  Open the catalog in the Catalog Manager and then go to the users folder... here you can see the full list of user records... here just change the property of the user ID administrator userid from folder... Then you should be able to access the folder of the user. This way you are not messing around with the permissions of the user to have.

  but out of curiosity I know why you want access to 100 + users of personal data? is there any requirement for business or looking for an upgrade?

  I use Mapviewer 11 g with OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 (Patch of July 2015) version. I'm working to create reports of OBIEE card for Canadian users. I use mapviewer MVDEMO default schema.

  I created some Canadian Provinces and themes of city by using the ISO_A2 query = "CA". I also created a simple Tiler at my end by using a new base map, but it's somehow does not show the Canadian provinces and the names of the cities in the map. It shows all porvinces limits and it is filled with the color but I want to see him as we see in google maps. Can you please help me to fix it? I would like to know how to enlarge it to the street level, but I want to see the name of city, the Provinces and the indicated streets on the map first.

  OBIEE SampleApp has good examples of this.

  A view of the map consists of the following:

  -A (theme mapviewer) layer to make the measure by location (for example, revenue per State)

  -A background page for additional context (for example, the street level detail). This can come from an external source, if the clients (browsers) to access the OBIEE server have access to the internet.

  -BI analysis with measures and location ID (for example, revenue per State)

  In your case you can use an external symbol tile layer as a background map and use the Canadian provinces and cities themes (aka BI layers) to display the measurements for the card.

  I have installation OBIEE thanks to the integration of the EBS. The part of authentication works very well. I have problems with my group permissions.
  
  I created two responsibilities EBS, groups of RPD and presentation catalog groups with the same exact name:
  -BI administrator
  -BI user
  The BI administrator group has admin access and BI users group has just basic access.
  
  Here is what I noticed:
  1. when a user connects to the EBS and clicks on the responsibility of the administrator of BI, it gets successfully in OBIEE with admin access. If the same user opens a new browser or even using a different computer and selects the user BI, it still gets admin access.
  
  2. I have the Server BI and BI Presentation Server. I use the same user and this time click the BI user first. He gets successfully in OBIEE with basic access. If the same user opens a browser or use another computer and selects the responsibility of BI administrator, it still gets access to basic user.
  
  There is no "Logout" button when you configure the EBS with OBIEE integration. I think the problem is that the group permission is stored in the memory of the server somewhere usually, it gets deleted when the user clicks on logout, but it is not available. Does anyone know how I work around this problem?

  Hi all

  I recently patched one of OBIEE 11.1.1.7.140715 environmental OBIEE. Everything went well, I can able to connect without any problems.

  In my existing configuration MSAD, I added a few parameters to get the list of users in the ad group, that I couldn't connect to Analytics. I changed the password to the user configured MSAD and in the console EM change the password to BISystemUser and rebooted. After that, I couldn't access analytics with any AD as well as native users.

  I'm not able to see users AD including "BisystemUser" of the logic of the Web. Looks like its corrupt. Please suggest me in this situation.

  I will delete the existing configuration of MSAD and reconfigure newly, is this will help?

  I'm on OBIEE 11.1.1.7.140527. I added users newly created the Group BIConsumer. I want to restrict these users to access the catalog in OBIEE.

  What would be the way to go if I want to disable the access to the catalogue of OBIEE.

  We have configured the OBIEE for version 12 of the APCC. My question concerns the user access to reports and dashboards OBIEE. How we can configure user with only read access to dashboards.

  I know there are Supply Chain Analyst responsibility that is created by default, but if I create new responsibility how can I create a link that to OBIEE.

  In the case of CCPA, I guess that you are authenticating by EBS, so the responsibilities in EBS are mapped to those you see in Enterprise manager (him must match with the exact same names)

  Now, if you need create a new responsibility only reading custom, you must go to the EBS > System Administration > Security > responsibility > Define > Test_RO create

  Go to EM and create the same called Test_RO and also to change the existing role of BIConsumer and make this Test_RO as a member of it.

  And connect on OBIEE and go to Administration > manage privileges > Restrict access what ever you don't want these read access only to users.

• Can no longer access OBIEE

  I have two in my development environment linux servers, one for my application of OBIEE and one for my oracle database.
  yesterday, I installed PHP, apache and oracle customer instant on the database server, and respected by the Oci8 libraries for use with PHP.
  Today I can not access OBIEE: I put my user and password in the login page, but after clicking on the "connect" button, I'm stuck indefinitely in a page "current connection".
  
  I don't think it's an authentication problem: I can access 'em or the editor with the same user.
  opmnctl status is alive for all services.
  
  I checked the server applications and log Bi_server files and I found no error.
  There are other newspapers, I can check to find the problem?
  
  can someone tell me why oci8 recompliation may generated a problem to the OBIEE Server? database is in place and accessible.
  It's just a coincidence?

  I suggest to create a domain with the new RPD file using one or two tables, deploy and see how it works. RPD samples confirms that everything is going well except the RPD file or his associates.
