  • ODI - read CSV file and write to the Oracle table

    Hello world

After 4 years, I started to work again with ODI, and I'm completely lost.

I need help, I don't know what to use for each step, interfaces, variables, procedures...

What I have to do is the following:

    (1) reading a CSV file-> I have the topologies and the model defined

    (2) assess whether there is a field of this CSV file in TABLE A-> who do not exist in the table is ignored (I tried with an interface joining the csv with the TABLE model a model and recording the result in a temporary data store)

Evaluate 3) I need to update TABLE C and if not I need to INSERT if another field that CSV exists in TABLE B-> if there

Could someone help me with what use?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi how are you?

    You must:

Create an interface with the CSV template in the source and a RDBM table in the target (I'll assume you are using Oracle). Any type of filter or the transformation must be defined to be run in the stadium. (you must use a LKM for SQL file and add an IKM Sql control (it is best to trim them and insert the data when it cames to a file if you want after this process, you may have an incremental update to maintain history or something like that).)

For validation, you will use a reference constraints in the model of the oracle table: (for this you need a CKM Oracle to check constraints)

Then, you must select the table that you sponsor and in the column, you choose which column you will match.

To article 3, you repeat the above process.

And that's all. Pretty easy. If you do not have the two tables that you need to use your validation that you need to load before loading the CSV file you need valid.

    Hope this can help you

  • ODI - products .txt or .csv file output

    Hi guru,.

I'm new on ODI and have hit a problem with that I hope someone could help me!

I have a chart / MS SQL data store (2005), I would use ODI to produce a .txt or .csv file output. I have looked at the documentation, but I couldn't find an obvious way to do it - can someone please advise how this can be done?

    Thank you very much
    Joe

    Hey Joe,

Here is a link to a 'for example Oracle' explaining how to load a flat file:
    http://www.Oracle.com/WebFolder/technetwork/tutorials/OBE/FMW/ODI/odi_11g/odi_project_ff-to-FF/odi_project_flatfile-to-flatfile.htm

You just need to change the LKM to choose one for MS SQL.

  • Delete the name of the column in the CSV file generated by ODI

    Hello

I want to remove the column names in the CSV file that I create the database.
I tried to put "towards zero in the data store ', that I created for the csv file, but it does not work.

    Please help.

    Thank you
    Sudeep Nathalie

    Sudeep salvation,

Ok.. If you don't want the column to be generated and then in your IKM (IKM SQL to THE grit file) choose the option GENERATE_HEADER to 'no '.

Then run the interface. The target csv file will not now column header.

    Thank you

  • Unable to display data from a csv file data store

    Hi all

I'm using ODI 11 g. I'm trying to import metadata from a csv file. To do this, I have created physical and logical diagrams corresponding. Context is global.

Then, I created a model and a data store. Now, after reverse engineering data store, I got the file headers and I changed the data type of columns to my requirement and then tried to view the data in the data store. I am not getting any error, but can't see all the data. I am able to see only the headers.

Even when I run the interface that loads data into a table, its operation without error, but no data entered...

But the data is present in the source file...

Can you please help me how to solve this problem...

    Hi Phanikanth,

    Thanks for your reply...

I did the same thing that you suggested...

In fact, I'm working on the ODI in UNIX environment. So I went for the record separator on UNIX option in the files of the data store tab and now its works well...

in any case, once again thank you for your response...

    Thank you best regards &,.

  • Name of dynamic resource for Excel/csv files

    Hi all

Playback of a source (as well as csv) excel file, I tried passing the name of the resource via a variable that is defined to contain the name of the file (update). However, the performance, the file name with a character '-' extra without be specified in the interface variable text to deal with the load step.

    The error that says:

ODI-1227: SrcSet0 (load) task fails on the source of the FILE connection < ConnNameHere >.

    Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ODI-40438: file not found: C:\DirectoryNameHere\ /OTD.

This is expected behavior where one needs to escape special characters?

I checked that the extra / is not present in the value of the variable or the directory for the physical schema.

    TIA.

    Hello

In my view, ODI generates the character ' / ' by default and I don't think we have any special treatment to escape this character.

Based on the error message, it looks like you gave "C:\DirectoryNameHere\" in the directory in the physical schema. Lets say "SourceFiles" is your name of directory where all you produce will land and you want ODI to choose that path there, then directory will be "C:\DirectoryNameHere".  When you run the task, ODI generates path like this: "C:\DirectoryNameHere/OTD.csv."

    Kind regards

  • Retrieve Oracle database data and store it in a CSV file format

    Hello.

I try to export a table in an Oracle database to CSV file with any Oracle adapter format and store it in a system of HDFS.

    How could I do?

    Thanks in advance!

    Xavi says:
HI Charles. If I could use... Oracle Data Integrator Application adapted for Hadoop? For this purpose?

    Thanks in advance

Perhaps. I must admit I'm not familiar enough with ODI to see if this is the extent of its means.

You might see if there is a forum for ODI and ask your question to that.

  • Use OdiOutFile to create the csv file

    Hello
I am trying to write a csv file by using the file ODIOutFile. The is created with success, but all EI tags column coming in one line.
I need to write different columns given different columns in csv. Kindly guide me which character I include as up to meet my requirement.

    Thank you
    Ritika

Ritika, as mentioned in the email, this error occurs because you did not mention something in the command on the source, in the jython code, we allocate the technology and the schema required so that we must manually provide all the required parameters and ODI can pick up from the root.

Also once you mentioned are, of course, call you this code after you odisqlunload else you don't have the header, since odisqlunload erases the file and write. Hope that this help please let me know if you have still problems with the program and also showed me a sample of the program odisqunload and header as well as the results, only a few responses back.

    Thank you

  • CSV file will not work in Excel after update of the Sierra

Excel is not able to properly open CSV files more. I have two MacMinis to work with the same version of Excel/Office, but one with macOS Sierra displays all the data in the first column.

Must be a problem that macOS as Sierra mess up to the deliminter. Very annoying.

Barebones Textwrangler can force CSVs to use a standard delimiter that Office can understand.  Try to open your CSV with that and save it as MS-DOS text file.

  • Export the library of books as a .csv file?

I'm trying to compare my Calibre library with my library of books in iTunes 11.4. Caliber exports data .csv file, but I don't see how the same (or even a file of Excel data or numbers) to the ca. 950 books in my library of books to iTunes. I managed to 'print' a PDF (28 pages) of it, however.

Is it possible to get a data file of the compatible spreadsheet of my books on iTunes?

I never did anything with iBooks, but with iTunes you can actually highlight a series of lines, copy, and paste.

  • Numbers does not correctly Import CSV files

Using numbers v 3.6.2 under OS X El Capitan v 10.11.6 CSV files are not imported correctly. A file with 8 columns appears in number with the first two columns containing data of 7 columns and the second containing the remaining column data. This does not happen with numbers v 2.1 I have on another Mac OS x 10.6.8

Well, I know one answer would be to always download on the Mac of the latter, but I'm trying to stop using it, once all the data I need is available on the other, later, Mac.

If Apple could provide a program that does work properly, why on Earth can't a version later do the same thing, it is a fundamental requirement and I don't want to play anywhere to try to sort out just that it works as it should.

might be useful to provide an example of the file, or, perhaps to share data... Nobody here can change the numbers, we are all of the users like you.  The only options that we are thus solutions using what is already there, or work around issues by other means.

You can still provide feedback to post using the menu item "numbers > provide Feedback numbers.

  • Extension of merger and mailing 4.1.0 says «no recipients specified...» "has {{Email}} in the line using a CSV file

I {{Email}} in the TO: field of the email - and go through file-Mail Merge and have the CSV file in the dialog box. When I click on OK - I get the message 'no recipients were determined... ". »

Wile, we do not support the add-on here.
    As a convenience.
Most of the problems of this nature with the add-on will focus on how the email header is defined in the CSV file. Make sure it is defined as the domain name, you think it is and that it is surrounded by double quotes. Also make sure that none of your "data" contains quotes like send the CSV into a spin, introducing this amount on a Cape randomly in the middle of data.

Failure to comply with this e-mail from the author of the add-on. His email address is on the page of download add-on.

  • I need to export the address book in unicode csv files. When?

My address book contains Chinese and Korean names. Their special characters get lost when I export the address book to a CSV files to import them from Open Office.

It is true that Chinese and Korean characters are not maintained when you use the export into csv format, but I tried an example with the option provided by MoreFunctionsForAddressBook and it seems to work fine.

Select an address book in the address book, then make a right click, MFFAB/Export/as csv (.csv).

    no photos.

Open your CSV is a spreadsheet and make sure that it is really a CSV file. Sounds to me like the first line doesn't have a domain names at this topic. or they are not set properly.
