  Last week I have been setting up an ASA5515x for the sole purpose of being our VPN concentrator. We do 2 factor auth with certificates and credentials of the AD.

  For employees, we are launching company owned portable computers with installed device certificates.

  For third party suppliers, we issue user certificates

  The big problem, in that I am running is the first connection for employees. If they try to connect via Anyconnect, it returns a certificate error, and after clicking on OK, it is prompted to choose a VPN Alias. After selcting which, by clicking OK, the process repeats with the certificate error. If I change the VPN profile to use strictly AAA, they get invited to their powers AD and get connected very well. After that, I can't change the VPN profile in aid of certificates and AAA and the customer can connect perfectly well.

  Thus, it seems that until Anyconnect downloads a profile that orders from the computer certificate store, Anyconnect look there. I got exactly the same problem when you configure the sellers. For sellers, it was solved by using IE to go to the web portal and connect it. Once connected the Anyconnect profile would download and it works perfectly after that.

  Unfortunately the above does not work for employees whose certificates of the aircraft. When you try to connect to this VPN via IE group, I get a similar certificate error. I suspect it's because IE is not plunging into the Machine certificate store to present the certificate to the device on the web portal.

  So now that I'm stuck with a chicken or the egg scenario, Anyconnect needs profile before it can connect, but it needs to connect to get the profile. I suppose we could e-mail the XML file with instructions on where to leave it fall, but would be hard to ask users to navigate through the folders hidden Windows.

  Maybe I'm on what is obvious, but it looks like a poor design of Anyconnect when she no. saved PROFILE will not at least try all methods (Machine, user cert cert, etc.) to connect the first time.

  Anyone has any ideas to fix this?

  (in my not-so-recent experience with part CA VPN)

  For employees, you can create a model of a situation that have the your 3rd parties.

  That is a separate profile for the first launch (commissioning?) which will automatically start anyconnect by entering the credentials of the AD and download the profile.

  All subsequent connections should work fine AC profile has been downloaded and done properly.

  Before installing kindly, restart the machine and then rename the folder in C:\Program Files (x 86) OOBE \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp as OOBE_OLD

  So I am new to Flex and I'm new to actual emissions, but I have experience in the design of the user interface.  My question for you gurus Flex is all... because I'm starting a solo project, and I don't know if I should start preparing the application visually first and then add the underlying and Assembly, coding or it starts with the code piece by piece, then rework the layout to be attractive...

  Short answer: first build the user interface.

  Development has been traditionally the data upwards.  Thus, the programmer would be take a look at what data was needed to collect, architect of the database, build the data access components, then the interface in addition to this.  Build user interface came last and is often designed to accommodate the data.  What I call the "bottom up" approach  The problem is that, for most users, the user interface is the application.  Is not giving them the opportunity to review the user interface until the last step can be tedious and costly changes.

  A 'new' approach is to build the interface first, or a prototype of the interface.  Let users play with her so that they are comfortable.  In theory, they will easily spot something that prevents you from being productive with the program.  User interface, you can then create your data access objects / layer of service and from there, create the database.  In this approach, the data supports the UI, not the other way around.  What I call the "top-down" approach

  -My lights are not bright enough. I have five, three for the person, two behind them for the wall. It is clear but not bright enough.

  an ova is a tar file, so you should be able to extend to the FVO.

• Question related to the upgrade to Windows 8.1

  I currently have a HP laptop with 4 GB of Ram and 64-bit Windows 7 SR1 running. I'll give this computer to my wife, that his old bridge is going Tango-uniform (UT). I bought a new Lenovo SmartCheck S535 with 6 GB Ram 1 TB of storage. It came with Windows 7 SR1 already on board and he also included disks for Windows 8.1. First of all, I did a set of boot rescue disks and start them on the side.

  But now, I have a question, do I have to transfer my files from HP to Lenovo so that both use Windows 7 SR1? Or. should I go ahead and upgrade the OS and transfer the files.

  I'm sure that happens with a lot of people, there will be a lot of programs that I keep less re - install on the new computer. They are trash who are picked up along the way for those of us who use or service of computers as often we brush our teeth. Oops... maybe it's not such a great comparison, but you get what I mean!

  So, I would be very interested to hear your advice, your success, Yes and even a failure or two, all for the purpose of education.

  As a system dual boot, the only place where the 2 operating systems interact is the bootstrapper. Windows 8 will take the priority, is somewhat different, as far as it goes, and if you select then Windows 7 system reboots so it can do a little slower. Of course, there will be a loss of disk space but you are then also 2 installs of Office and everything else.

  If you were to go down the possibility to buy a kit Windows 8.1 you avoid the need to do a complete reinstall, because it will improve instead. You also avoid the need to run the upgrade of the store from 8 to 8.1. You must decide if the cost is justified, but in your situation, I would seriously consider that option as well.

  Even if I'm not a big fan of Windows 8 I made the full switch and are accustomed to him, I'm sure you will as well.

• Airport Extreme firmware update proves difficult

  I have an old extreme airport that I have not used for a while — probably around 2008 or 2009.  Go to 2016 when I suddenly had a need to get back online.  I tried to implement via Airport utility, but it is what it says:

  You get around this using... or borrowing of 10-15 minutes... a Mac that is running an operating system older like Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x) or a PC utility AirPort for Windows on the device.

  If you have an Apple Store or Apple close to home repair center, they might have an old Mac available that could be used to update the firmware on your AirPort Extreme old.

  Once the airport has been updated to the version of firmware available more high using the older Mac or PC, then you can use your current Mac for new updates if they are available.

  DL the driver files on another PC and copy to a USB flash drive or burn them on a CD.

• Stand-alone 3502I without controller?

  I have a client with several former Aironet 1121 G from WAP.  In one place of the factory several big engine noise levels prevents a reliable connection to the WAP, even if it is located in the same room as users.  I mean updated the 1121G to the 3502I to take advantage of Clean Air technology.  This raises two questions:

  1) will be able to effectively manage the RF noise only 3502I or it requires a WAP network to work properly?

  (2) the 3502I requires the controller of CT2504 to clean at work, or it will run in stand-alone mode?

  NO. 802. 11A is high-speed, short-range radio.  802. 11b is long range and low speed and has 3 channels of Alcan.

  Unfortunately, if you have a noisy RF environment, putting a WLC (DCA, with active PTC) can help.  Without this, you need to constantly monitor each WAP and manually change the channels and Tx power.

  You are in a situation a little "who comes in first place, the chicken or the egg".  If you cannot afford to get a WLC with your solution, don't bother upgrading.  It's a waste of money.

• New computer with Windows 7 Pro installed - also came with disks to Windows 8 Pro - what I lose everything?

  I recently bought a new computer. It was announced to come with Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8 Pro. Since the announcement, I assumed that it would be implemented for a dual-boot (something that I have never made or used it before).

  In another section of this community, I have posted a question, "what happens first – the chicken or the Egg," asking if I would like to transfer my data and applications before that upgrade to Windows 8 or after. I received responses almost half a dozen all recommend that I transferred my files prior to upgrade. With the new software of practice by hand and using a cable standard CAT5, I transferred all my files, including data and most of my applications, my old computer to the new computer. The transfer takes about six hours and I had about an hour of work later to install my pst, BOINC, Malwarebytes, etc..

  I decided that today would be the day and I would upgrade to Windows 8. There are three disks to:

  1. the claims & recovery of pilots

  2. system recovery disk for operating

  3 supplemental Recovery Disc

  However, when reading the attached brochure, there is a warning very clear that if I use these discs, I lose all my apps and data and will have to start from scratch. In many previous editions of Windows, I remember using upgrade disks. Recovery disks were what I did when I first installed the new computer.

  So, I ask, this is the only way I can achieve this? Am I condemned to throw seven hours of work? Y there is a place, less painful alternatives?

  Unfortunately, this is how the work of recovery discs, they do not operate like retail disk that will give you the ability to dual boot.

  Your options are limited.

• Compaq Presario F500 notebook computer Series Warranty Service improvement experience :-(

  Earlier Notepad Persario F500 I had stopped working.  There is no video on the computer LCD Panel or external monitor. The laptop turned on, the power LED lights up, but nothing has been seen on the screen. It was out of warranty by one year and I thought it was pretty much dead.  Someone else opened it to see if they could do something with it, but they couldn't.  Early last month, I discovered just by chance that HP had extended the warranty on these books and that my symptoms correspond to what is presented on the following link.

  I've never heard of this before, so I called HP support and the tech told me that the machine was still under warranty and the symptoms seem to fit the program.  A FedEx box was sent to him for a warranty repair.  An email was sent and a tracking number has been given to the area.  It arrived in two days.  I packed the laptop and sent him to HP.  A tracking number was given to me for this leg of the trip too.  He arrived at HP in two days.  The support that has been given has been updated to show the laptop had arrived and was being looked at by a tech.  So far, I was pleased with the way things were going.

  After about two days, the link was updeated and asked me to contact HP and charges of $429 has been issued. I called and customer service told me that service technicians found that the laptop was ben opens and some internal damage had occurred because of this.  Before the warranty work could be done other problems should be fixed.  I refused repair and told them to send it back.  On the rear view I should have started my argument with HP right there.

  The reason why the laptop has been opened in the first place was due to the fact that there was a problem and I knew it was out of warranty.  If I knew the warranty enhancement program before any damage could be because the laptop would never had been opened.

  The shipping to me was a bit mysterious.  No email or tracking number was never given to me for the return trip.  I called customer service three times and got three different stories on this.

  The first time I called customer service told me that the laptop was on his way back to gace me and they me two tracking to get numbers.  After that I tried these figures, it seems that it was for the box that was sent to me originally and the other was the number that was used to ship the laptop with me to HP.

  Yesterday I called again.  This time customer service could not find any current record of the laptop.  The representative thought that the laptop was probably still at HP where was the work of security without a damage that has been done when it was opened to the top of the mounting.  He told me to call back on Tuesday for an update.

  At this point, I was suspicious.  I decided to call again today.  This time the representative told the labor warranty and that he would be delivered back to me.  They said that an email would be sent to me with a tracking number for the return trip.

  Later in the day the phone was actually decreased from home by Fedex.  No warranty work were made.

  At this point, I'm very disappointed and confused.  It seems that representatives of clients, that I spoke none really knew what was going on with my laptop 100%.  The fact it was sent to me without an email or a tracking number is very disturbing.

  More I think about it more disappointed I am with HP in the handling of this case.  HP knows that laptop has problems and still not would repair mine since it was opened and damaged during this process.  The only reason why he opened was in first place because at the end of material he had and the fact that, as far as I knew, it was out of warranty.

  I hope really that someone in the 'food chain' at HP reads this and take history to heart.  Management at HP has to do a better job in such cases.

  Thanks for the clarification.  I understand that as well.  It's a shame that the video tape was damaged.  If I only knew the building ahead.  He could go in circles forever.  It's like what came first the chicken or the egg.  It's all water under the bridge now.  The laptop was separated out on ebay and I have two other laptops anyway.

  The problem is that globals.site.dateNow makes whites when called from a campaign by e-mail.

  If I use the same method as before in a web page (rather than an email campaign), it works perfectly so I guess that globals.site.dateNow is not available in an email campaign.

  That's why I tried another way which is to pass another parameter of the module including the delivery date of the email (as shown below):

  It is however is to make meanings like 'text' in the email. He has successfully replaced the {tag_deliverydate} with 'October 19, 2015', but it does not then decipher the tag module. I guess it's a bit a chicken and the egg tag thing which should make first.
