Yes, you are right

  • Best battery OEM for MBP 13 beginning 2011

    Hello everyone from Apple!

I ask your opinion about the replacement of the battery for my MBP 13 early 2011 (MC700).

In my view, there are a lot of OEM batteries on amazon / ebay.

What is the best for a good price (less then $ 40)?

    Thanks in advance.

None in your price range.  Based on the collective experience of participants veterans of ASC, NuPower batteries from OWC and Anker brand are the only ones I recommend currently.  If you search these forums, you will find that many "bargain" battery produced a low yield and the many stories of misfortune.  In the long term, their cost is often more than a quality battery.

    Ciao.

  • Can I pay Apple to replace OEM screen?

    Hello

I have an iPhone 6.  The screen cracked after that I dropped it.  I had replaced him with a local OEM with a cheapo screen (which frankly was stupid as you would expect).

This new OEM screen is now broken (children huh?).  Phone was otherwise perfectly functional.

Can I take the iPhone to the Apple store and pay just to stick a new Apple screen to this topic?  Prices in the United Kingdom are £86,44 according to iPhone screen damage - official Apple Support.

Are they care that I got a replacement of the OEM screen, or will they just take my money and put a screen of 'good' about it?

    Thank you.

    D

You will have to ask Apple about it. It is a user support forum.  However, I would add that in the past, Apple refuses to service on any unit which has been altered or offered by any unauthorized service provider.  Work on the device have someone but Apple or their authorized service providers generally cancels any additional warranty or out of warranty support.

  • Bootcamp not OEM

The Apple Web site described with details, how to install Windows using Boot Camp.

But it is not said that this is impossible with an OEM version.

    I got the following results:

A Facebook group on the theme "users Apple help Apple users" told me 'you are joke' and banned me.

Apple told me by phone, Windows in OEM (which I bought separately), does not work.

When I told my disadvantages, to buy Windows again or a PC, they could not offer me, to send money to my appstore account.

    Here now my warning.

Bootcamp can not handle OEM or versions test.

[Sarcasm] Great, my Apple becomes more expensive. I love to spend money.  [/ sarcasm]

Envy, using a taxi and the driver takes a longer, need to get more money and wasting my time and money.

I am trying to install Boot Camp. I went to the Apple website and it showed that Windows must be an ISO file. Years, I installed Boot Camp to a Mac, and I used the soft wear OEM. Unfortunately, you do not see. Don't blame Apple

How can I activate my windows again?

    Hello

Sorry to hear that Atrium... obviously service agents forgot to update the Windows key after the replacement of the motherboard.
As far as I know the key OEM activation process must be done before performing the recovery process...

  • Re: Satellite M70-168: new HD and OEM license

    Hello

My Satellite is out of warranty...
Original HD (80 gb) broke, and it is impossible to find the same HD.
    I'll replace it with a HGST Travelstar 5 K 750 HTS547575A9E384 - HD - 750 GB - SATA-300.

    1. I think that 2 Sata (sata 300) is compatible, but work to only at speed of sata 1 (sata 150). Is this a problem?
    2. restore the operating system on the hard drive with the DVD created in the first inning, license is OEM allow this work, or block the restoration?

Sorry for my bad language... Frenchie Frenchie's

    Thank you very much.

Satellite M70 is old but good laptop and with the new drive HARD and clean OS preinstalled, it should work well. I had it a long time ago and if I m remembering well there connector SATA HDD SATA HDD can be used.

I think 750GB can be too much and I don t know if it will work OK. Used mine M70 with 320 GB of HARD drive.
You can test it, but please post comments.
    > Do to restore the operating system on the hard drive with the DVD created in the first round
You can use the original picture but if I m remembering well that old book has been delivered with the recovery disk (WXP Home) and I put t know what you have created.
    > OEM license allow this work, nor block the restoration
As far as I know, the license of the sticker belongs to the recovery image and you cannot use it for the activation of the operating system. If you use original recovery DVD that you got with your laptop you don t need. preloaded will be activated automatically.

  • Satellite L750-1WW - Windows 7 Home premium OEM reinstall

    Hello

A few days ago, I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite L750-1WW used (about 3 years).

The only issue with it is, that there Windows 7 Professional and of course corrupt, but the original OS was Home Premium. This laptop will be my mother, and I don't want to (and also) to pass messages each time you start: "this copy of Windows is not genuine" and other things.

Another thing: there is no recovery partition! I couldn't do a simple system restore...
However, it is a key product for HP Win7 64 bit on the bottom of the PC, it does not work on any Windows 7 (Home Premium - Ultimate - Professinal, 32-64 bit), I tried all the possibilities.

I asked Microsoft Community to give me assistance on the resettlement of the original operating system.

They told me to say to my Toshiba problem, because only the manufacturer can wake the system, or reinstall the original OS.
So now, I ask you for help.

    Greetings,
    Csaba

    Hello

    > Another thing: there is no recovery partition!
Of course the previous owner has modified (formatted) HARD drive and the table partitions, and consequently, the recovery of partitions isn't available.

The serial key you will find at the bottom of the unit does not have in relation to the clean Microsoft Windows operating system. He touches s an OEM and belongs to the Toshiba system preinstalled.

If you want to get the original operating system preinstalled, you can order the recovery disk. The recovery disk would fix the laptop to factory condition.

Here, you could get this disc:

  • Installed XP PRO (HP OEM OS) on an all new 200 GB, severe loss of space!

Hi, I received great advice a few days ago and buy a new 200 GB for my mobile HP6710b, the original HD crashed and was not accessible.

I used a Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 OS disk, OEM HP disc. In advance I downloaded every driver offered by HP for this model 6710 b. The installation went smoothly, even though I had to call Microsoft for a new work product key. As in my old HD, they used a disk for the recovery partition and I put aside 1084 mb (recommended minimum).

Once completed, the system told me I ' did not have enough space and I need to delete some files for space!  In properties, 'C' indicates only 1.5 GB of total space and available as freespace only 1%, so I'm perplexed and completely baffled.

    I'd appreciate ANY help.

Should I order a recovery CD?

    Thank you

Install the Chipset and other drivers of the USB by clicking on each to run it automatically install in the right place.

Go to your My Documents folder and create a new folder. Name downloads. Then download your other Audio drivers, etc. and direct to save, choose new file downloads as a place to record. Once all are saved in this folder, open the folder and click to throw each of them to install.

For audio, you will need two files in the Audio category, install the MS UAA before ADI Audio driver. HERE

  • EliteBook 2570p: Windows 7 Pro OEM activation error after reinstall onto the new HARD drive

    Greetings!

I had to replace my laptop HARD drive and then clean installed windows iso downloads, burned on a dvd.

I first tried Windows 10 (build 1511), then Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with SP1. Or activate using the key OEM COA sticker.

I tried MS activation of phone also, but they said that they could not generate a confirmation key. They tried to transfer me to "get windows up and running support" but could not get through.

The first activation says invalid key without being connected to the internet, which makes me wonder if there is an inconsistency between my product key and SLIC data, (which I do not have much understanding).

The service 'Ask Tech' at Microsoft tried to sell me a license at a high cost, which I don't think I should need because I have the license OEM Windows 10 retail.

I don't have HP recovery disks (and did not expect to need).

    Any advice would be welcome!

(the location is the South Africa)

    NoKillBill

The problem is that you should NOT use Win7 ISO downloads to reinstall your PC.  Given that your PC came with a preinstalled HP Win7 OEM version, and is NOT available for download, I have to assume that what you used to reinstall a retail version.

And the problem is that the commercial version only lights up with a retail key.  The product key that came with your PC and is printed on the COA sticker, is a key to OEM HP product - and that cannot be used to activate any other than the version from HP OEM version of Win7.

Your best bet at this point, is to restore your PC using HP recovery media - and then perform the upgrade of Win10 after that.

It is a DVD and CD set that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Note that if HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Tecra M10 hangs when booting with the new OEM battery

    Hello world

I bought an OEM battery for my tecra and now the laptop freezes at boot (the screen remains black with a flashing underscore) with the battery connected.
I have to remove the battery, connect the AC adapater, turn on the laptop and, after loading of windows, and then connect the battery.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

    > I bought an OEM battery for my tecra and now the laptop freezes at boot (the screen remains black with a flashing underscore) with the battery connected.

In most cases underscore flashing is related to the problem of faulty RAM or HARD disk.
In my case, the HARD drive was defective and so I had the same symptom for laptop.

I m not very well where is the link between the blinking underscore and the new battery but the computer world everything is really strange sometimes and a lot of strange things can happen so maybe the new battery is defective

Have you noticed this problem with the old battery?
If not, then I recommend test another battery maybe it helps

  • Portege R500 - Toshiba does sell OEM licenses for Windows 7

    Hello

I have a Portege R500 with Windows XP.
I have now installed a version of Windows 7 without activation to see if all the drivers are working (Windows 8 is not supported I know).

Everything looks good and Windows tells me now as planned, it is not authentic and propose to buy the license, but when I go to MS it fails (it seems that MS sells not more Windows 7).

Toshiba sells licenses for Windows 7 for a R500 OEM?

It would be a shame to throw it away because of this.

    Thank you
    Markus

All you can do is to order a Toshiba Recovery disk.
The recovery disc contains exactly the same operating system that was preinstalled on the laptop on the first day of purchase.

In your case, this means that you will get the recovery with Win XP OS disk.

As Timox said: If you want to use the other system than Win XP, you must purchase the Microsoft operating system.

  • Satellite A300-1ED-CD-key for the installation of Vista OEM?

    Hi all!

I have question. Can I legaly use cd key of windows vista Home premium preinsaled on my Satellite A300-1ED to install a clean oem Windows Vista Home Premium without toshiba or mcafee software?

    Many thanks for the answer!

You can try to do, but it won't work. This key will not activate your own operating system preinstalled.
This product key is for the recovery image, that you got with your laptop.

Many people understand this wrong, especially when they sell old books on eBay and wrote: legal production key is on the bottom. And what to do with this key? You can't do anything with it.

  • HP: unlock OEM windows 7 for use with another computer?

    Hello

I recently got a HP computer with an OEM windows installation 7. After the machine (fatal hardware failure), I tried to use the windows key to install it on another computer. However, the key is an OEM product and would not activate, so after talking to microsoft they sent me here to ask if the manufacturer could "unlock" the key for use with another computer (that I build from scratch).

So all this possible? Or do I have to buy a new license?

Okay, Ive talked to HP and microsoft and it turns out that the key has been blocked (pirates). So much for the purchase of second hand.
