Oerating system matter?

Hi, but I have a used Ipod, I think the operating system for a mac, but I have a PC. It appears in Itunes and I put some songs on it. But I should reformat PC or isn't important?

It does not matter. It is not no matter what access the reader to an iPod touch, and it is not possible to format with the exception of restore in iTunes or on the device itself.

I have a HP USB 3.O 128 GB Flashdrive. He said that it is compatible to Windows 8. I don't know whether or not to use NTFS.  I can't find this information. Although the computer file system is NTFS, the flash drive file system matter? Can I use a card SDHC Sandisk FAT-32 for example? I have one of these institutions. Can I partition the 128 GB Flashdrive HP for this purpose for my recovery disk or do I need a dedicated flash player which is only used for recovery? Thank you.

HP PC laptop flow 11 model: 11-d010nr, product number: K2L95UA #ABA, file system NTFS, Intel Celeron CPU N2840 2.16 GHz, RAM 2.00 GB, 64-bit x 64 based processor, 8.1 with Bing Windows operating system, HP USB 3.0 flash drive 128 GB, Sandisk Ultra SDHC 32 GB FAT 32 memory card

You need a flash dedicated for this drive. The process will resume the entire drive by default - and format it however it requires. You probably have a 16 GB flash drive. Open Recovery Manager and it tells you what is the required size.

  • XP Professional x 64 Edition for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit upgrade. The best way?

    Hi you all, experts,

I want to spend my edition of Windows XP Professional x 64 (legit) to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I don't think I need additional options in 'Ultimate', but I need, I am sure, XP mode that comes with "7 Professional".

Maybe I should mention at this point that I am a member of the program saved Reacondicionador, until you feel that I was fully authorized to "renovate" my own PC.

First of all a question about Windows 7 itself: -.

As I said, I need to be able to run certain programs that have been written for XP. The expression "run several Windows XP programs in Windows XP Mode (separate download) company" in "features" means that I have to pay extra for this option? If Yes, how and where to go?

Is there a reason why my 2D design program which works perfectly under XP Pro x 64 (WOW64) should not be running in the above "Windows XP Mode"?

Furthermore, I believe that I have several choices on how how to get 'XP' ' 7'.

    1) "OEM", the less expensive but, I understand, once installed on a clean hard disk only, that is all. End, end of story! What should I do if my motherboard fails and needs to be replaced? Can I get a replacement license or I have to buy an another OEM?

    2) 'Upgrade' which I believe will overwrite an existing operating system (matter if it's XP or Vista?) and install "Windows 7". Here are all my existing files maintained? If this is not the case, can I 'restore' to a 'Backup' created by XP?

    3) "Retail", the more expensive but, I understand that, can be transferred or installed on a PC refurbished, although it is only has a license valid on a PC at the same time. Is there a difference between "Retail" and "Upgrade"? Can I use one over the other? If so, why? Is there a difference?

    4) authentic software. Is it possible that I can know without having the product in my hands, or installed on my system, whether or not an article supposed to be "Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit" is actually authentic. Is there a relevant question, can I ask which would identify a fake before I part with my money?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer.

No, Windows Virtual PC with Windows XP Mode is free for users of Windows 7 Professional. To learn more:

Is there a reason why my 2D design program which works perfectly under XP Pro x 64 (WOW64) should not be running in the above "Windows XP Mode"?

Personally, I've used several graphic programs 2D and 3D even on Windows XP Mode, include The Print Shop, PhotoDraw 2000 v2 and they work very well to this topic. The article I linked to provide instructions how to publish your applications, you can use alongside Windows 7 applications.

No, you will need to purchase a new license if your Windows 7 OEM System Builder License fails. You could of course try install and reactivate the components on the new motherboard before buying a new license, because some people have been 'lucky' get it reactive but is is not a guarantee. If the motherboard is replaced based on a defect or warranty, you should be able to reactivate the replacement motherboard.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

EaseUS TODO Backup free - CNET Download.com

You cannot upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7. Especially in the case of Windows XP Professional x 64, you need start a custom Setup by booting from the Windows 7 DVD.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

  • VM 2012 Win

Is it possible to create a virtual Win 2012 machine in ESXi 5.0 Update 2

I see not Win 2012 option in the virtual machine Wizard during the neutrophilia comments Oerating system.

I can see option option Windows Server 08 (64-bit).

    Please suggest.

Our vCenter is still 5.0 Build 755629. May this be the reason?

Yes, in order to see the operating systems recently supported when you are connected to the server vCenter Server, you must upgrade the vCenter server too. However, you can select Windows 2012 while connected to a directly connected ESXi host.

  • Resize problem WinXP VM

    Hi people,

My Win XP VM has been making slower and slower the last several weeks and yesterday I finally had reached the limit of my patience. I have an iMac with the 3 GB maximum ram. VMWare Fusion 2.05 installed and I am under a Win XP VM on an external drive SCSI 1 TB "My Book".

I allocated 1.5 GB VM 1 GB that has helped, but wasn't great (which surprised me. I thought that it flew) so I decided to increase the size of the hard drive of 97 GB to 256 GB space. I did this in the settings and went to start the virtual machine. I had a little scare immediately when XP was not start immediately as before. First pop on the message I get is "do not forget to install VMWare tools package in this virtual machine: wait for your comments oerating system complete the boot, and then choose Virtual Machine > install VMWare Tools... and follow the instructions." I installed VMware tools three times in the past that I can remember. I click 'OK' and the boot proceeds to the following:

    Looking for screen back: -.

    MAC ADDRESS OF THE CLIENT:

PXE - E53: no boot file received

PXE - MOF: Exit Intel PXE ROM

    Operating system not found

Then I get a pop-over saying no bootable device detected. Then he told me how to install an operating system.

I then browsed the KB and the community of merger to get answers and found the article on a partition resizing http://communities.VMware.com/docs/doc-7471 . I followed these instructions and downloaded the iso of GParted. As I worked the manual I came on a catch to the choice 2 part 3 of step 4)

    4) select your existing virtual disk partition, and then click resize/move. GParted will implement the dialog box resize.

    (5) select your existing partition to the right arrow and drag it completely to the right to take a newly added virtual hard disk size.

    6) click on the resize/move button.

Firstly my mouse does not work so I had to use the tab keys arrow and alt, secondly, GParted watch dev/sda 97,65 GB space unallocated. The only option I have in GParted is creating a partition table. So I stopped at this point until I don't have something stupid!

    So this was all yesterday.

This morning watching the news for the file VM.vmdk of parallels and noticed that I could mount it. So I did and now I can use the finder to see all of my projects and files. they are always there (RELIEF!).

Someone has ideas how to help me from this point?

    Thank you

    David H.

It is apparent from the record of vmdkMounter.log the VM.vmdk "Parallels" file you put together with VMDKMounter is:

    '/Volumes/My Book/Virtual Machines/Parallels VM/Parallels VM.vmdk'

However, the 'Parallels VM.vmdk' file the VM is pointing to is located at:

    '/Volumes/My Book/Virtual Machines/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm/Parallels VM.vmdk'

So I don't know what you were doing or how you got the things as did you but I'd sure have copies of following folders backup before doing anything else.

With the merger closed and no virtual disk mounted on your desktop make a copy of the following...

    The folder "/ Volumes/My Book/Virtual Machines/Parallels VM.

The ' / Volumes / my book/Virtual Machines / Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm' packaging of the Virtual Machine.

Then point the VM of Windows XP Professional on the good disk or copy or move the "/ Volumes/My Book/Virtual Machines/Parallels VM/Parallels VM.vmdk" including all its segments to "/ Volumes/My Book/Virtual Machines/Windows XP Professional.vmwarevm /" packaging of the Virtual Machine.

Or after reviewing what I said to ask questions, you need to first of all.

  • I can't get my system to restore to an earlier date no matter how far back I go.

Any date I select this option to restore, I always get the message that my system does not restore to an earlier date. I tried all the ideas based on knowledge, but in vain. I am logged on as administrator and run the AVG anti-virus.

    Gunner02,
Here are a few articles that cover the system restore issues and information.  Some antivirus programs will be in the path of the system restore feature and might not work.  I would say the first tent to create a restore manually point and check that it creates correctly.  If it isn't then I turn off\on the system restore (This erases all previous restore points) and create a new restore point and test.
If the problem persists then you will want to remove AVG, and test the system restore function.

Does anyone have ESXi 4.1 configured with HP SIM? I installed ESXi 4.1 with the HP Agents but must monitor via HP SIM so that we can monitor the hardware. Also is there a way to get the home page of the HP system to appear on port 2381? Or which is no longer available with ESXi 4.1?

  • No matter what video played in my firefox always flashes. My operating system is Mac OS x 10.6.8 running on the processor intel core duo. 32-bit computer

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Open the Firefox Options (Preferences on Mac or Linux) as follows:

      • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.

      • In 28.0 Firefox and earlier versions, click on the Firefox orange upper-left button, then select the 'Options' button or, if there is no button up Firefox, go to tools > Options.
    2. In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
    3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  • My restores system use max keeps failing no matter how many times I change it.

This has only started to happen lately after I noticed that something takes a lot of space. I usually keep the max use fixed at 2% (18.36 GB) but for some reason randomly resets to 50%.

I scanned my computer and nothing appears, I don't know what is the cause... any help?

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. I understand that the previous suggestions do not fix the issue.

Check the hard disk for errors.

    • Click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator.
    • At the command prompt, type the following command:

    Chkdsk volume: / f/r

Note: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Also perform a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

    Refer to this link:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    I hope this helps.

Yes, you can use it in two ways.

    (1) sqlplus / as sysdba--> you're ORACLE_HOME owner, you must connect using ' / '.

    (2) sqlplus sys / * as sysdba--> if you create the password file, you can then use this password, password for the most part, you need even when you connect from other/remote machine.

Similarly, new tabs and the home page back to Yahoo after the reopening. This is a new laptop HP with Windows 10 and I just downloaded Firefox. I spent a lot of time trying to solve this problem and about to give up and to switch browsers. I bet that Chrome will allow me to use Google.

Generally, changes in parameters are retained between reboots. If you change other preferences such as your home page, Firefox manages to retain those between reboots?

We have an article of general support on issues that may lead to changes to get lost between sessions: How to fix preferences that will not save.

    Two other thoughts:

    (1) some software utility/security/life private changes the folder of Firefox settings between sessions. This includes Advanced SystemCare and various programs 'homepage protection' or "browsing protection" feature. If you have any software with a similar feature, disable it until everything is set as you want and stable.

    (2) you might check all the extensions that could possibly change the settings when you start Firefox. You can do this on the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, take a critical look on the list on the right side. On a new installation, it is usually empty, unless Firefox has detected the extensions that already exist on your system. Something unexpected?
