Objectives that cannot be saved in JPEG format in CS3

I have been provided with some TIFFs that when I try to save in Photoshop CS3, in the drop-down list, JPEG is not an option.

Someone at - it information?

The only way to save them in JPEG format is to use the command 'Save for web and devices' 100 quality.

  • Cannot be saved in JPEG format and do not understand why

I'm working today on many files, and for a reason, even if these are JPG files, when I save, the dialog box appears and wants to save it as a PSD. Anyone has an idea why it is doing this? It is wasting a TON of time because I have to change to JPG even if the file is already. I tried the option open as a JPG on any of them and it gives me the error message-"unable to complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file.

I'm in CS6 because there were too many problems with Photoshop CC.

If you use the crop tool and "Delete the cropped Pixels" is unchecked in the Options bar at the top, then it will save as a PSD. You should check this option if you want to save it in jpeg format.

  • Cannot be saved in DNG format in 14 elements

After a few global changes, I converted my camera raw file into a dng file. Now, I want to make local changes. So I clicked on open and open the file in the normal window. After that I made my changes I wanted to save the file under a .dng but it wasn't one of the options. I heard that it should be possible.

    Then how?

The ACR raw converter does not convert only the raw data to an image format, but it also takes into account your settings to adjust the color and tone of your image.

Available in Photoshop ACR version has more features features than elements for these adjustments of colors and tones. In a way, it can replace the part of the facilities provided in pixel editors editing: Photoshop or Elements. He has even "brushes" to set the tones the. But anyway, these "local" adjustments are very limited compared to what you can do with a publisher of real pixels such as Photoshop and elements.

    Hard facts:

-You can never convert any raw image formats such as jpeg, tiff, or psd format.

-DNG format is a "raw" format when it comes to the actual raw data of cameras; It records and maintains this raw information with only a standard format.

-When it is original such as JPEGs or raw data "not raw" data you have already converted and edited, DNG does not convert to 'raw' (it is impossible and absurd), it only "packs" your data to pixels in DNG format. This has benefits, but in this case, you lose part of the flexibility and power to work on the actual raw data.

In your case, you add local changes to an already converted format: you are no longer in the first case. You are in a situation where a 'normal' Editor is the default choice. Elements lets you choose the other option: 'Open as raw' gives you the advantage of using the tools that you are used, which allows you to work "parametric" in saving the settings of your sliders instead of producing a version of output to the pixel in the image format.

  • Pictures saved in JPEG format, unable to recognize

I use Photoshop CS5 on a mac. Pictures saved in format jpeg is only recognized by the photo editing software. For example, photos can not upload them to facebook, or display on a PC unless you use the paint. Please notify.

Windows systems require the file such as jpeg (.jpg) extension programs windows know type of file it is.

On previous versions of the photoshop cs series (I didn't have cs2 on mac) under management in photoshop preferences files

You can choose if you want that file extensions added when saving the files.

Also under your finder preferences, you can set up your mac to display file extensions.

If you transfer a file saved on your mac to a pc you can also add the file at the end of the name (for example, .jpg for jpeg files) extension or use of Photoshop File > open as

and choose the format of the list.

  • Create a shape that cannot be saved

    Hello

I made a form to complete with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard, and I'm hoping to use it with Acrobat Reader App. Android problem is that when I close the form on my tablet, it records everything on it, and this isn't what I want.

How can I do so that the form is empty every time I open it?

    Thanks in advance.

To add a command that runs before the file is saved, go to Tools - JavaScript - the value of the Document Actions and as Will Save event enter this code:

    this.resetForm ();

To run when the document is opened, go to Tools - JavaScript - Document JavaScripts and enter the same code there.

  • strange objects that cannot be selected

I don't know yet how to explain this problem because it's so weird and complicated. (Illustrator CS6, Windows 7)

I work with several documents to HAVE, each containing several work plans. (It is much more effective that way.) Once I have all the work plans looking for the way that they need to look at, I need to break in a single PDF page. To do this I have to save the file first as an AI and check 'save each work plan in a separate file' in to break it up. Normally I open these individual files, and then run the script 'SaveDocsasPDFs '.

Unfortunately, one of my files is bad. When I open the files only work plan HAVE, I find the illustration of others present work plans in the file. These objects are visible but do not appear in the layers palette. None of the objects have a part that spans the single artboard. They are not part of a group, a compound path, nor a simple mask. Work within the single artboard is part of a clipgroup. If I use the layers palette to mask and unmask this clipgroup, problem objects disappear and the file size becomes smaller when I re-record. This does not happen if I hide and show the layer that the clipgroup is on.

I guess this explanation is impossible to follow, so here is a link to one of the files so that you can see for yourself. https://DL.dropboxusercontent.com/u/27711153/masks-46.AI

Can someone explain to me what happens, or how can I avoid having these adjacent objects appear on this file? I don't want to open and close each single work plan file, because I have hundreds of them.

I appreciate any idea that you can give!

xtreamPath (unknown) effect seems to be applied to the layer, delete the effect and the objects with the help of it will be will be

A jpeg file is an image, Google can't translate an image.  You must register as a document.

  • I am trying to print a picture 5 x 7 that have been saved in PDF format, the print dialog box will only print it as an 8 x 10, any thoughts?

So I guess that was supposed to be the subject line!  I would like to print a picture on paper photo 5 x 7, I did it in the past, but now I don't see an option to change the size of the paper.  I would greatly appreciate any comments.  Thank you

    Hi Sunshine58,

Have you tried to click on the Page Setup button at the bottom left of the print dialog box? Who will show you the print options that provides the operating system, and you should be able to choose the page size of 5 x 7.

  • Cannot save a big TIFF 16-bit RGB Image in JPEG format

    Hi all

I use Photoshop CS5 Extended on Windows 7 64 bit (Home Premium).

I sewed a panorama in Photoshop using the fusion of 19 RAW (Canon 5 d mkII) files in 16-bit. Everything was fine, I saved the image merged under TIFF 16 and worked on it. Panoramic image resolution is approximately 33000 x 4900. Place the flattened selections and active left.

Once I was happy, I ran the Image processor on it with a watermark action and add the copyright EXIF data. There is no need to say that it cannot save in JPEG format (he performed the action correctly, just stopped to save). Normally, this works very well with other images RGB TIFF 16 I did.

I tried to save it manually, but at this time, I noticed that the "Save for web" option is grayed out and the dialog box "save under" showed no JPEG options.

    What I did:

1.) tried to open it with ACR and save it in JPEG format. It worked well

2.) tried to resize to 20000 x 3600 (more or less) and it worked fine (which means that the option to save it as a JPEG back where it)

3.) tried to convert it to full-size 8-bit and who did not

I'm not too bothered because I have the solution of ACR, but it's boring and in the past, I've done more large panoramas with CS4 and I never had this problem before.

    Any ideas?

The image is nearly 1 GB, so I'll not post...

    Thanks for your help!

The CAB code has a limit of 64 k according to the width and height of JPEG files.

The Photoshop code has a 32 KB limit, because of the old code for JPEG.

  • Hi, I am trying to save my edited images that are size 30 MB in JPEG format to send to print, but when I save they are lot to 5 MB any help is appreciated.

    Hello

I have problems trying to save my edited images are sized at 30 MB + in jpeg format to the same size that is needed for my print lab. For some reason, it resizes them to below 5MB. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

You're confused image with dimensions in pixels size.

There is no problem as long as you has not changed the dimensions/resizing the image when you saved as jpg.

Check the dimensions in pixels of the original and the jpg - they should be the same.

To put it otherwise - size of the image in megabytes are not an indicator of the size of an image (the size it will print). Dimensions in pixels are.

Have two old CD/DVD with the old movies of family 8mm on them.  When I try toopen them I get a statement that ' cannot they in format Samsung "suggestions?

that is a difficult question. Try VLC to see if it will open to them. Usually when the disc appears on the desktop, if you click on it and let go, then press the clover sheet and I (get info command), you should be able to choose which application/program can open them. I have not already heard talk of the "samsung" format, I know there is a stranger there (lie format MTS from Sony). Regarding the conversion of them, maybe MPEG streamclip or hand brake? worst case scenario, you may need to spend some money to buy a video conversion app/program

Sorry I can't help you more

  • How can I convert .ai files in jpeg format?  It seems that I am only able to get the .ai files and my Adobe Photo Elements program does not recognize the file.

How can I convert .ai files in jpeg format?  It seems that I am only able to get the .ai files and my Adobe Photo Elements program does not recognize the file.

I want to continue my membership with Adobe, however, not if it requires some additional software purchase.

For .ai files, you will need to use or know someone who uses Illustrator or another program compatible .ai to convert. If you access a page of image details before license you can see the file type.
