Office Jet 6500 E709n stuck in the utility Diagnostics scanner

I have problems with my 6500 E709n. Here's how I got here: [1] trying to open the solution Center I get a dialog (in white) blank for solution Center [2] I tried I found on the forum for this issue of troubleshooting tips (flashplayer was to update, reinstalled the software v14) [3] ran utility diagnostic printer and everything was good utility of diagnosis (4) Ran scan and... It is stuck at "Scanning HP Twain" step. (step 6 of 10). It was on this stage for at least 30 min. That means there is a problem with this part of the software?

Years this printer worked like an absolute charm - no complaints. Then after an update, I don't remember if it was with HP or windows (I use Windows 7 64-bit), but I could not in the center of solution (at this time, I got an error message - now it's just a white box with Solution Center on the title bar). I don't have any significance at the time because I haven't used portions of scan/fax. Now, I have to use for school and work. Long warranty has expired, so I thought I'd come to the experts.

I have screenshots of both saved in a Word doc, but I don't know yet how to convert these screenshots in JPEG format in order to download with this message.

    I read your post on the problems of scanning that you meet with your Officejet 6500 Wireless, Windows 8.1. I understand that you mentioned that you have downloaded the driver, however, if the base driver has been installed, the full functionality will need to be installed to scan.

    Get the complete driver here: HP Officejet full feature and driver software

    If you have the complete driver installed correctly and completely, try running the print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

    Please send me a screenshot of the results, or specific details.

    Also try a reset:

    Press the power button to turn the product on.
    With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
    Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
    Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
    Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
    If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

    Tip: Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help greatly.

    There is a solution to the problem. It was posted by PrintDoc 2010 2-23.  In the search box to the Board of Directors, type "printer causes internet to be disconnected. It will lead you to a thread started by Raonaid, 02/19/10. An attenuated interpretation services of emails until you get to PrintDoc response speaks of SMC routers. Apply the solution. I just did and it worked wonders for my Netgear N750. Good luck.

    This will be my first post so I do not know if I use the right forum so let me know if this should go elsewhere.

    Trying to set up fax to PC (where it saves faxes in a folder of fax) for my Office Jet 6500 E709n on another computer series, but it seems to crush the other PC I initially put it in place.

    So my question is, is anyway to have this option on multiple computers? Or is it just a 1 computer at a time thing. Responses will be appreciated.

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

    I looked into setting up fax to PC to computer then one more for you, and from what I can gather that you are only able to do a single computer at a time with the method used by this printer.

    This document: How to save received faxes to your computer running Windows. Guide through the implementation and however is not 1 single state machine, it shows only the connection to computer 'a' or the 'computers.

    Suggestions only I can think however, would be to make this folder a network shared folder on your home network. You would be able to access the content on all computers. Only thus would require the printer connected to a PC for this, but two computers could see faxes. This document from Microsoft will help you with that: share files and folders on the network.

    Have you also tried to scan from your Mac? Similar problems with it?

    I wonder if it could be related to the router, you have the Officejet and Mac connected for not totally supported Hello (mDNS/Multicast).

    What you can try is first to add the printer via IP. Open on your Mac system preferences and then go to print & fax. Click the Plus sign icon to add a new queue of the printer. Then choose IP - protocoll choose HP Jetdirect taken and then insert the IP address of the printer in the address field and add the printer. Now try printing with this new created printer queue.

    They gave me an office jet 6500 without the cd rom set up the disc. The Unit came with 4 new cartridges. Started trying to get to the top and running and first it attracts not paper. Checked this site and resolved that. (temporaily?) Then saw that it was low out of ink. Installed the new trolleys. Colors work very well, but not black.

    I have no cd rom for this and not manual.

    I see that you can download the establishment, but was intrigued by the mention of a 6500 and 6500 more, not sure I have those. On the front it says "HP office jet 6500 wireless.

    So I guess I have to run the cleaning jet. I started scrolling menu, but was rerouted it says there is no connected computer. Do I need to clean the jets?

    I could shoot for today with a work properly stand-alone copy/printer. But I would not mind at all followed with setting up wireless on my sony pcv-rx752 pc. We use at + t here with a wireless router.

    If please eset the printer to its factory default and then try again, reset instructions has been sent to you as a private message.

    NOTE: Reset erases all settings defined by the user.

    Hi after days trying to install the hp through drive and it ask me for that serscan thing, I decided to try to go to add the printer to my computer, ha it worked!

    Make sure that the printer is plugged into a wall outlet directly and not in a surge protector. This, often, is the reason for lines appearing in the analyses.

    I see that you are looking in the scanning options.  I would like to help.

    As there is no software available for Mac OS X 10.9 HP, you are advised to use the driver of digitization of the OS from Apple.  I'm including a document I would recommend using, title v10.9 OS X Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac.  There is a section called "How to scan with Apple software update driver?"  This should help to address the issue.

  • Office jet 6500 has more printer offline

    HP Office Jet 6500 has more problems with the paper jam.  The printer now shows "offline".  The printer works correctly when you use the copy function.  This is a wireless printer.  I tried printing HP and Scan doctor but the test page does not.

    I reinstalled the driver and who took care of the problem.  Thanks for the quick response.  I will try your solution if it never happens again.
