  I'm interested if there is no function in OLAP DML, which is similar to the function of TROLLING. LAG function returns the measured value for the previous dimension member (or a few members of the back dimension). I would like to know if this function exists which does not return a meaningless measurement for the dimension member value, but the measured value for the parent of the live dimension member.

  _parentrel relationship identifies the parent of each Member of the dimension of a hierarchy.

  use:
  the time - dimension
  time_parentrel - Member parent expression
  time_parentrel (time_hierlist 'CALENDAR') - expression for parent along the CALENDAR hierarchy

  Sales - measure
  Sales (Time time_parentrel) - expression returning sales for the parent of the current Member along the existing hierarchy.
  sales (time time_parentrel (time_hierlist 'EXERCISE'))-expression returning the sales for the parent of the current Member along the FISCAL hierarchy.

  You can search the user's Guide the OLAP DML for many examples of the use of the OLAP DML commands/functions/objects in expressions.

  "Task" is the structure of distribution, a.1, a.2 are level relative to a.3.
  
  As we can see the 'h' is the total (cumulative) of the 'Project' = 'a '. When a.3 for value but a.2, obtained a.1 null.
  
  I can see null values in BEx (Business Explorer, SAP BW) report but not in OBIEE report.
  
  In short, we can display null values in action.
  
  Hope I explained it correctly.

  PS the reason why you see the values all here when you have only dimensions, but then they disappear when you've done is because of the way the request is generated. OBIEE don't happen in the fact table to what you actually shoot a column of the table of facts in your report. Once you do this, the generated SQL code using an inner join and causes dimensional Records label.

  I'm seeing repeated in my measurements values and trying to determine the cause

  I read a single analog channel from a module NI 9201. In order to eliminate the noise, I averaged several samples by using the ms and RMS measures VI (shown in "FPGA Code.png")

  An example of repeated values appear in the "comparison of Signals.png' for both the original signal and mean

  The sampling frequency of the NI 9201 module for a single channel is 500 kech. / s, which I also checked by measuring the sampling frequency (the code for this is also reflected in "FPGA Code.png")

  On the target of cRIO RT I record these values in a loop timed 500us using 1 MHz of the cRio clock

  For the ms and RMS measures VI, I tried several options, for example:
  -500 US measurement time, sample rate 500 kech. / s
  -450 US measurement time, sample rate 450 kech. / s
  -400 US measurement time, sample rate 400 kech. / s
  -US 300 measurement time, sample rate 300 kech. / s

  Each of them give measurements with repeat values to varying degrees, for both original and average signals

  I'm trying to control a power supply with labview and adjust the tension. I currently work reading in a file and measures affecting the value in the file. I now have the question I want to update this value when the file is modified, as read in the file again when it is updated and set the voltage again. I've tried several things, but if I put the file in the while loop, then it plays once and then returns 0 after the first loop. Outside the while loop it reads only the initial value.

  I'm quite new to labview so any help would be appreciated.

  You can use the File Info VI for the time that the file was modified.  If the time has changed, read the new values.

• OBIEE column contextual value supression

  We are missing the Supression of the VALUE DEFAULT radio button in the property of OBIEE (11.1.15) analytical COLUMN (all I have is REPEAT and SUPPRESS). It seems that one of our team member has changed this property to "systemic" this is why we cannot see this DEFAULT option. Did someone knows how to set default values (ie you can see all the radio three buttons, REPEAT, DELETE, by DEFAULT).

  In Acrobat Xi how can I change the default measurement to 1/4 "tool?  I can't find anywhere in preferences on how to do it?

  With active measurement tool, click anywhere on the document. This will bring up a menu. Here, you can now select 'Change scale Ratio' to set up a new report.

• OBIEE Dashboard invites value through action links

  Hi all -

  I have an ABC dashboard with dashboard for the guests 'Account name' & 'account number '.

  The account name will have several account numbers.

  Currently, if a user selects the name of the account, then in the "Account number" prompt, we will have a list of account numbers and user can choose one of them.

  Now the new requirement to register a new page for this dashboard.

  In the new page, we will have a summary report which has 'Account name', 'Account number', 'Amoun > 5000'.

  If the data are for example:

  Account name

  Account name	Account number	Amount > 5000

  Now the question is that we have an action on the 'account name' in the summary table, which will go to the 'account name value"to the dashboard 'ABC', link

  When you add a link to action on an attribute column in a table, it'll pass the values of this column and the columns to its left.

  A column will indeed pass the values of all attributes columns.

  So in your example, 'Account name' is the first column, there is nothing else on the left, a link on that action only value will be sent to your dashboard 'ABC' of Pentecost.

  If you change the account number and the name of the account (if your table is: account number |) Name of the account. Amount > 5000) with the same exact action link on the name of the Action value of the related account number (on the left of the where you clicked) will also be sent to "ABC".

  For your needs, it is perhaps easier to add the link of the action on the number of account as well.

  If you click on the account number you will send the account name and account number.

• OBIEE dashboard how to set the default value of a prompt dynamically

  I have a prompt that displays the quarter of the year. I want to put the default value of this prompt dynamically. So, if sysdate is between January and March, then fast should say 'Q1 '. If the month of sysdate is between April and June, then fast should say 'Q2'... etc.

  I set the default selection of the prompt SQL suite and put in the following code:

  SELECT BOX WHEN EXTRACT (MONTH FROM sysdate) IN (1,2,3) and THEN "Q1" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (4,5,6) and THEN "Q2" double WHEN RETRIEVED (MONTH OF sysdate) (7,8,9) THEN "Q3" double ELSE 'T4' LATE double

  However, it seems not be soon and there is no default value. I was just wondering what I'm doing wrong. Thank you!

  I am trying to build a pie chart using 2 columns of measure in obiee 11 g. I added measure 2 columns in terms of the size of the slice and rest of the sections are all empty. However, this approach shows me a pie chart, but it is not what I expect. Please see below.

  

  The pie chart shows that a single slice remaining slice does not (which is 0%). I want to display both regardless of the values, and also I can't display the legend.

  Any help with this is appreciated.

  If a slice is 0 %-> the value is probably not what is not visible in the pie chart.

  Check for the 'Measure of labels' part, should be in the box of slices.

  

  You can add the legend by checking the properties of chart.

  I tried most of the possible combinations of #, "," around the datetime string and I also tried datetime string formats YYYY/MM/DD hh: mmS AM/PM, DD/MM/YYYY "

  In writing to the other data fields don't cause any error, I only get the syntax error when I try to write in the DateTime field (data type Date/Type)

  I use LV2012 with database connectivity kit and MS Access 2010 (stuck with it, cannot be changed). Same problem with the connection of the user DSN or UDL (jet engine).

  It works with the DB tools Insert Data.vi but we want to use a direct INSERT statement using the DB tools run Query.vi, because we have had a few locks error 0 x 80004005 which can be caused by the DB tools Insert Data.vi using ADODB. Recordset.

  Is attached the vi that I use for debugging.

  Finally found the problem!

  Even if the data type is Date/time in Access, and it is possible to define the name of the DateTime field it seems to be a small Word when you use a SQL statement. The solution is to add DateTime hooks like this:

  INSERT the EXTENT (TestID, [DateTime]) VALUES (1,'2015-01-28 06:52:16 ');

• Measurement of deformation of the sine wave

  Hi people.

  I'm trying to measure the deformation of the signal coming from a range. Its a sine wave typical that distorts the increase of entry (see attachments). I was initially just to subtract a known since the signal signal to give the difference. The fault point by point is great for this. I also try to figure out the slope over time and rapid changes of the slope would indicate the point. However, point-by-point calculation of the slope gives too much error. Is it possible to generate accurate slopes or y at - it a function that determines if a signal is not sinusoidal?

  For a quick visual check, you can use vi tone detection and the export of the residual signal, maybe the effective value of the residues is a nice value (THDN)

  Measures of deformation of a periodic signal (in general) often made in the frequency domain and called harmonic distortion. Also, there are screws that can already do it for you.  (SINAD). The level of DHT is usually used.   See signal processing - wfrm measure

  Your traces resemble a calibration of accelerometer ball steel 1 g for me.

  I'm trying measureme the phase of the sine wave.

  I produced sine waveform and give '' measure spectral '' VI express to measure the magnitude and phase. The block of spectral measure gives picture of the spectrum amplitude and phase with the difference in frequency of 1 Hz.

  The input signal is 10 Hz sine wave. so I checked the 10th item in the table of phase and amplitude. I'm getting the right size. but I get different values for phase measurement

  For example, if the input signal of 0 degrees phase shift, the spectral measure gives as-90 degree. If the input signal has the phase shift of 20 degrees, the measure blocks gives as-70 degrees.

  I can't able to find that how to pass this phase-90 degree occurs.

  The spectral measurement VI uses the FFT internally. In the detailed help for the FFT, the following definition is displayed:

  

  Note that exp(-j*2*pi*theta) = cos(2*pi*theta) - i * sin(2*pi*theta). This phase shift is defined in respect to the cosine, and non sine, explaining the 90-degree turn.
