  Check the BIPLATFORM tablespace, by default, the size of the tablespace is reserved for the auto grow to 1 GB. Once it hits the limit that the inserts will be silently fail (sort of, because the defective inserts will be displayed in the file nqserver.log.)

• Creating an OBIEE analysis that uses a filter to group items in a column

  I am needing to group several elements in an analysis that I build in OBIEE 11g
  
  In my field, I have a table called result_code. The codes are numeric starting with 100, 200, 300, 400, etc. all the way up to 900. I want to put codes 100-400 in a group called 'Success' and to put codes 500-800 in a group called "Fail", leaving the 900 for a group code called 'unknown '.
  
  I'm doing it through a filter of analysis by selecting 'SQL expression' under ' add more Options and enter the instruction box below.
  
  SELECT case when result_code = '100' then 'Success'
  When result_code = "200" and "success".
  When result_code = '300' and 'Success'
  When result_code = '400' and 'Success'
  When result_code = "500" then "go bankrupt".
  When result_code = "600" and "bankrupt".
  When result_code = '700' then 'failure '.
  When result_code = '800' then 'Fail '.
  another case of end 'unknown '.

  I get a syntax error when I try to run it. I don't know if entering an expression SQL is the right way to address the issue. What is the best way to group items in a filter? If a SQL expression is the right way to go on what should the syntax look like?

  Hi MJ,.

  To meet the syntax error, the case statement must end with just a 'end' and not a 'end case. But I think that you can directly create a new column in the criteira for grouping in the analysis. You don't need to create a filter for it.

  I can think of the following way to get what you're trying to do:
  1. use locations as Naveen has suggested. That would be the best way that binning is a feature provided by OBI to reach exactly the same thing.
  2. try your way. From the result code in a column of answers
  3. create a new column to the RPD/database for the populous result code. If you have answers adhoc users, will save their efforts to derive the result every time code.

  I use Obiee 10 g. I have a date in my report column, and what I'm doing, that's if the date is less than the current date, then I want to add a condition (blush the bottom of the column in the report) for this column. I looked in a few forums and found that system.currentTime is a variable of default presentation and I tried to use it, but it does not work.
  
  What I've done, in the responses, I went to the properties of the date column, colum went to add selected condition then add a variable presentation and then the phrase I used was system.currentTime and then chose the red background color, but that does not reflect when I click on the results.
  
  Please let me know how to solve this problem. Thank you.

  Follow these steps:

  (1) take an additional column, call the 'DIFF' and in the fx, enter this:

  TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_DAY, VALUEOF ("CURRENT_DATE"), your_date_column)

  This will be negative, each time your date column value is less than the current date.

  (2) on your date_column, click the Format button and add that the conditional formatting based on the DIFF column blush the background when DIFF is "less than 0."

  This will achieve what you want. Hide the DIFF column.

  Hello

  Heap - organized tables are your usual routine tables. It is created using the BUNCH of the ORGANIZATION of the CREATE TABLE statement clause. This is the default value.

  The other variant of this clause is ORGANIZATION INDEX, which means that you will create an organized Index of Table. In other words, it is a table that is stored in a B-tree, like an index.

  You also have an EXTERNAL BODY, which means that you will create an external table. Here is generally flat files outside of the database that you can order the database to see tabular to use SQL (read only) against. You will also need the settings on how the data are presented on the file, so that your database knows which column will match that of the data.

  The COMPRESS on 10G is known as the "basic compression" and it works on ordinary table segment blocks, which are organized by a bunch of tables.

  I installed obiee 11g on windows server 2003 64-bit, all my processes are running while I look in the console of Fusion middleware. I was trying to see the State through OPMN. I tried the opmn access by the entry in the file
  
  Middlewarehome\instances\instance1\bin
  
  I double-clicked opmnctl windows batch file, but nothing comes on the screen. I don't see any coming Black window and showing me the status of all processes of obiee running, I noticed that clicking opmnctl launches a black window, but it disappears in a few seconds?
  
  Can someone tell me please how to see my system components with opmnctl?

  Does anyone know of a document that explains the restoration of the database and recovery when you use the block and the incremental backups the track changes? I understand how to turn the OTC market, and how it can shorten the time to do an incremental backup. I need advice when choosing the frequency of backups of 1-0 and level level and how it affects my food options. I also need to decide if the level 1 backups update the copy of most recent data on the disk file.
  
  If the copy of the data on disk file is updated by each level 01:00 am I right to say that I can restore to point in time that this moment occurs after level 1 has been taken? If so, then maybe I don't have level 1 update the copy of the data file on disk. If I take a level 0 Sunday and daily level 1 Monday - Saturday, so I think I can restore to any point in time after the 0 level.
  
  A lot of documentation explains my backup options, but there is less material tell how my backup choice affects my food options.

  BCT applies to backups only, there is no connection with the restoration.
  I think you are confused about the difference between

  (1) incremental of backups
  and
  (2) "normal incremental backups".

  In the first case (see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmbckba.htm#CHDEHBFF), in the base implementation because an incremental backup is applied to a still image copies and you cannot go back to an earlier point in time – before the changes applied.

  'Normal' incremental backups are done after a full backup (level 0), you can return to the level 0 backup earlier.
  RMAN follows rules of detention, in the basic version of an incremental backup that is updated, you have a retention of redundancy policy 1. This means that a full backup (image of copies, which are updated by the incremental backups again and again) is available.
  Backup incremental 'Normal' in most cases after a few days recovery windows - a time window.

  I'm OBIEE patch on a server, but no one knows what version it is running. I can't seem to find the exact version of anywhere. I know that the version is 11.1.1.6, but that's all.

  Connection for analytics and answers preferably with the user administrator (usually weblogic) and click Administration. You should see the version of the page.

• placement of words on a line using follow-up CS4

  As a former user of Quark, I'm used to be able to manually adjust the tracking on a word slightly to make fit it on a line. When I try to do this in Indesign, it doesn't let me, even though I see it fit. (image 1 below, the first line)  If I turned on the hyphenation, it will allow the word hold on the line break of a word later in the paragraph. (image 2 below) I want to be able to decide where I do or do not want to cut the words. I can't find a preference that... any ideas/suggestions? Thank you very much.

  

  

  This is probably because InDesign uses paragraph instead of single-line composer composer.

  Check subsection submenu panels.

  When he says of parameters and LOV is inherited from the analysis of BI, what is he referring to OBIEE analysis? And when he says "'filter variables" what is it referring to the analysis of OBIEE?   I managed to get this working. The documentation is very vague. The BEEP report gets the parameters 'default' and LOV based on the presentation and the column variable in OBIEE analysis he uses as a data set. You can't see these variables as parameters on the BEEP report presentation.

  If you need to use variables of presentation on OBIEE analysis, with a default value. Then create the report BEEP with this analysis, as the set of data. Don't create settings on the side TONE. The BEEP report on a dashboard and there you go, the BEEP report data will be filtered according to the value of the variable of presentation.

  We had set up monitoring of its use in our 10g environment. After the upgrade of the repository and the catalog using the upgrade wizard, we need to make any additional changes to the use of configuration in OBIEE 11 g of follow-up?

  Hi Vishal,

  We need to make some configuration changes on top of changes in 10 g

  --> New columns are added to the S_NQ_ACCT table, you need to import these new columns in SPR

  -> Use followed is managed centrally to 11g. Instead of changing the use of monitoring in Nqsconfig.ini folder settings, connect on EM and provide details as explained here.

  Without the remote control will not work OBIEE 11g because the remote control allows you to install certain patterns in a database that are required by median Fusion as Oracle BI EE ware products. These schemas can be installed on any certified version of database such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2 database. There are patterns that are required by the main components of Oracle Fusion Middleware, although there are Oracle BI EE patterns requires, as the Planner, BI Publisher, for the new product of the scorecard.

  Note: You can install it without the remote, but we must approach below.
