Of countless updates always stored - suppressible?

I am just crossing and cleaning house.

Firstly the cause, I had to install a "partition" I thought, it's called because my computer crashed, and then everyone told me that it is a Goner, I knew how to operate again and successfully did everything on my own. To begin with why I wanted to clean, he started that every time I turn on my computer, a black screen with grey lettering appears with 3 lines, one above the other, to which I have to choose my operating system if the computer will not go into the old one has crashed, to me? The last of the 3, which I cannot find anywhere anywhere in any file on any page or folder or anywhere, anywhere on my computer said "WINDOWS (DEFAULT)" and because I learned how find and remove systems did not want not, I started looking for "WINDOWS (DEFAULT)" and can't find anywhere to get out of my system This is where it started if anyone can start by describing this one.

But in means and hours of searching, I can't tell you how many updates of Windows or packs or automatic load from the Windows site, I found and began to wonder, how much space would they take all and if I thought right, and with little computer knowledge and very little I, I thought that when a new update or a service pack is released for my computer and downloaded finished it or not is not it supposed to erase past unnecessary charges for that sometimes, the new one can be in fact now a 'cumalative' update including all the front plus the new? So why do I need to maintain all the previous ones on my computer when only take place if the nine are including all previous data?  Make me?

Thus, the question, is there a simple way or download it here or check the system I can finish that Microsoft Downloads will be the intermediate case collectively find all updates/downloads old and useless and erase unnecessary because only newer already dealing with the same needs for my computer? You know, like the new one I could have added today includes the same past 3 load last Friday, Thursday and Wednesday, so why guard those 3 wasting space when the update of today made the work itself? It then I'm embarrassed myself, hope that someone out there understands me and is ready and not already too frustrated with me and can offer me their time, little little assistance, response and returned with great thanks and gratitude.

Have a great day! RP

  • CC of Photoshop updater always crashes on WIndows 7, saying "finished".... ».

    CC of Photoshop updater always crashes on Windows 7, saying "finished".... ». Does not help restart. Whatever the initial cause of this condition, is it possible to reset the State of the installer, so that it can try again from the beginning?

    As suggested, I've resorted to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop CC (2014) to solve the problem. It seems a bit of a sledge hammer approach, but it did not take too long.

    As for the original cause of the problem, it may be associated with the fact that I also have Photoshop elements 11 is installed. I was able to recreate a similar problem when you try to update bridge CC. During installation, the update has complained that "ElementsAutoAnalyzer" was in running and (once this had been arrested) the update was not recovered successfully. I think it's the same thing during the update of Photoshop CC. Strange that I've never had this problem before, though - it's just the latest update which caused the problem.

  • When using external schema which is always stored on the heap?

    Hi all

    If I have a regime like that...
    <distributed-scheme>
        <scheme-name>distributed-scheme</scheme-name>
        <service-name>TestDistributedService</service-name>
        <backing-map-scheme>
          <external-scheme>
            <lh-file-manager>
              <directory>/temp/odc-data</directory>
            </lh-file-manager>
          </external-scheme>
        </backing-map-scheme>
    </distributed-scheme>
    .. When I place the data in a cache which is always stored in the heap?

    When I do a test, I see that obviously the data are not on the job I can add entries massively more before I run out of memory.

    Reminder of levy of the VisualVM tool I see as many instances of com.tangosol.util.Binary I entered - so they are always keys on the job?

    If I add the index then I see that they are on the job, so I'll have the keys and the values indexed on the job. I find myself with twice as many instances of binary that I put entries, which is logical index contains a reference to the binary key.

    The reason why I ask is because I set up a "Dev version" of our application using < external-system > everywhere you would normally use a < local > schema so that we can run a version of our app Dev tests on development with low RAM machines. She needed a few tweaks and a custom DefaultConfigurableCacheFactory, but seems to work very well. Now, I'm trying to understand how much space check us and how many 'data' is always on the job.

    See you soon,.
    JK

    Hi Jonathan,.

    As can imagine you, the value is placed in the external store and the key is kept in a mapping of keys on the job. In fact, the external Bank has a binary key and a binary value. The index also works as you guessed.

    Kind regards

  • Windows Update always running in background

    Hi all

    I am running Vista and have reformatted and reinstalled three times in the last four or five months.  Whenever I installed, the pc works fine for a while then after a windows update, I don't know which, I start getting a lot of substantive activity on my hard drive.  This activity relates the mouse so much that sometimes it won't let me move it for 10 to 20 seconds.  Even with the keyboard.

    After each reinstallation, I load Vipre, to update and run a security analysis. Can I update Vista with each patch MS listed as critical or recommended before installing other software.  Now, all that is loaded is MS Office, Adobe Web Premium, Sony Ebook Library and some printer drivers.

    Manager tasks indicates little activity, 1-3% on each of the 4 hearts.  I restarted in safe mode, just to see if it might be something that takes over and I have the same problem in safe mode.  Lock the mouse and the hard disk activity.  Again, all the security scans show nothing other than a few cookies.

    I saw in other Councils there have been problems with either Windows Update has blocked upwards or with the MS .net framework installed.

    Someone has seen this before and if yes is there a solution that doesn't require a reformat and reinstall?

    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

    I'm still confused why you say "Windows Update is always running in the background" If you have not confirmed it.

    After a clean install, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer". After each cleaning installed, you take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or a network otherwise and before using a USB or SD card that was not brand new, or had not been freshly formatted?

    3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    On the partition of Windows XP:

    5. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    6. double-click on the file that you saved in #4 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  • windows backup simply updates existing stored files with anything new?

    Original title:

    Windows backup

    I made my first backup of Windows 7 using an external hard drive. It took about 4 hours and it has used about 131 GB.  I put the computer to do it automatically every week on Sunday but I'm not sure what I have to do - probably just connect the external hard drive? However the back-up simply to update the existing files with something new? Also then see what was on the disk I couldn't see where my Live Mail is stored?

    Your direct mail is stored on your e-mail server.  If your computer burns in a fire, your emails are still on the mail server of Live ready to use and download any email client.  However, if you want to save locally stored e-mail (that maybe not all), it depends on what mail program you use.  As Windows 7 has no built-in e-mail program, let me first ask what e-mail program you use.

    Anyway, to answer your question of backup: Yes, only files that are new or changed since the last backup copied again.  If there is already an up-to-date copy because nothing has changed, he has not a just double, because who would waste space when backing up.

  • KB2771431 update always fails to install.

    I tried several times to install the KB2771431 update (automatically, manually,), and it always fails. I have a problem with the use of the resources that this update fixes supposedly so I would install it.

    Hello

    I have experienced the same problem for KB2771431 and KB2820197 on Windows 8 x 64. I solved the problem by following these steps:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Run the prompt as an administrator (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/elevated-command-prompt-windows-8.htm).
    3. Type net stop wuauserv and press ENTER.
    4. Type Rename C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.Old and press ENTER.
    5. Type net start wuauserv , and then press on enter.
    6. Restart your computer.
    7. Recheck the Windows updates and install them. After the installation is complete, restart your computer.
    8. Repeat step 7 until there is no new update doesn't appear on Windows Update.
  • wireless lan driver installation update always fail and the update corrupted my wireless driver I use Samsung series 5

    Updates were recently fired the SW update. I have installed all the other updates the BIOS etc successfully, with the exception of the wireless Lan driver. Instead of doing an update, it has disabled my wireless totally when he said that the installation has failed.

    During my first attempt, I downloaded the driver 100%. Then a pop up message appeared saying that "the installation may take several minutes", and then another Intel logo appears and disappears, but said later that he could not install. After that, I get disconnected from my internet connection. No sign of wireless activity were found. I tried to watch the wireless icon and it was gone. I tried to solve the problem and it says that the only device for my wireless connection is Bluetooth.

    I thought it was just the problem of internet connectivity, so I tried to download the next day, but this time while being connected to a local network. The same thing happened to downloaded 100% and does not once again during installation. I just want you to know that I closed all applications and my laptop plugged in during installation if it helps your troubleshooting. I asked SAMSUNG support and they told me that the problem is with Microsoft, so I should ask them.

    I tried to update for like 5 or more times, but it's the same thing. I use my laptop for work and it's like I can't live without my wireless LAN are not always available. Download of the update becomes tedious because I have to wait like half an hour to finish the download only to find out that the installation will fail. I searched his driver I can install it manually but its nowhere to be found, looks like I'm stuck with SW update

    Uninstall the driver for Wireless LAN / network card.

    Follow the steps to uninstall the network adapter driver:

    b. search for network card.

    c. right-click the WLAN network adapter , and then click Uninstall.

    d. follow the command prompt, and then restart the computer.

    Step 3:
