If you have formatted (and I guess that reinstalled XP) games give you a hard time, and I would look first to your video drivers.
Video drivers that come on the XP CD are generic and may not be quite right for your video hardware environment.
Since we don't know anything about your system (because MS Answers don't ask for all), the usual advice is to go to your manufacturers Web site to get the latest video drivers.
If you are unsure of what you have, maybe we can help you find the right video drivers.
Please provide additional information on your system:
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
Msinfo32
Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.
For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.
There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.
This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

After you install the update of security KB2707511 when I try to open a ms - dos 16-bit program, I get the following error: "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. " Application does not start. I can run without error command.com. Uninstall KB2707511 in Control Panel, add & delete, the application works. Install KB2707511 error occurs.
I have a lot of customers running a 16-bit MS-DOS - program that receives the same error. It seems not to be a malware problem, as it is homogeneous across many machines (unless, of course, all have the same problem of malware). By uninstalling the KB2707511 and the KB2709162 they all work. Something in these updates is in conflict with something in these dos programs causing the "NTVDM. Erorr EXE'.

I use a dos program of basis for the drafting of the accounts. This gave all of a sudden the error today: "NTVDM. EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close"I use Windows XP Professional SP2.

Hey Amer,
You can ignore this error message. You would usually encounter this problem if the Windows Backup tries to back up files in folders LocalLow, Contacts and research and these files are not present on your computer.
Well, you also have an option to create or exclude files missing, listed in the error message.
If you want to exclude this folder then please refer to the following steps.
(a) in the backup section, click on "change settings".
(b) in the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.(c) in the 'you want to save ' dialog box, click on 'Let me choose ', then click on 'Next '.
(d) navigate to the user profile folder displayed in the error message and clear the check box next to the folders.
(e) save and exit.
Hope the helps of information.

Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver
I've updated photoshop on my mac last night as it kept prompting me to do, and I have an exam tomorrow, which requires the use of photoshop. When I open photoshop this morning the following message appears:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled the improvements using graphics hardware. Visit the Web site of the manufacturer for the latest version of the software. For more information, visit: http://www.adobe.com/go/photoshop_gpu_cc_en'. '.
Can someone help me with this? IT IS URGENT!
The problem is the driver for your video card, no Photoshop.
Update the video card driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU (NOT Microsoft or a system integrator).
