Office Application/Windows Forms errors

I had a (Verizon) backup program online for more than a year. The program works very well - throughout all days-, but the shape of the desktop application has stopped working. In other words, I have to program and change the options of the application of office and for a reason that 'buttons' in the form are now "dead." I can click on some of the options (example nothing I click on that gets me to the home page of Verizon on the work of the fine line - it's just the actual form which does not work).

I have re-installed several times, and the question remains. Verizon was no help and I don't think that it has nothing to do with the actual program/application anyway. . It's a question of .NET 2.0. (windows forms)  Please note: I'm just a basic user. I did research online and I just get a large number of real programmers pages on debugging. I have no idea how to do it or access it on my system.  I have no errors to attach but I know it's a .NET 2.0 error id # 5000 (which is windows forms).

How can I understand why the form doesn't work anymore?

Hello

You can try to perform the system restore and restore the computer to the date it was working fine. Link for reference: how to restore Windows XP to a previous state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

If the application is subject to the .net Framework, you can reinstall .net Framework.

  • Duration of sizing of the application windows (forms 10g)

    Hello
    Last question. I have a few forms which were in client/server 6i and have been upgraded to 10g. When I run applications in 10g, all the elements will not match the screen. 6i Runtime, they used to fit all objects when executing very well.

    Without having to change the settings of window on each form, I was wondering if there was a way to change a running value in a config file that would resize the size of the immediate window.

    I tried to change the "Width" and "Height" parameters on the formsweb.cfg file, but apparently not to resize it. If there is a config file or something that could do this, it would be much easier. I am trying to save me the work of having to go to 130 + forms and change the property window so that it displays all of the objects. I hope someone can tell me the file and the option that would do it.

    Thank you
    Chris

    We have a process of preform in the library of the PLL that begins each form that defines the size of the form to the size of Window0 if it is smaller and reduced the size of the form to 110 percent of the size of Window0 if the window is too large.

    Each form calls the process of PLL_Pre_Form of the trigger of the preform.

    The process works the same, whether in Client/Server forms or Web forms and Web forms, the process increases the height and the width a little. Here is the code:

     If Get_Application_Property(User_Interface) = 'WEB' then -- Web forms
    If get_window_property(forms_mdi_window,title) is null then
    --SeparateFrame=False:  running inside browser window.
    W := W + 8;
    H := H + 98;
    Else -- SeparateFrame=True
    W := W + 16;
    H := H + 132;
    End if;
    End if;

    .. .and the coordinate system for our forms is set to true, Pixel.

    Hello Astroguy,

    Thank you for your response back!

    Good to know that you have done a repair install.  What I would do is run the SFC scan, because you performed the installation of repair recently the chances are that the SFC scan should be good.  If there is a problem, it will signal you when finished.

    Then I would go to Windows Update to check if he has new updates and/or try to update all those who did not.  If you still get the updates that do not please let us know what he's trying to put up-to-date and error.

    Hello

    Here's what I recommend you do:

    1. disable UAC (do this if you are using Vista or Windows 7, otherwise, go to step # 2). Comes down

    restrictions - turn it off completely.
    2 restart your computer for the change to take effect.
    3 re - download the update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB982331) from the link below:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7f89a734-cda4-4abb-9a10-f6dfe560e8d0&displaylang=en
    4. install. It should work fine.
    5. If it still does not work, try to open all or part of your MS Office applications (such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc.).
    6. follow steps 3-4.
    7. If it still does not work, follow step # 3 again. After you download it, try unplugging your computer from

    Internet (unplug the internet cable or turn off the modem). Then, try to install the downloaded file

    (KB982331). It should work this time.

    Do the same for all the updates that come with KB982331, IF ANY.
    Let me know your results.

    Hi Ken_978,

    ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         The question is only limited to Office applications?

    ·         What exactly happens when you try to open an Office application? You receive an error message?

    Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Method 1: I suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malware

    The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.

    Method 2: If this does not help then you can uninstall and reinstall Windows search 4.0 on the computer.

    Follow the steps below to uninstall:

    a. click on Start

    b. click Control Panel

    c. select Add / Remove Program

    d. place a check on "Show updates"

    e. you will see Windows Desktop Search 4.0 and uninstall it.

    Reinstall back, you can see the link below:

  • List of open and active/Windows Forms displayed within Windows XP 7 v/s windows on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the status bar

    Salvation OR,.

    We found that the list of forms/open windows displayed in Windows XP (on the right by clicking on the name of the application in the windows taskbar) seems to indicate all open and active windows/forms in the application.

    We would like to know how to enable the same functionality in a Windows 7 environment. The best we can do now is to double click on the name of the application on the windows taskbar to switch between active windows/Forms in the application. We would like a menu similar to the windows XP appearance about running on Windows 7 when it comes to this particular feature.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Ashish

    The taskbard has changed significantly in Windows Vista and 7. You can get a similar functionality to what you call by customizing the taskbar in the taskbar properties. In addition, now press SHIFT key while right-clicking to display a menu similar to what you show in your screenshot, except that it does not display the name of the element. In Windows 7, the feature make you is typically done by hovering over the icon in the bar tasks and selecting one of the points of view which appears above the element.

    You can use the Windows shellapi to do a limited customization of the task bar, but this API is very difficult to use and I would not recommend this approach.

    CVI provides a method to change the name of the item in the taskbar (see this KB), but it does not add the name after the restoration in the context menu.

    -Very well, so I have a laptop that came pre-installed with Windows 8, and I've heard of a'lot of good things about Windows 8.1 but I do not have a hard drive that can store most of my games that I downloaded (my country has no good wifi speeds) so lemme get straight to the point:

    If I update Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows, will be my office (not windows store apps downloaded) games/apps/files/etc removed? Like games such as:
    World of tanks, 4 Battlefield, Team Fortress 2, etc are deleted after update?

    Upgrading the operating system does not mean that none of your

    But there is never a guarantee; No matter what you do, there is
    always the possibility that something may go wrong and you will lose

    So frustrating please help!

    Hello

    For a better understanding of the question, I would like to know what the full error message?

    This problem could occur due to these reasons.

    1. If Windows Store settings are incorrect.
    2. Because of the cache of Windows Store damaged.

    Try the steps listed here and see if it helps.

    Method 1:
    If the problem persists, I suggest that you try the procedure described in the article and check if that helps.
    Why can't find or install the application on the Windows Store?

    Note: applies to Windows 8.

    Method 2:
    If the problem persists, I suggest you to disable anti-virus software / firewall and check if it helps.

    Note:

    (1) Please be sure to reactivate the Antivirus software after you perform the troubleshooting steps.

    (2) anti-virus software / firewall can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable or uninstall your antivirus software. If you need to temporarily disable or uninstall it to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled or uninstalled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Hi Anish,

    If you receive the error 80072efe or 80080008 when you use Windows Store, the cause may be an interruption of the connection between your computer and the Windows Update service.

    The error "something went wrong initialization library of creative cloud" in all office applications. I must have deleted the file CCLibrary 3 times and nothing.

    So I reached out using Adobe. Transferred 4 times, I'm done with that, nobody knew what to do. It is clearly a problem with the communication of the CC with the apps, and no one can figure out who can help, or what is responsible.

    It is a big reason why I do not have a subscription service, when something is wrong (and I needed this functionality), this is what is happening.

    It's terrible. More than two hours of my day for it. No thanks. I'll send my complaints to the top and be more public about Adobe helpdesk.

    Sheena,

    Suggested earlier, and I sent the contents of the current hosts at this time file here:

    I had no idea what to change, and no suggestion was really given what to change.
