• URGENT DSC: I can write to the shared variable but can NOT read?

  I use DSC to communicate with an automaton of DVP28SV DELTA. I managed to write to a coil to turn on a fan, and I have also written in a register.

  However, when I tried to read the spool (spool the same I just turned on) or when I tried to read a record that I'm very sure that has values registry where I configure the parameters of modbus, it would return to ZERO, even when I tried to read the registry I just write in the answer was zero (I do not know the entry in the registry was successful because I did the specific value that) I wrote to the registry a condition to turn on a light).

  So, anyone know why this might be happening? the registers are read/write. I thought it might be time to scanning in the controller is too short, so I added delays, but everything I read always gives zero return. ideas? can someone help me with this?

  In fact I solved this in time ^^ in the case where someone faced the same question and get zeros in the response, which has worked for me exchange of programming (by clicking with the right button on the shared in my VI variable).  Why it works? no idea. but variables starting to give me the correct values.

• Equation with dynamic variable

  Is it possible to use an equation with 2 or more variables, and to make one of these variables as output without changing the equation?

  As usual, by inserting the values of x and P, then the value of R will receive a response.

  But if only the value of R and x can be inserted, how the value of P to decide without changing the equation.

  The equation is used multiple times in the same VI. One to generate a part of a graph (Mollier diagram) and the other must be used to find the value of the point of intersection.

  You simply set the two formulas:

  R (x, P)

  P (x, R)

  and select the one according to the inputs and outcomes.

  N R should be reserved for cases where there is no analytical solution.

• How to write to an existing file, but replace the data just to the last row

  In my data acquisition system, the columns represent the channels and each represent line analysis of the data for all channels. It is easy to get the file write by add or replace a file exist. But sometimes I want to just overwriting new data in the last line in a file exist. for example: I have DAQ with 10 channels and scan all channels for three times in each race. So my data file will be 10 columns and 3 rows of each run if I put the file "append". next time I want to record the data by "crash" (so a single row of 3 scans) in the same file but just crash to 11th place (so I'm going to keep all the data I had previously).   Why do you need to read the entire file?

  You can:

  -get the size of file with 'Get file size' or 'file info '.

  -set the position of reading with "Set file position.

  You should subtract the file size 1024, define what the position of the file read 1024 bytes. Now analyze this 1 KB of data, find the last line, set the file again, write to the file. No need to read the entire file.

  And as previously stated:

  How Labview should know the last line in the file without looking for him? You can do this research better than a simple brute force attack

  is scorePanel.score your textfield?  If so, your trace() runs after you assign text to scorePanel.score?  If so, incorporate your policy, make sure the color of the font is different from the background color of textfield and make sure your textfield has enough width/height of this text view.

  If you call twice createImageData, for imageNumber = 1 and imageNumber = 2, there will be only 2 persistent objects to the Bitmap in memory, and they will be made by the loadedImages table. The imageData variable is just the first to receive the pointer to the allocated memory and past him on the elements of the array until it's life is over. Only when you delete the table, you will release the objects for the GC.

  I know that it's a simple task, but it's the end of the day and I seem to have a brain failure... What is the syntax to achieve this? Do I have to import the video player component? These widths/heights/URLs are all generated dynamically by a XML... should I be pulling the XML or reuse just variables already existing in the Video Player component?
