIA Cuda to work in the mercury with Pr Pro mode even if they were equal to or greater in power than these...

    Thanks for the help,

    BJBBJB1

I guess the question is if you think Adobe is likely to reduce the number of cards taken in charge or he hard code in the program.  Personally, I think CS6(+?) could fully support CUDA cards.

FWIW, I just do the hack with my GTX 560 Ti card and it worked.  I'm running the PPBM right now.  Unfortunately, my AMD Opteron 165 system based, RAM DDR (not number) based has a LARGE number of bottlenecks that kill performance, BUT it's much better with the 560 card than without!

The previous card, I had was an ATI Radeon X1950XTX.  However, I gave up on them after that they don't provide for her drivers for Win7.  Yes, the Vista 64 drivers worked, but without support, I have a quite expensive anchor point.  IMO, Nvidia, however, is much better than ATI in driver support.  So I will stay with them for a while.  Just my experience, though.  Hey, I have a few old 6600GT cards and Nvidia has drivers for Win7 64-bit available.  And it's an old card.  In any case...

The GTX 570 should provide more than enough power for the current iterations of first.  ATI provides an 'equivalent' (OpenCL), but Adobe, for some reason, is not support.

I hear you on Adobe supporting a larger number of CUDA cards.  I know that CUDA programmers and they tell me that the code is not limited by the cards.  You call the driver/CUDA features card and it works.  So I'm at a loss to understand that.  It simply limits their customer satisfaction.  It is not like they are not big enough to test.

FWIW, the GTX 560 it seems to work well with CS5 and I guess would work well with CS5.5.

Good luck in your adventures.  As I buy the additional hardware, I'll try to update here.

  • CC in Photoshop choose Nvidia card?

    Hi all

I have a MSI Apache Pro GE72 - 2QF portable computer that is running Windows 10 and which is a 64-bit

The machine has two graphics cards. One is integrated a 5600 Intel HD Graphics and the dedicated card is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 M

As I was installing the laptop (which is designed as a gaming computer), the Nvidia GeForce experience App popped up telling me a driver should be updated. I clicked it several times in a matter of days, but it wouldn't connect. I made sure that my wifi was strong and stable. I even called Time Warner to return them to their end.

I went on their site and clicked on something that I downloaded a newer version of the G.F.Experience application which then update card of Nvidia graphics.

However, before I updated the Nvidia card I went to Device Manager and open to all devices to see if updates were needed. I found about 22 of them, and so I proceeded to update alone. Thus, after having updated the Nvidia card, I returned to the Device Manager and noticed the Radio switching device had a Code 19 error. After much research I decided to follow the advice of someone on a forum who said, I needed to uninstall the Radio switch and then restart the computer and then return to reinstall. But when I returned the error code 19 had disappeared and the resettlement option was not present. So, I guess it was fixed. Despite this, I thought it was weird that the resettlement option was not available.

I checked for if ensure that I could pair my phone with the laptop... that I could do and then I sent a picture by Bluetooth of my phone to the laptop and the wifi worked very well and so it also had me believing that the error code of the pilot has been resolved.

After all this, I downloaded Photoshop CC 2015 with the help of technical support Adobe. While he started something said that the graphic card had a problem and that I would not be able to use the card of the chart at all. I asked the person to Adobe tech on this subject and he said to ignore that everything would be fine and the error message is a mistake.

I opened Photoshop and of course 3D was available but I never went in the preferences to check on the OpenGL - or at least I don't remember if I did or not. But I test it and I could do a 3D object.

    All good... good? Nope.

Because I did have a lot of time to familiarize myself with 2015 as but I wanted to also install Photoshop CC and so I advanced and installed and when I did it was not any pop ups saying I would have a problem. But when I went to open the 3D options are grayed out and something that said to be activated the OpenGL or something of the sort.

I called Adobe and the tech person tried to manually tell Photoshop to choose the Nvidia driver, but he was not able to do this work. He told me that I have to call Microsoft and ask them to uninstall the Intel BIOS driver! UH WHAT! I really do not understand this at all because my Dell has died and who is 3.5 years old also had the same situation with the GPU. It has a built-in HD Intell graphics card and a dedicated Nvidia GTX 650 M card and they worked perfectly well with Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP, Inkscape, and many others.

I then called MSI (the manufacturer of my machine) and their 'technical support' was not very helpful at all and was not listening very well. They ended up telling me that the best thing to do was to reset the laptop to factory settings, and it is as well as what I did.

I do not plan to update the Nvidia driver this time because I continued my quest for answers and found another forum where someone said that they had the same problem after they have updated their Nvidia card.

I'm going to re-download the creative cloud and will pray everything works, but just in case I still have the same problem, I hope someone here can have the solution because Adobe, Microsoft and Nvidia, MSI have not been able to solve the problem for me and I really like to get back to work.

So if anyone knows about why even if the computer is configured to allow each application automatically decide what card it must use

Sorry for writing as much as I know that everyone is just as busy as I am and so I want you to know that I really appreciated you taking your time to read on my computer and software trauma all. Even if you don't have a solution, any suggestion would be also greatly appreciated.

I'll be back to let you know if everything is OK or if I was able to find a solution. Are cross the fingers and everything else! Oh, I hope I have posted this call for assistance in respect of the right category. I know it's been on Photoshop, but I'm sure that the graphics card is compared to all the CC Apps.

  • First CC/Nvidia card - could not find capable video game modules

I just bought a new laptop Toshiba Qosmio x 75 with a 770 M Intel HD 4600 Graphics and Nvidia graphics card.

    Data sheet:

    • 8.1 Windows x 64
    • Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4 GHz
    • 16 GB of Ram
    • 2 500 GB @ 7200 RPM SATA

I have CS5 and wanted to use first CC. downloaded PPCC compared to clouds and open a few books on CS5 a few time s. Had to add card for laptop for the best card CUDA faster to be recognized and everything was fine. a few reboots later I received an error "Unable to find capable video game modules" and were not able to open PPCC since. He stops on Vignette.aex.

Opening first CC was obviously using the map intel, I have tried to use the Nvidia card so I assigned the best 3GB memory card to the MCCP. I could open some time after.

    I tried:

    • CC PD uninstalled and installed several times.
    • Uninstalled and installed 770 M Nvidia driver several times. 770 M driver updated several times.
    • changed to 'use as administrator'
    • GeForce GTX 770Mcards adding"this should be done from AFX and other programs. It was recognized even in first so that I could always open the program (before the boot error)
    • tried to change the "compatibility" in previous versions of Windows (found some corrections on adobe threads)

    • "User profile-name" in "Documents/Adobe/PremierPro/Profile' compensation

I have read around forums Adobe, searched google and you tube, and it is a problem that is underway. I have not been able to find a definitive answer from adobe or anyone else.  Seems people are just throwing ideas out there and some work and some never get their determination of the question and give up. This does not help me solve the problem and I need a list of tasks that will help me to resolve this problem immediately, please.

I could never open the application by modifying settings or deleting and then reinstalling the software until I went back to a past point since before the issue of restoration. It works and has a few weeks. I think that the problem results from the Intel graphics card driver update. I have 2 graphics cards.

I wonder in this sense, since the restoration, but I don't do anything until I get this project. Too risky. Certainly a question that must be resolved with Adobe communicating CC equipped with part 3. John T Smith's right, I've seen several issued reported with two cards, but it's hard to say having so many problems with CPU chart.

  • How to activate the STD 4 K on discreet NVidia card with XPS 15

I have a laptop Dell XPS 15 (9530) with both the discrete Nvidia GeForce 750 M (2 GB) & integrated 4600 Intel graphics cards. I also have a Dell UP2414Q external connected via a cable DisplayPort 1.2 (1.2 is enabled on the screen). It is running Windows Pro 8.1. Likely to be relevant, the laptop has 16 GB of ram + i7 - 4702HQ CPU.

Here's my question: the monitor is supposed to be able to do 4 k @ 60 Hz if you use DP1.2 and discreet card. Under the resolution of the screen I just get 2 external monitor (1920 x 2160 each). If the monitor is essential two screens in a complete with two bars of tasks and two desktop images. I note that under Advanced settings from the resolution of the screen, it shows the view uses the integrated Intel, not the discrete card card, which I assume is the question. No one knows how to do use the discrete card rather if I get a 4 k @ 60 Hz enabled screen?

Side note: I installed all the updates driver latest for the NVidia card and all windows updates.

I had the same problem, and I found the solution, which removes the current Intel 4600 driver by going to the [Device Manager-> uninstall-> remove driver software]

then by installing the latest driver Intel 4600 presented on this page (http://xps-15.wikia.com/wiki/Latest_Drivers#Intel_HD_Graphics_4600_Driver), in my case the new driver was version 10.18.10.3960

Now my 9530 XPS is able to drive an external monitor of 4K (in my case with the Dell UP2414Q), using the DisplayPort 1.2 and 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz

  • Installation of a 2nd video card (AMD) with NVidia card

Since I was two PCIe slots I can add a 2nd video card, but I don't know if it's just a matter of unit design, initiate and adding drivers for Radeon.

I would use the most powerful in the primary, and the goal is to add more monitor (and optionally use the AMD card for mining).

The oldest is the NVidia card, which is already installed.

Y at - it a special procedure to deal with this configuration, or to avoid problems?

I couldn't come up with the right items with search engines, because of the difficulty to guess a string of research to that effect.

I hope someone has some good advice for me, thank you in advance.

What are your specs system - cpu, graphics card and power supply watts and the brand?

-It is not a good idea to use two graphics card marks because there is a high probability of driver conflicts.

-So eager to use two cards in SLI (Nvidia) or Xfire (AMD) you cannot mix two brands, and

to SLI, you have the same model.

-You can run two monitors on a single card, so unless you use three screens for the game there should be

no need for two cards and my understanding is that "mining" has not been profitable for some time.

You need a high-end card and uses a lot of power.

-By adding a second graphics card you must also explain the extra current consumed by

Card and if you use a machine OEM (HP, DELL, etc.) feeding is likely

only powerful enough to the original configuration of the machine, this will be a new power supply

    probably be necessary.

[Note: this should probably be punted the Hardware section]

You have several choices, depending on things like budget, and if you need/expect commercial support for the card.  The least expensive and most effective option would be to go get MacVidCards on EBay.  Just look for this exact word on EBay and hunt around for its EBay page.  Dave takes on PC nVidia cards and makes them compatible with Mac Pro EFI, so that they can start successfully, view the grey Apple screen and run at full speed.  nVidia will not support that, nor will Apple and retailer of the card or the will.  But, you will have access to cards that have historically been PC only.

On the other end of the spectrum of: grand prize and less performance, you have nVidia Mac-specific maps.  Some of them are listed here.  I would not recommend any of them, but you will get the support of the end user of any manufacturer buy you from.

  • CS5 and NVIDIA card

Hello, what new NVIDIA cards work better with CS5?  Listed for NVIDIA video cards are old...

    Thank you

    Craig

Don't know what you are really asking for. All the 'work', you gave have installed them properly, but "better"? It's almost a moot point, at least with AE. It uses OpenGL sparingly, is not really relevant. Each contemporary map will be fullfill these requirements. You can throw it in a 3 year card, since the tray of 20 dollars for the budget, and you would see no difference for a 400 high-end one buck. Pretty well, this applies to EI, but in some extent to Photoshop and other programs. The one notable exception here would be Premiere Pro if you want to use the Mercury playback engine, but if you do not - well, save money, buy a mid-range card at best.

Can I add one or more high end Nvidia card to one of my workstations?

One is a SR5125CL, the other is a d5200t.  The software I want to run over them does not accept ATI cards of rather.

The GPUGRID project, where I want to participate more, prefer cards in the GTX 275 GTX 295 range. I won't buy one until we know if they will even in the case.

I read that they may require an upgrade of the power supply; No information on this?  What about information on the question of whether the cooling is likely to be adequate?

No need matching between new checks, just the graphics cards.

Also, where can I find estimates on the number of watts of power these machines use now, so I guess if I can handle the heat of the use of the rise to power?
