Office Pro 8500 A910: settings is more standard for printing double-sided on Office Pro 8500 A910?
We always used standaard duplex until a few months after a update for the HP printer, now he can't keep remembering settings. I need to reset duplex printing before each printing. Very annoying. You can find it under: Preferences/options tab system/then the check mark to: printing to HP accessories.
Each print, I have set the printer for duplex printing. Is there another way? I've got MAC iOS 10.10. Greetings, Pauline
Hello @Jamieson,
First of all, I want to thank you for your answer!
I will try to follow your advice, step by step. : happy smiley:
Reset the power supply. Did not work.
Updates work automatically.
Gel and setting up the printer, did not work.
Only the utility disc repair disk permissions feature, I don't understand, sorry, not an expert...
But still I can print double-sided of my i-Phone in i - Pad! It's so weird. I'll ask my partner: wink smiley:
So I hope you know any sort well!

HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 more with Windows 8.1: failure to print double-sided
Hello
I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1 software and unfortunately can not print any document double face of any program. While I can easily print the documents double-sided on other computers running earlier versions of windows, it doesn't seem to be any option to do it at all on my laptop.
I see that this problem has been resolved with the older versions of windows, but solutions are not easy to follow in windows 8.1. Here are my stats from the printer and thanks a lot for your help!
printer: HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus
OS: Windows 8.1
Connected via wifi
Hi duneser,
I understand that you have a problem with duplexing in Windows 8.1. I'll try my best to help you solve this problem.
Because the printer print double-sided on the lower version of Windows, it may be the software and drivers installed on the Windows 8.1. I suggest to uninstall the printer software , then using the printer HP install wizard for Windows to install. This tool will search for the right software and drivers to install for your printer.
Once you have reinstalled here is a document for printing on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) with adjustment steps upwards and double-sided printing.
I hope this helps, let me know how it goes.
Thank you

HP Officejet Pro 8600 - the back of sheet 1 is empty on a PDF printed double-sided.
When printing double-sided pdfs of three pages or more, the following happens - first page prints on the front of the first sheet of paper, on the back of the sheet is empty. The second sheet has pages 2 and 3 and so on. When I print the same document on a laser printer - it prints well (first leaf has pages 1 and 2, etc.). When I print the exact same documents for Adobe Reader on my machine Windows 8, it prints very well. This happens with Adobe Acrobat or Adobe reader. Print the Word version of the documents works as advertised. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers of HP printer, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Acrobat Reader. Occurs with several documents from multiple sources.
Details-
HP Officejet Pro 8600 - latest version of the driver from the HP Web site
Adobe Acrobat - Version 11.0.04 (last updated)
Adobe Reader - Version 11.0.04
MAC OS X 10.8.5
Printer connected to the modem cable Arris TG862 via a Cat5 cable.
Mac connected to the network via Cat5
Laser printer direct connect for Mac with USB cable
Windows 8 machine connected via WiFi.
Any ideas?
Thank you very much
Paul A. Simpson
Hi Paul.
I have not found Adobe documents that might help you with this problem.
I have some other suggestions to offer. I'm glad that everything works.

I want enabled no border and return on the long edge, I got another printer installation. But on the 8610, I get the same dialog box and chose of ' keep this setting, and I will change it later ", but it does not allow me to have the two settings in this way.
I have some WONDERFUL NEWS!
The 8610 printer (and it was the printer 8600) replaces my HP
OfficeJet 9110, which I've owned for about a decade. My "existing" Linux computer cannot print on it. (I have a very old)
Version of CUPS and at the time I gave it - and I don't have a lot of time
-I have not been able to install a more recent version.) But, my most recent office
Computer Linux is a system of 20 of Fedora. (And, the goal is to have the most recent
Linux Desktop become my Linux after I get everything copied and
configured for it).Last week, I installed a new version of HPLIP on it. Is not only
It give me the ability to print in duplex/duplex, but it also prints
without borders!I am able to print without margins and double-sided printing, using half of the book
Once again!I'm happy with that resolved, now that I've installed marked HPLIP! :-D

HP 8630 OfficeJet Pro print double-sided on legal size paper
I just bought a HP OfficeJet Pro 8630 can I print successfully on each Board standard size paper and print on legal paper (from each drawer). I can print one side, but the driver seems not to allow the duplex legal communication.
I tried in all stores (I have read on the set 2 only for plain paper, but as I understand it, which applies only to the brilliant vs plain and not of different paper sizes). In any case, I put my legal paper in Tray 1 and set tray on shift, and the default for tray 2, which seems that it will be a good idea in the future, when we use envelopes, etc.
But... The problem that I'm having it is when I go to the printer properties dialog box, if I use duplex printing either on the long edge or short, the legal (and most other choices for paper sizes) have a yellow/triangle exclamation point icon and if I ignore the warning to resolve differences, which either don't let me out of the modal dialog box , or it will just print single-sided anyway.
I can't find someone else complain that duplex printing legal size does not work, it seems as it should be, but I am at a loss of the configuration of the printer to make it work. Any ideas? Success stories?
I use the latest firmware (FDP1CN1416AR, patch, version 0) and the driver (just downloaded, can't figure out how to get the actual number of installed version)
Thank you.
Hello
The duplex accessory does not support Legal paper size, it is an expected behavior.
You can perform manual duplex printing using Pages of print options to print the odd pages only, then replace the printed sheets and send other pages even only... the Pages of print options print job is under print options > Layout > advanced.
You can find the printer specifications below, check the duplexer column according to the specifications of paper output > paper sizes supported:

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand that you do not want to activate the option to duplex printing for your HP Officejet 8620 on your Mac running OS 10.6.

MacBook Pro: set double-sided printing by default for printing HP 8600 over Word
Can I set duplex printing default for Word on my MacBook Pro documents. ? I undertand how to set type for a docukment of words individual, but want to set as the default value for all the word - and all the documents. I can do this on my PC.
Hello
You can set as default on Mac as well, however that works very different from Windows.
First define the printing parameters for printing Double sided, then click the Presets menu and select 'Save the current settings as a preset' advance, completing the print job.
By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

Turn off double-sided Excel printing on Mac with HP office jet pro 8600
I see a lot of forums about this issue but no real solution.
I have a HP officejet Pro 8600. I used to have a small HP but never had this problem.
I agree that in word, you get the box to uncheck if you don't want to double-sided printing. BUT when in Excel, you don't get the same printer option and I can't find anywhere to stop printing double-sided to Excel. It's so boring.
Can anyone help please?
Thanks in advance
Hello
Please follow the steps below for dosed duplex printing:
Go to Excel, click the file menu and select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click Show details to see all the available parameters.
Click the Copies and Pages in the print dialog box.
Select layout from the drop-down.
Set the duplex option as Off
You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.
Kind regards

Best settings for print-to-pdf for news
Hello, can anyone recommend settings appropriate to use for printing in pdf format of newspaper clippings from a web browser? I archive items of information in PDF format sites, which I then use later for the two reading on PCs and laptops and print devices. Specifically, what standard pdf is better to use in this case? I plead mainly because the text in PDF files that I have done so far is much less smooth and hard to read I thought it would be when viewing on pc even with acrobat 10 smoothing turned on. It makes the right edge of letters seem to be cut off. Mind you, I am interested in the pdf to 86% (adjustment of the height); When I zoom to 100%, the text becomes smooth. And PDF files also seem very clear on my portable devices. My screen is 1920 x 1080.
See you soon
If it's a graphic, then a higher resolution would be useful. You should be able to tell if it's a chart zoomed out and checking the pixels. If you capture fonts, then they should look the same at any zoom. You can, of course, that the fonts are included. As a check on some of the questions, try the press or print settings to see if things improve. The other option is to go back and change the settings for a custom, but good form to start with one that look reasonable first - or at least compare some of the settings files. There are other problems of print resolution (the default 1200 dpi value is usually much more you need).
