ODI 11 g Standalone Agent error

Hi all

ODI11g installed on a windows machine (have not installed the standalone agent). ODI directory is c:\ODI11ghome

Came later and create an autonomous agent TEST_AGENT (used different directory c:\odistandaloneagent).

I see the Agent in the physical and logical topology but impossible to start.
When I tried to start it by using the batch file agent_TEST_AGENT.bat under

c:\odistandaloneagent\oracledi\agent\bin

It returns the following error

OracleDI: Starting Agent...
Could not bind _logforceprintv
Osal.dll did not.

He osal.dll file is located under the c:\odistandaloneagent\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_17\jre\bin directory.

Is something wrong with odiparamas.bat file?

Jack.
startscen.bat [] [-AGENT_URL=] ["-NAME="] ["-SESSION_NAME="] ["-KEYWORDS="] ["="]

AGENT_URL is used to access the remote agent and so please use the correct url of the location of the agent

I think that this agent you are using is an agent of ODI server so it must be something like this

 startscen.bat SALES 001 ODIDEV -NAME=DEV_AGENT

Also, make sure that you have the updated odiparams.bat file.

Thanks for the return of coupling.

    In total, due to negligence.

It was necessary to create the new connection simply.

This option in case of which the agent has not been started is higher.

In this option, the agent was launched and works perfectly.

For those who will have to face a similar problem - look at a stage in the creation of a repository.

    Hello

It can cause the configuration correct not only in the file odiparams.sh

Cause: Bad specification for the URL to connect to the repository.

    Solution:

Set the hostname of the URL of repository of work (in this case WORKREP1) to the correct value.

This value is found in the repository of work > JDBC tab in the JDBC URL field.

A better you give ipaddress instead of give the host name in the topology > agent configuration

    Hope this can help you

    Kind regards

  • Converter Standalone Agent installation failed, error code: 1601

    Hi all

I downloaded the VMware converter tryware version, to see if we can use this tool to create virtual machines from existing industrial PC.

We intend to make a test remote backup to a XP to a laptop machine (to keep mobile in an industrial environment)

I installed you VMware converter and disabled the firewall on both machines.

I also disabled the network drives that are shared on the remote computer.

When data powered the remote computer has been entered (ip address, username, PW, BONE family) and press us Next, the pop-up appears to deploy the Agent of Standalone converter.

If you press 'Yes' to continue, after a minute or two the following message appears:

-Converter Standalone Agent installation failed, error code: 1601 -.

Can someone tell me what this error code means and how I can fix this error?

Any help will be appreciated cincerely!

Can someone tell me what this error code means and how I can fix this error?

Windows Installer error 1601 = The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. Contact your support team to verify that the Windows Installer service is properly registered.

Additionally, make sure that the appropriate ports are open to allow the Windows agent to settle.

Alternatively, you can manually install the converter on the remote system agent... and then try to restart the conversion (then there is no need to install anything).

    Hi 2815196,

What stage exactly failed? 'Task 4 specifying the Type of data source Configuration' or '5.4 begins the Node Manager and autonomous Agent'?

In the first case, have you tried to connect using the schema _STB? It does not work?

If this does not work you can always do a manual configuration and put your repository information.

    Best regards

  • Question about installing standalone Agent in patched environment

    Hi all

I have a question about the installation of an autonomous Agent of ODI, some information on the situation: I have Studio ODI 11.1.1.7.0 installed and configured. Everything worked fine until we have improved our environment from planning to 11.1.2.3.500 patch.  We had to apply the patch 18687916 for ODI solve some problems, but everything worked well again after that.  Now I need to install an autonomous agent to run scenarios in a batch, the agent will be on the same server as the ODI studio.  My question is can I run the installer and only select the autonomous agent then reapply the patch 18687916 or do I need to get out the patch 18687916 first, or something totally different?

    Hello

I think you should restore the 18687916 patch and then install the standalone agent, then patch 18687916 it.

But wait answer of the guru.

In my case, I did the thing above, and it works very well if it was my test environment.

    Thank you

    Pratik

When I try to run the converter that we receive the following error message, FAILED: cannot access the remote Converter Standalone Agent service. It does not exist or is not responding.

Given that the conversion works, you can have a software or configuration of Windows Server. Check the Windows event logs. Anything in current policies that could prevent?

  • Apache httpd cannot add configuration properties 'Agent error. "

    Hello

I changed the conf file and when I try the link http://localhost: port/server-status I am able to view the status of the server.

However by adding in hypric HQ - configuration properties, I get the error message "the Agent error: could not open Windows Service: Apache2.

I had the similar problem because my windows service named apache2. 2 instead of Apache2. Please go to Panel--> Services and check your windows for Apache service name.

  • ODI Plugin with autonomous agent

    Hello

Anyone know if it is possible to get the Plugin ODI with an autonomous agent rather than an agent JEE?

    Thank you
    J marks

    You are most welcome ;)

Here is a document from Oracle that specifies this point (requirement 3.2): http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/odi/odi_11g/odi_em_integration/odi_em_integration.htm#s6

  • ODI Agent errors

    Hi all

My ODI server is Linux. I have the weblogic and Manager has started, and then agent.sh began has had the following errors when starting agent.sh.

ODI-1436 error recovery statistics ID for reference work WORKREP.
Error occurred during computation of referential work schedules [WORKREP]. Error message: ODI-10150 - repository task ID1 is not related to the master.

Please let me know what I should do to fix this problem.

Thanks for your time and your help.

for agent independent, even pointless to start weblogic (including the managed server) who hold a j2ee agent.
    before D'executer./agent.sh-name - PORT
You must configure odiparams.sh, in addition to the information of the master repository, for example: ODI_MASTER_DRIVER.
    There is a
ODI_SECU_WORK_REP = (if you please use studio to get working directory name)

  • ODI Agent error

    Hi all
I managed (I think) put in place a master repository and work on an installation of 11g ODI on SQL Server 2008 (Windows Server 2008 operating system). Now, I'm trying to install the agent. I modified the file odiparams.bat with the master repository information and JDBC and URL parameters. When the agent starts, I get an error - message

"SEVERUS: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver." Using the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0... »

How to work around this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated
    TIA

    MN

"SEVERUS: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver." Using the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0... »

As suggested by the error message, you will need to use the SQL SERVER JDBC DRIVER 2.0 OR JDBC 3.0 DRIVER, because sqljdbc is not compatible with JDK 1.6 and copy the driver of SQLJDBC4 in the Agent/drivers folder.

  • ODI OS command - execution by Agent error

    Dear all,

We created a lot sample.bat file that refers to another file .cmd available on another server, and the content is

    ------< ipaddress > \d$\... \ScheduleBatch.cmd < location of the XML "Parameter1" > < parameter2-ReportingServerIP >

We discussed this batch file in a set of command of the OS by using the syntax
    cmd /c sample.bat

When we run this using Local < NoAgent > it runs perfectly well - sample.bat calls .cmd and runs reports.
When we run the same using ODI Dev Agent - it throws an error saying - * "return code of bad process."

Any kind of entries would be really useful and appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
    Concerning
    Srikanth

    Hi Srikanth,

    Where is installed the Agnet?
Go to the server where the Agent is installed,
and launch the batch file or commands from the prompt of the server controls,.
Maybe the other server, you have access to is not accessible from the server that the agent is installed.
If the batch file, goes off correctly at the command prompt, it hsould work through the agent.

Also, check for the agent windows service...
for login information, the shuild server to be accessed through the connection that you entered for the agent

  • Test ODI Agent error

I'm going to have bad configure ODI. I followed John's excellent blog. so far, I have created the main repository. In the topology Manager, I created the connection, the dataserver, the working repository, the agent and context.

When I try to test agent, I get the following error:

    -start the msg of error-

    "" C:\OraHome_1\oracledi\bin > AgentScheduler '-port = 20300 ' "-name = odi_demo_agent.

    -error - end

    Obviously something is wrong.
I'm unclear as to the entry for ODI_SECU_WORK_REP in ODIPARMS. Is the name of root that has been implemented in the repository, work in the repository name or the real name of sqlserver database for the repository to work?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

Here is an example of an odiaparams.bat

    Set ODI_SECU_DRIVER = com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    Set ODI_SECU_URL = jdbc:sqlserver://odimachine:1433; SelectMethod = cursor; databaseName = odi_master; integratedSecurity = false
    Set ODI_SECU_USER = hypdb
    Set ODI_SECU_ENCODED_PASS = cByXKqrOj5h8XMUV, 3OnOny
    Set ODI_SECU_WORK_REP = WORK_REPOS
    Set ODI_USER = SUPERVISOR
    Set ODI_ENCODED_PASS = LELKIELGLJMDLKMGHEHJDBGBGFDGGH

The ODI_SECU_WORK_REPOS relates on behalf of your working directory
ODI_SECU_ENCODED_PASS requires a password coded using the agent to encode the password
ODI_USER & ODI_ENCODED_PASS can be kept as default

Also, make sure that you have created the agent in the topology manager before you start the agent.

    See you soon
