  I try to install OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 my mobile 64-bit of Windows 8 fresh

  1 installed (jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45-R28.2.7-4.1.0-windows-x64.exe) Jrockit c:\java (made sure no spaces in folders)

  2. install Oracle 11 g and tested

  3 UCR installed without any problem

  4 TMP and TEMP folders created on drive c assigned variables TEMP and TMP user for respected records

  5. I have already installed the loopback adapter and assigned to the IP 10.10.10.10 and same is added to the host file 10.10.10.10 mylenovo (mylenovo is my system name)

  6 open with the Admin command prompt

  7. changed my OBIEE software directory and run setup.exe - jreLoc c:\java\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45-R28.2.7-4.1.0

  8 has started the installation process and provided the required information BI schema platform etc.

  but failed at 98% level

  I intend to provide training of OBIEE 11g. I installed OBIEE Server 32-bit component (with weblogic component) on a machine from windows XP successfully and now want to same facility to copy any other machine in the training lab so that each machine will act as a stand-alone server.
  
  I tried to create the ghost Image and reproduce it on another machine, but he got failed as many files /weblogic services have reference the original computer name.
  
  Is there a solution to copy / migrate installation from one machine to the other?

  1. Install Oracle 11 g XE who created a database named "XE".

  Did you you grant the permissions listed here: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29751/db_oracle_11.htm#WBCSC115 ? CREATE SESSION, CREATE TABLE, CREATE VIEW, and UNLIMITED TABLESPACE.

  Have you checked the newspapers sites.log and tomcat for all errors?

  when im trying to install obiee on windows 7/windows xp, it has successfully installed up to 16%, at this stage its request for disc number 5 eventhough I browse disc number 5 quick screen always appears... What could be the problem gurus?

  Copy the entire disc in a single folder

  EG:D: / BIFiles / (subfilles) disk1, disk2, disk3, disk4, disk5

  then try to run setup.exe from the disk that will solve your problem.

  I checked the configuration and there is nothing wrong with that, more connectivity between the weblogic server and the Linux server and it checked. Also, I don't have any Enterprise edition, everything I do is at the level of the console under Linux.

  You mustn't do something extra to have 'EM running in the instance of 11 g OBI. Although it is a deployed JEE application, if your server Weblogic (WLS) is launched and up and running then your Console EM should also be running.

  You say you do all that command line. Then, start the Weblogic Server, then go to http://< your="" server="" name=""> : 7001/console

  So which rises, will

  http://: 7001/em

  That's your Console of Fusion EM and it should come as well.

  Don't mess with the XML file directly.

• Omission in the instructions for installation of Tomcat?

  It seems to be an omission in the instructions of the Joseki on Tomcat configuration. Link here

  In the section of JBoss, there is mention of ojdbc6.jar, which must be copied somewhere I had to copy the same file to a folder "lib" of Tomcat in the tomcat installation folder, or in the folder of tomcat instance. In hindsight I see not why this is so, but I think it would be appropriate with a tip on the step by step instructions.

So now if I have to extend for 1 server more managed in the same cluster (horizontal scale), and since this is a software only install mode, do I need to reinstall WLS 10.3.6 on this nouveau/deuxieme server, copy the binaries to OBIEE and configure can evolve?   Recently, I tried to install OBIEE on IIS. In the Setup Guide, I found the following instructions:

• OPM Build and Run on tomcat does not

  I'm new to OPA and OPM tools and any recently installed the application from Oracle Policy Modeling, so I'm trying to build and run my project "hello world", but I get on a pop-up saying this: "org/apache/juli/record/LogFactory.

  I should mention that I have already configured Tomcat path in the Options tab of the server shipped with my tomcat installation path. In addition, if left blank, the same error message appears.

  I'm looking for a piece of advice on how to complete the configuration of the opm-tomcat to test directly from opm project in a development environment. I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

  When OPM start the Tomcat process, it keeps in memory the Tomcat status reports.  Due to the path of Tomcat pointing to an incompatible version of Apache Tomcat, Tomcat reports a failed State, when you fix the problem (by removing the path of Tomcat) then Tomcat is able to start properly, however it does not send any immediately OPM a new status (because it has not finished to start properly) OPM will always see the previous state , and think it has yet.

  You can't fix this bug, however if you exit and then restart OPM after removing the path of Tomcat, then OPM will forget any previous has no status.

  installation of obiee 11.1.1.7.0 was in mode "Simple installation".

  Later, we applied the patches for obiee 11.1.1.7.1

  just recently, I applied after the patch for the installation of Mobile Apps Designer

  • 17004920, that enable the Mobile App Designer BI support in the catalog and the presentation service user interface
  • 17220944, the BI Mobile App Designer real application, thanks to the extension of the field of OBIEE WebLogic

  but after applying the patches, I can see the 'Mobile' Application, but when I click on the icon of a mobile application.

  nothing happens.
