Object/image to toggle the selection question

Went from CS3 to CS5 and discovered that they reorganized image selection. Can't tell if I'm cropping the image or resizing. With the selected object selection tool, the image of the circle seems to indicate that it is safe to crop, but it's still an uncertain when you work quickly. Is there any way to disable this, so I can go back to the more intuitive object select and direct, select as separate functions. (in other words, the default CS3)

Really a pain when you're importing, cropping, and resizing. These object help executives fail to make the problem worse. I'm happy that they allow you to disable those 5.5.

TIA

  • Toggling the selection (tail) outgoing and incoming (head) point of edition

I can't find the keyboard shortcut for this trivial operation:

With the Trim tool or active ripple, I am able to manually select the tail of the outgoing clip and/or the head of the element into a mount point. I also hold command on a Mac to select both sides of the edit point.

What is the keyboard shortcut to change the selection (head/tail) about to edition?

I found it. It is CTRL + T on a Mac. I found it in this documentation (Type of rocker trim). It is a shortcut for the sequence.

  • Auto level entire image based on the selection?

I'm scanning some old magazine pages. But because certain cuts are irregular in shape, the bright white of the scanner cover is in the image. Then he throws off Auto levels & auto contrast. If I take the marquee tool to select a portion of the image, is there a way to auto level, all of the document based on the text box scrolling selected smaller?

I put option in parentheses, because it is optional, option-click if you want to see the settings dialog box. If you just click on Auto, it will call the function of auto tone, if you want a color Auto or auto contrast, need you to option-click

  • Save the selection rectangle?

I have Mac OS X with PS CS5. Is there a way to save an image in which I selected part of an image and have the selection rectangle (running ants) to be part of the file is saved so that when I reopen it the file, the selection rectangle is always visible? Thank you.

With the marquee still in place, go to your layers palette and make a new layer, then with the new layer selected, add layer mask.

When you reopen the file, and you want to select the same area again, choose your empty layer and under Select, choose Load selection. Your selection of marqueed will be in place, and you can choose the layer you want to work on.

  • Outline around the selected items of OCD

    WebHelp. RH9

I just installed IE9 and when I run my published WebHelp and select a link in the table of contents, it displays an image dotted around the selected item. This never happened with IE8, so I was wondering if there is anyway to prevent it? Is it possible to add a "outline: no ' somewhere in the RoboHelp output (as you would in styling a CSS link) so that it does not appear?

    Thank you very much

    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan,.

Unfortunately, IE was a nut that is more difficult to crack than I imagined. The problem is that IE9 supports the css schema, but the table of contents is running in mode of whims so no goodness IE9 it... There is a solution, it's just not as easy as I thought. See http://www.wvanweelden.eu/robohelp/modifying_webhelp/remove_outline_in_toc for a step by step guide to get rid of the sketch.

Note: If you let me, I would use your example on my site image. It seems much better than the image for example, I added

  • Is there a way to select the slide objects (images, buttons, etc.) in a list?

Is there a way to select the slide objects (images, buttons, etc.) in a list so that it is easier to choose a specific item when you edit a slide Captivate? The same way as 3D drawing programs have lists of objects in the scene? I have several articles on top of the other, and it becomes a pain to select the correct element.

The scenario presents items in a list. And clicking on the list allows you to select them. You can also hide, show, lock, and unlock it.

  • Help in the selection of a part of the image and turn it into an object...

    Hello world

I've never used Adobe, please bare with me. I have an image that has an object (a tree), I would like to extract and insert it into a different document. I spent a lot of time to clear the surrounding area of the photo to see it become white. I want to have nothing more than the tree. No white background or whatever it is. I know that this may be a very simple task, but as I said, I'm a newbie. Help, please!

    I have PSEv.8.

I used the brush selection (A) tool that has worked well. After the selection is made (the "mobile dash" have been around the whole tree), I went to layer > new > layer by copying. This put the tree on its own layer.

There were a couple of areas I've airbrushed with the Eraser tool. The checkerboard pattern indicates the transparency.

You can copy & paste this selection into another file

  • The specific question about the placement of an image into text.

Hello, I had a question about the placement of an image into text.

I did the contours to create text to place the image inside. My text is 5 words and two lines inside the box.

When I do create contours he gives me 2 transparent route separate layers for the top and the bottom line.

How will I be able to do that in a single layer of compound to place image that expands to the two lines?

First of all, there are two ways of describing the type. The default value creates anchored objects. You want a separate object, so hold down the Option/Alt key when you create outlines. Drag the new contours to separate the text block.

It is useful to open the layers panel and view the contents of the layer. You have created a group which consists of two transparent traces. In the layers panel, expand the layer so you can see the structure. Shift-select the two transparent traces. (Make sure that the group is not selected.)

Then choose object > tracks > make a compound path. This makes the two transparent tracks into one. Then, you can place or paste into the single compound path.

  • the fitting of the image in the field including AutoFit options are not displayed on my options panel of the selections Tools toolbar

The fitting of the image in the field including AutoFit options are not displayed on my options panel to toolbar for the selection tools. How can I view?

You're out of space. Some toolbar has been resized/re-spaced in the last update. Click on the menu button (on the far-right in your screenshot) and select Customize... Make sure that the mounting frame (object) is selected. If this is the case, you should disable something else to make room for this group of button.

Furthermore, I see that your application window is not maximized. What happens if you expand to the maximum it?

  • When exporting my image in LR I select my brand of water in the drop-down list. Then I need to select 'Edit watermark' since the same drop-down menu in order to replace it. When I do that and click 'done' the watermark disappears in the export me

When exporting my image in LR I select my brand of water in the drop-down list. Then I need to select 'Edit watermark' since the same drop-down menu in order to replace it. When I do that and click 'done' the watermark disappears in the box menu to export. When I click on "Export" the image exports WITHOUT my watermark. Help, please. As I did about everything that has been suggested in this forum and I still have this problem.

I saw that too. For now, the workaround is that if you select 'Edit watermark,' when you are done editing be sure to reselect the same watermark. If you do not, the watermark menu will be empty.

It seems to be a known bug that occurs only in the current version. If all goes well, it can be fixed in the next update. There is a page for her on the Photoshop/Lightroom Feedback site. I've added my vote to the page:

  • How to wrap text around the anchored object (image)

I quickly started to get account that I am not the mental giant I had previously thought!

Having recently made the switch to InDesign, I fight to pick up some of the different methodologies, and more still, the different jargon.

I read the section guide from Adobe on this request, and I feel none the wiser is. I'm sorry to you guys with what is probably a very trivial question for users over three years, but let's go even of evil.

I am trying to anchor the image object in a block of text, with the image of the text wrapping. While it seems to be in my ability to insert the object and to wrap the text, I have real problems to anchor this object in the right place.

What I'm trying to look like this: -.

    Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 1.14.52 PM.png

Can anyone please help me, a simple "idjit" way how to do this?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    See you soon... Scotty

If the image is placed on the page:

Drag the symbol at the top right in a paragraph before that the first line is ignored when the text is wrapped.

I suggest to save all the settings (wrapping text, the position of an object of anchroed, etc.) in the Styles of an object as it makes it easier to do global settings later.

  • "Assignment of a top layer of the object on the master" (master page numbers) I understand the layer must be up to show above images placed on the pages, but how can I do this?

I have added page numbers to my master pages. They appear on the pages, but I have images on the individual pages which cover the numbers. I understand that I must assign a top layer of the object, but I don't understand how to do it. Please help me? Please explain a just clear as possible, I read the other replies but still do not understand. Wish it was as simple as select object, do a right-click, edit the layer!

    Thank you very much!

    1. open the layers panel (window > layers)

    2. in the control panel menu, choose new layer. In the dialog box, you can name the layer if you like Page numbers.

    3. on your main page, select the text block with the selection tool (black arrow tool) page numbers.

    4. If you now look at the layers panel, you will see a small square right of one of your layers (or 1 layer if you have not created any new layers). Drag instead of the layer of Page numbers. [Explanation: the square is a "proxy" for the selected objects.] [Drag to the other layer moves the objects on this layer.]

    Good luck!

  • How to avoid the transparent background, white in smart object (psb) conversion when the image track high fidelity that we have the ability to ignore track of white up to 16 colors.

I have an image psd file in photoshop cc 2014 the layer background transparent. I wanted to convert to vector. The best option I've seen was converted first to a smart object in photoshop by layer-> Smart objects-> convert to smart object. then he exported a CPS. Then I opened the file in illustrator and applied image tracking tool, but the background transparent got converted to white but I had the option to skip white up to 16 trace of color. But in the case of Conversion of high fidelity, the option do not know white is not available, what do I do now?

After using the Trace of the Image and expand the result, just find a part that is filled with white and use Select > same > fill and just delete.
