Office of origin?

I bought a new iMac 5K to replace an iMac 2009. I wanted to do a clean install (for example, to migrate not only), but this has proved problematic as my old machine had problems. So finally, I decided to use the migration assistant to move my old setup of a back-up Time Capsule. That seemed to go well. However, now when I'm in a finder window and click on 'Office' or 'Documents' my house icon in the sidebar 'Favorites', I have a message that 'Office' cannot be opened because the original item is not found (like Documents and the icon from my home). Now, there is a separate house icon that works. I can click that and then can see a list of all the appropriate files that take me to the correct places, but I can't seem to get the icons in the basics of the investigator framed window to map correctly. How can I get the icons in the sidebar of "Favorites" to map correctly?

Thank you.

Please open Finder preferences window and choose the tab Sidebar . Uncheck the box next to each non-functional item to remove it from the sidebar. Then the boxes to check again and test it.

If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

    Hello

Have you seen a message while connected with a temporary profile? If so, then they are always in your original profile, but it has been corrupted. You will need to create a new copy of the old files before deleting.

  • When Lr Mobile sharing it restores the original image?

When Lr Mobile sharing it restores the original image?

as the FAQ says Lightroom mobile synchronizes original JPEG, PNG and video files captured by your mobile device in the creative cloud. Lightroom desktop creates and synchronizes the images in the cloud in the form of intelligent insights. Smart insights are more small versions of your files in origin, roughly 1.5 or 2 MB in size, that hold all the flexibility of a raw file. Changes to chip previews automatically synchronize with your originals. The original files remain on your desktop and are not stored, synchronized or used by Lightroom for mobile. As a result, Lightroom for mobile should not be used as a backup service.

When I save a photo from Lr Mobile on my phone he uses this intelligent overview of 2 MB right? What did this to my original data and things like that.

    Hi Chrizly,

If the time that you synchronize the images of the Lr Mobile Lr Office, the original image will remain on your phone, but Lightroom will create smart image previews.

The data remains the same on your phone.

  • Resolved by restarting sound/mic in Adobe Connect failure

    Hello...

    HP p6620F

    Windows 7

For my work, I have to attend meetings in Acrobat Connect Pro by using sound and microphone. I use a Microsoft Lifechat headset/microphone. My sound & mic began to fail & problem was solved only by restarting my computer. The fix was to last a few hours at first, but began to take only about an hour. I work at home, customer service agent, and I count on my micro & sound. I'm having no problems at this stage of sound when you don't work - as listening to music or watching/hearing of YouTube videos.

My supervisors insist that my sound card needs to be replaced, but I did not; mine is integrated into the motherboard, apparently. I have a backup computer that I worked out during 2 days with my current helmet, and it worked fine. It is the family computer and I have to do my work computer to the height.

How can I fix without having to buy a new motherboard?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello tj777,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you are having problems with your audio cut on your HP Pavilion p6620f desktop PC and you need to get it repaired. There are some possibilities I can see that might cause this problem and so I would like to address all the.

The first is possible overheating of the computer. To ensure that this is not the case, I provide you with the HP support document: reduce the heat inside the PC to prevent overheating, who will guide you through the steps to solve a problem of overheating when it exist or prevent it from happening in the future.

The next possibility I see would be another process or application interfere with your audio files. Rule this out, I would like you to follow the steps in the HP Support document: Configuration using Microsoft System (Windows 7), which will guide you through the steps necessary to do what is called a clean boot. If the audio problem goes away after doing this then you most likely have a process or application causing your grief and you can use the 50/50 method to identify who it is. Simply reactivate the 50% of the process and see if it happens again if not you know that it is 50% and you can disable half of them and start to restrict the scope down. If it did not resume, you can do the same by the reactivation of the other 50% of the process. If it still does not start, then do the same thing on startup items until that refine you the guilty party.

For the next opportunity we will use the HP support document: use Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7) to restore your computer to a point in time where your audio worked correctly.

Then we'll install the Original Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, following the instructions I have provided below:

Step 1. Download and secure to your office the Original Realtek High Definition Audio Driver listed for your desktop HP Pavilion p6620f running Windows 7 64-bit.

    Step 2. Click Start

Step 3. Click on Control Panel

Step 4. Click on Device Manager

Step 5. Click on the sound and the game controllers

Step 6. Right click on your audio driver

    Step 7. Select uninstall

When you get invites you to remove the driver to do so.

Step 8. Double-click the Original Realtek High Definition Audio Driver I had you save to your desktop earlier and follow the instructions.

If none of the above works then we'll get a little more drastic to try to solve this problem by performing a backup and restore of your computer. Ince, this will put the computer to the original settings it will be either solve the problem or leave the possibility only left to be a hardware problem.

To back up your personal files to ensure that they are not lost, I am providing you with the HP support document: backup of files (Windows 7), which will guide you through the backup process files upwards.

CAVEAT! If you want to keep the e-mails or bookmarks/favorites that you want to save them as I do not think they are saved in the backup HP process.

Once you are sure that your files are backed up, upwards, please follow the HP Support document: performing a recovery of HP (Windows 7) system, which will provide you with the steps to recovering your computer to the factory State.

IMPORTANT - your staff of files such as libraries, personalization settings, user accounts and desktop themes are permanently deleted. The settings on the computer are returned for values by default (as it was when it came from the factory). All applications and software installed on the computer when it came from the factory are relocated, and their settings are reset to the default values. In addition, software, applications, programs, and everything you have installed or saved on the computer are deleted permanently.

Finally, if the software above fixes do not work then I would suggest that you install a new sound card. It is true that your current card is integrated into your motherboard, but that doesn't mean not you cannot install another if necessary. You can buy his cards are most computer repair shops on online and they are relatively easy to install. The steps should be provided when you buy the sound card and like I said are not difficult to install.

Please re-post if you still need additional support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a wonderful day!

If you do this, you must let your computer 24/7, be connected to the Internet and open your e-mail program. If you want to do this anyway, the link below will show you how do it. One thing I would say is that where it says to create a rule and change you it to check for all Messages, and that the rule for the people in your address book. Otherwise you will answer Spam as well and could end up in an infinite loop of rebounds.

Most of the servers of ISPs Internet/Mail to offer this service which would be a better choice.

  • Users/TEMP files after reboot

On our computer at home, we have 2 users (one for parents) and one for children.  Last week the parents has been logged, but when the Office started upward, some of my icons were missing (photos, my personal files, our whole family, AVG, etc..)  Even my desktop wallpaper has been just the background generic Vista instead of our family picture that is normally there.  In any case, after the search for the files, I found them, put them on my desk, restores photos and wallpaper, and then close it.  Bad news.  The next time I restarted the computer, my office of origin was back, less all the stuff I had moved to another office computer before stopping.  Fortunately, with my personal files, I had brains enough to copy and paste on the new office, as well as the others were still on the original.  But with my photos, it was taking so long to copy (because there is so much and so they take a lot of space) that I just cut and pasted, so these are now GONE!    Now searching on my original user, I see that they were all under the user/TEMP and for some reason, when the computer only once, he loaded under a temporary user.  When I closed it after moving my docs to this office, all changes made to this user were completely erased as well as my files and photos.  Is there a way to recover these files or they are lost forever?  Recovery programs can work to recover this data?

    Hi 5mama,

Unfortunately, there is no way in Windows to recover lost files. However, you can search the Internet if there is such a program. But these programs are reliable.
