OfficeJet 4630: scanning problem of wi - fi with Officejet 4630
The scanning process stop in the middle of the process with a message of "unable to communicate with the scanner. Check if the power is on... "(this is a translation of Italian language); After that, I'm no more able to scan anything a wi - fi connection.
The printer is connected wi - fi (I can ping and access configuration via http and the browser) and the printing process works well. I've updated everything I could: firmware and software. I tried to change some configuration of my router (a netgear wndr3700v3 with the latest firmware) and dump the windows firewall. 8.1 Windows is fully updated. Tried with another computer with the same OS and I have the same problem. The next week I call customer service, but I hope for faster assistance.

Yesterday, I solved the problem in a simple way. I put the printer with a fixed number of IP (e.g. 192.168.0.250) by using the printer via a browser configuration utility. After that, certainly in the router, I have assigned pre chosen IP number with address reservation function.
Now, it seems that the digitization of a wi - fi connection is working properly.

The HP scanning application is not compatible with Sierra, so you may experience problems.
Remove the HP scanning by moving it to the trash, then empty the trash.
Instead install HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed in the Applications folder:

If you experience additional problems, ensure that the latest version of the software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:

Finally, make sure that your drivers are up-to-date by clicking the Apple icon, select about this Mac and then press on software update.

Unable to SCAN on OSX 10.5 with HP OFFICEJET 5510xi
I could find no help on this topic by searching the forums and the support FAQ etc. I have recently been Mac and would like to be able to scan as well as print with my beautiful HP's Officejet 5510xi who told so well served through several years and XP and Vista. There is no solution that it prints very well, but I'm not able to scan. Another all-n-one printer or scanner drivers would work for me. I don't want to turn my Officejet to a Clipboard.

Scanning problem

However, what happens when you try to scan from Windows Fax and Scan?

Seems that you have connected the printer using Connectivity Bluetooth.Bluetooth is only for printing and scanning will not work. You will need to connect to the printer with the USB cable to analyze correctly.

Hello friends. Recently I came across the same problem identified by many with a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop 7520 with the Dell Wireless 1703 (Atheros chipset). After losing an entire afternoon and looking at forums and their complaints, I think that I found the solution to the problem (at least, here is running).
The laptop is connected to a router TP-Link TL-WR740N. The router is configured to run with a frequency of 20 or 40 MHz, making the switch automatically in the factory. The mobile card wireless driver is configured to work only with 20 MHz at the factory. But can be configured to work with two frequencies is adapted automatically. To do this, change the configuration (in Windows 7):
Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > network adapters > Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2,4 GHz) > click the Advanced tab > select 802.11n bandwidth. Change the value of Auto 20 MHz / 40 MHz.

My Playbook has huge performance problems when it comes to scrolling lists.
