  (1) actually clone means ask a DBA to clone the entire schema, which means that all the tables and the data inside. For example, let's say the name of the schema that you use for the ODI repository is ODI_MASTERREP, if you ask the DBA to be cloned, he can create another scheme called ODI_MASTERREP_BKP in the database with all the data and the objects of the ODI_MASTERREP schema. • ODI Installation questions _ 11.1.1.7

  While installing ODI Version 11.1.1.7 version of Windows Server 2012, has a few problems:

  (1) Got op - ups such as below; However, I took over ignoring and installation completed successfully.

  Don't know what these files are intended to be? I downloaded the Version of delivery but do not know why they are absent; Are really required for a complete Installation ODI?

  The question, I got here is that the ODI Agent does not work and more I didn't know the FOLDER Structure of the AGENT under the Oracledi folder. I also found OraclParams.bat file.

  Can you advise why this is different from the ODI 11.1.1.5 version please?

  (3) also, when I test the ODI_Agent; getitng the below error:

• ODI timestamp question

  We have a source Date column data type (Oracle 10 g).
  When we used the select date table - the output looks like 17-SEPT-10 08:02:32 '
  
  In the target, the data type of date column is also Date (Oracle 10 g)...
  It's a match one-to-one... after the execution of the interface, if we check the column date 17-SEPT-10 12:00 ', for all records, we get the same format.
  
  
  What could be the problem... the timestamp is not identical to the source, instead we get 12:00 even timestamp for all records...

  I don't know about you but,
  It there a while we saw a problem with our dates between source and target DB (two 10g).
  When the source, there was HH24:MI:SS filled out correctly, in the target, there was always 00:00:00.
  It produces only when we were loading the data from one server to the other (never when the source and target are on the same server).

  It really looks like your question...

  After some research it seems comes from our JDBC (Thin one) driver...

  To fix this, I add a property in topology whenever I use this JDBC url.
  For each database server I add the following property on the Properties tab:
  Key = oracle.jdbc.V8Compatible
  Value = true

  Maybe you can try with this...

• ODI data loading error checking logic

  Hi, I do not know if it's related to ODI or questioned our command script. We found that loading data ODI errors checking is one record of the other so that as soon as we will have an error in loading batch data (for example, a member is missing), the whole lot turns very slowly due to the error checking process.

  Let me clarify, you must run the rule metadata ERPi in but you don't need to load the metadata for the application of the EMP. I think that much confusion exists around this point.

  I have 2 variables var1 and var2 and you want to assign the value of var1 and var2. Assuming that var1 has a value of 11

  I want in the end

  However do this changes

  • put your variable to the most RECENT VALUE
  • Rename them in capital LETTERS
  • Equip your package the following steps
    1. declare VAR1
    2. say VAR2
    3. Refresh VAR1
    4. Assign VAR2 with this #PROJECT value. VAR1

• Demo ODI - question repository work environment

  I am a newbie at ODI and downloaded the software and demonstration environment (more instructions). The Installer seems to be okay, but when I get to the point where I should connect to the demo environment, I follow the instructions, but can't type in WORKREP as a repository of work - the field is grayed, and I can't go any further.
  
  I started the demo environment using startdemo.bat, and everything seems OK (or at least no error) apart from that.
  
  Am I right to say that the UCR does not need to be run, just to use the demo environment?
  
  Please can someone help? I would like to evaluate the product, but have to face the wall.

  Hi Ian,

  I checked the short video you sent me on my personal email. The error you receive is because of the incorrect password ODI.

  I think the ODI password should be CHARGE and not SUNOPSYS as stated in my original post.

  Please try with SUNOPSIS, password demo environment default ODI SUNOPSIS value, unless you explicitly changed it to SUNOPSYS.

  Come to your 2nd question, I don't think that any demo Virtual Box VM to ODI will be publicly available.

• Question of length of array in ODI

  I have a problem during execution of an ODI 11 g interface.
  
  There is a stage in my interface where it creates a unique index.
  Generally speaking, it takes the name of the table and prefixes with ' I$ _ ' and suffix with "_x".
  Example of my index finger is *' I$ _Tablename_x'* if the name of the table is 30 charcaters, then the name of the index will be 35 characters that are not allowed in oracle. That's why giving an error in the interface.
  So I Went to topolgoy-> physical architecture--> oracle--> other and changed my name and the column name length of the table at 25.
  
  However when I run the interface again the name of the table is stripped to 25 characters therefore giving an error "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" that makes sense.
  
  Please, help me to overcome this problem.

  Thanks for your reply.
  I contacted the support of Oracle and they say it's a bug in 11g, please check below note for Oracle:

  Earlier on 10g we were not names of objects to be truncated if it exceeds
  Backed by its respective technology, in a MAX_TAB_NAME_LENGTH
  conditions.

  But on 11g and same conditions we're truncating object name when it exceeds
  Length MAX.

  This is due to:
  On 11g, the generation of object name is managed in three categories-
  (SnpLSchema-> getObjectName)
  1 OBJECT_NAME_LENGTH_CHECK_OLD = 0;
  2 OBJECT_NAME_LENGTH_CHECK_EXCEPTION = 1;
  3 OBJECT_NAME_LENGTH_CHECK_TRUNCATE = 2;
  .
  By default, for the getObjectName of the API, we are dealing with in the #3 category that
  would cause problems for users of 10 g, the upgrade to 11 g if ObjectName here
  exceeds the MAXIMUM length.

  1. Select topology-> tab physical Architecture.
  2. for connections of 10 g, select a dataserver and double-click it to open its Edit
  window.
  3 select Properties tab and enter the parameter 'OBJECT_NAME_LENGTH_CHECK_OLD' as
  key and 'true' as value and record the DataServer.
  4. perform the procedure using this connection and the generation of code should
  be similar to 10g.

  The solution does not work for me, I'm still working with oracle to get it repaired.

  But if you upgrade 10g and 11g and if you use these table names to create temporary objects greater than 30 characters, then, there is a high probability you will get questions even if you set the "maximum length of array" less than 30 characters.

  I'll keep you posted as soon as I get the complete solution from oracle.

  I am new to ODI Tech I need your help to solve the following problem:
  
  My source a - 6 rows of data
  My goal is - no line.
  
  source and target texts are oracle, and I used Lkm: sql for oracle and IKM: added incremental update of oracle and sql command
  but it was still impossible to load the data.
  
  In the window of the operator, I was able to show that the data has been loaded. -in step 3.
  But to step 6 - integration - insert new lines indicating the error.
  
  Error return code: 4098
  Message: ora-04098: trigger is invalid and has no revalidation.
  
  Similarly, when I tried to enter the data into the database target manually by writing queries using Toad. He showed the same error for me.
  
  The question is with ODI or Oracle database?

  Based on my system, I've created about 50 scenarios and 6 ODI agent. Each of the agent of the ODI is treated approximately 8 scenarios. It comes to my setup for the ODI agent: -.
  
  ODI_INIT_HEAP = 32 m
  ODI_MAX_HEAP = 256 m
  
  Based on my configuration, each agent ODI is then defined as 256 M.
  
  My question is that one better if I use 1/2 agent basically MAX_HEAP or used 6 agent with the above configuration.

  Go to the topology.
  Physical architecture open / Agents.
  Open your agent by double-clicking.
  At the bottom left of the window, you will see the Maximum number of sessions. Set this value to 25 (or whatever the number)

  When you submit more runs than that number already parallel execution, then ODI will be automatically queued for execution place in the order of presentation.

  Press on apply. Restart your agent in the operating system. (ODI reads only the settings and schedules at startup. Appendices can be updated at other times perform the "Update calendar" button in the definition of the topology, or when the ODIUpdateAgentSchedule tool is used.)

  I use ODI 10.1.3.6.10 and get the error message below when a package is run. This package is used to load it please could you help me solve this problem.

  According to the statement select in the error message above it seems that the filter for the PERIOD and YEAR settings are not correctly and this causes the SQL statement syntax error.

  How is the critria to filter for these fields is the value? that is pre-programmed, through variables etc.

  After that we retro-design of the tables in the data of our model viewer, we have no data at all.
