  I created an FLV Player to play remote. FLV movie. It works with Firefox but not with Internet Explorer 6 or 7. In fact, when I test locally on my desktop with local (on my desktop). File FLV movie player works in Internet Explorer. The problem seems to be my Web site, when reading remotely. FLV file, it only works with Firefox.

• Logitech USB Headset comfort micro works with XP, but not with Windows 7

  Hello.  I recently got a new computer with Windows 7.  I also have one with XP Pro.  My Logitech Comfort USB headset works great with my XP computer, but the microphone on my headset does not work with my computer of W7.  The headphones work fine, I can hear loud and clear.  There is no problems appearing in Device Manager.  Windows installed all the drivers when I plugged it in, it recognizes my helmet and said that it works correctly.  I ran the function of problem solving and it's supposed to be working very well.  Plug into my XP computer and it works fine.

  I tried several 'solutions' Troubleshooting over the few days without result, including the verification of all the sound levels (all 100%), ensuring that drivers is common (they are), to tweak the settings sound in various ways, (possibly reset to defaults), making sure Windows is up to date, blah blah blah.  The Compatibility Center Windows says that my helmet is compatible with W7.

  I looked everywhere and, with the exception of when someone has their Mute microphone or set low volumes, there doesn't seem to be a response to this problem, but there are a lot of people who have this and not only with Logitech headsets.

  Logitech forums say that it is a Microsoft problem, W7 has a compatibility problem.  I don't know what else to do to get my microphone to work.

  I would really appreciate any suggestions beyond the ones I've tried.   Thanks in advance.

  Hi Moki-mo,

  The headphones came with the installation software? If so, install the software on the Windows 7 computer. If this does not resolve the problem, visit the Windows 7 Compatibility Center to make sure that the headset is compatible with Windows 7.

  Hello. You can test your speakers by running test audio fast ePSA or PSA tests.

  You can test the audio driver by opting for the native Windows audio driver. If you get the same symptoms with the native driver, then you can exclude a bug in the driver from Realtek. This Realtek driver has been around for awhile now and has no bugs that I know.

  • 1. open Device Manager (found in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
  • 2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
  • 3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
  • 4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
  • 5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
  • 6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
  • 7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
  • 8. click on "next".
  • 9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
  • 10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
  • [To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse steps 2-7 names].

  I've been coding of this site on my Mac and it works with Firefox, Safari and Chrome.  I pulled to the top of the old Windows machine and it does not work with Safari, Firefox or IE10.  He simply ignores requests from the media completely.  It must be something really simple, but I am confused.  Help!  Gary

• VOD works with HTTP but not RTMP

  I have a few FLV videos that I can't work with RTMP streaming using VOD app and player of strobe.  Locally, they play fine in VLC media player.  It will also play properly in the flash drive so accessible with an HTTP request.  When I try to listen to using the RTMP protocol, reading seems to be normal and I can get to anywhere in the video.  However, playback will stop randomly at different points in the middle of the video.  If the player to debug, I see that NetStreamTimeTrait becomes NetStreamCodes.NETSTREAM_PLAY_COMPLETE.

  Can someone tell me how can I solve the FLV file, or what steps I can take to understand why playback will stop at the beginning?

  These videos were captured using the Wowza DVR app, and I used a HDS capture utility to recompose the video in a FLV.  The resulting FLV file was missing the duration metadata, so I used "yamdi" to inject the missing metadata.  I also tried "flvfix" utility without effect.

  Extension .mp4 as renaming does not work... You will have a tool to convert your FLV to mp4 videos.

  The AirPort Express sends the same WiFi signal to all devices.  If computers have connection problems, it's a number PC... not an AirPort Express station.  I don't think there's a lot of guys here on an Apple forum PC... but it is possible that we could see your message and comment.

  In the meantime, you might want to try to restart the AirPort Express, restart the PC and overlooking this support document

  Seems like the toolbar Epson E - Web Print stopped working after the update for Firefox 27. Switched to Internet Explorer and the toolbar works very well.

  Well, when they say they can't, they mean that they do not meet up-to-date with changes to the browser. I do not know changes for Firefox causing the extension no longer works. Maybe other users Epson who encounter the same problem will come up with a solution?

• EPrint to CP 1525 works with Ipad, but not iPhone

  I have installed on my CP 1525 eprint and it works fine on my WIFI network with my Ipad on direct printing from any application.  On my Iphone, I can send an email to the printer to print, but I can't print directly from an application.  It shows that the printer is available and gives me an indication he was sent and printed correctly, but the work not me never "to the printer.

  I assume you're talking about Airprint where you can print directly from applications apple Safari right? If this is the case, then it should work for each unit. Make sure that your iPhone is a 3GS or 4, and his version of the iOS is at least 4.2. If this is the case, then try to restart your iPhone. Hold the lock button until you see a red to power off slider, wait 10 seconds, and then press and hold the lock button until you see the apple icon on the phone.

• 1 TB external hard drive works on XP but not Windows 7

  1 TB Toshiba external hard drive.

  It works on my laptop that runs Windows XP bot not on the laptop that is running Windows 7, if the hard disk works. It also works on Vista.

  My Seagate (320 GB) hard drive works on the Windows 7 laptop - so the USB ports are not defective.

  When I plug the hard 1 TB drive that it appears not on the Manager list of devices, or the title of the disk management, still green light from the disk hard flashes and lights up like it normally does when plugged into the laptop XP.

  I have read all the forums and tried the following: edited the Registery values for mass storage devices USB (deleted and lower filters);  Edited the "Usbstor" INF file as suggested check, the Toshiba site for any compatibility issues, and they have suggested that it is a problem of windows 7, given that the player works on other platforms.

  Because the disc is not visible in device etc Manager I can't try the other options.

  Any input would be appreciated

  I found the problem to be with the controller Toshiba uses on their external hard drives.

  I removed the hard drive Toshiba of the carcass, put it in an envelope of SeaGate (thus using a SeaGate controller) and it worked fine.

  To my knowledge there is no software around HD Ext Toshiba and W7 work. Take the HD out of the envelope, buy a cheap eSATA to USB connector & problem solved.

  SCP allows you to preview the files in a zip file, but the links within these files do not work until all files have been extracted.

  You will need to drag the files of "Temp1 Sinai (1) .zip" and your desktop to extract from archive. Links should work fine after that.

  I followed all the instructions and when I use Jinitiator 1.3.1.28 as the JRE client, then this market. However, when I use Sun JRE 1.5 (1.5.0.19) or Sun 1.6 (1.6.0.14) it does not work and I see the following errors in the java console:

  These webutil errors mean that the .dll file is not found in the JRE/bin directory... you have to force webutil to re - load the .dll file into this folder by deleting the webutil.properties file, and then try to run after it again and it should work.

  This properties file are located in either the user/home directory or in the home folder of the JRE.

  i.e.
  C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_15\webutil.properties

  This file will contain the .dll files that are downloaded to the client... such as configured in the webutil.cfg file.
