OfficeJet 6600: is it possible to enlarge a scanned picture?

I have some pictures of 6 x 4 I've been scanning. But the analysis shows very small photos. Is there a way to keep the home but make them a little bigger?

I can't find the DPI settings anywhere

Hi @cgm707,

I understand that you wonder if you can enlarge a picture scanned with your HP Officejet 6600 on Mac OS X 10.10. I'm happy to help you!

You can try alternative methods of analysis within this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 scan driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a to iMac doesn't seem to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005.

Or, after the image is scanned and saved you can use a free image editor such as: The GNU Image Manipulation Program, to enlarge the photo.

I hope that answers your question and I thank you for posting!

With my Officejet pro 8600, there is no possibility to change the scanning resolution settings when you are working in the control panel of the printer (not present button to touch) when I want to scan to the computer, while in the manual it is mentioned that, after pressing the Document Type, it should be possible to reach the resolution to change the resolution of the scan setting. On the other hand, when the scan to a memory card the button change the resolution settings is present.

Sometimes for the scanning of all computers to select (winXP SP3 installed on it). The HP printing software is installed on all computers and manage digitization to the computer is turned on. It is possible to change the resolution settings when using my computer with the HP printing software, but as I said not in the use of the printer.

Thank you to help you solve the problem!

    Hey mk75053,

Scanning to memory card has the parameters of resolution through the front because that is the only way for the device perform this type of analysis.  However, to change the resolution settings for the Scan of the computer, one will have to perform scans through the software installed on the PC.

I have all three types of 8600 models where I am located (base, more high quality) and of all printers simply ask to start the analysis after selecting the scan type.

    I hope this helps.

I recently bought a new computer (window 10).  I tried to use my HP disc to download these printer programs but was unable to do that because I got a message that the disc did not support Windows 10.  Can you help guide to get the programs of HP that I could access and download to my new computer which would give me the possibility to print electronic and scanned documents and photos (not via the USB port)?

  • HP Officejet 6600 increase beyond 5 for the fax rings

    Hello

My client has an OfficeJet 6600. They share a phone and fax line. The rings maximum we can adjust the machine answer the fax is 5. If my client does not pick up the phone in time, the fax is there first (and this happens often).

The manual indicates the number of rings depends on the region (here in Belgium).

Is there an alternative means of information the rings to 8 for example? He found a way to do it with the Officejet 6500 on this forum, but it's another machine.

    Thank you!

@Bonobobob, sorry, there is no way to surpass the RINGS to ANSWER to the maximum numbers that is allow. Some printers have 6, as for you, it is 5. This is as far as possible.

  • "HP printer Assistant" for HP Officejet 6600 WON 'T run.

    Windows 7 64 bit

    NO error message

NO changes to the system until after it started then improved then just put update HP firmware

It worked yesterday.  When you have selected the "HP OfficeJet 6600" desktop on the desktop shortcut, he ran a sreen which allowed you to print, scan, fax, showed levels of ink, etc.

Now: he comes up with a window of 'Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers\HP Officejet 6600' that offers you 4 choices and the one that seems to offer printing/scanning, IE. "HP printer aSsistant"... which has no effect when you select.

IF you right click on "HP printer Assistant" on this screen, it gives you the possibility to make a shortcut.  The shortcut created and has properties where the 'target' is never developed so that you can not even say that he's not trying to run.

    Upgrading of the Roque?

    Hello world!

I called customer service and talked to a nice girl named Stephanie.  She was very helpful and tried exactly the same things I did the week last with the same results...  However, I decided to do another printer to the printer from my last more (410).

I sincerely advise guys to call directly, and your product is new, you will get a very good support and give advice on what to do.

We get a new printer and expect us it to work and HP understands that - simply call and your problems are more likely to be resolved here.

Guys good luck and I hope I never come back on this forum (I got a 2 year warranty on my new printer for $ 1)...

    Ciao!

  • OfficeJet 6600 does not recognize my new HP Pavilion windows 8.1 for scanning

I have a HP Officejet 6600 networking with my new HP Pavilion windows 8.1 it prints fine but does not recognize my computer when I want to scan. Whenever I want to scan a document to my computer I have to run Scan doctor. I called tech support and they can't help me because my printer is no longer under warranty as I bought it December 2012. but my office was purchased November 2013. They said that it is clearly a problem with the printer and not on the computer. They won't even talk to me or answer my questions without fees being paid first.  The scanner recognizes my laptop and desktop to the husband who have vista and 7, respectively. But I don't understand why it will print without difficulty and habit of scanning.

    Hi leila1964,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

I want to offer a helping hand with the 8.1 of Windows not scanning with your HP Officejet 6600. When you run the HP print and Dr. Scan on the computer it says it fixes some thing or that it cannot fix what whether?

Given that the printer works on the other two computers (Vista and 7), the problem is with the WIndows 8.1. I want to uninstall the printer software and the HP printer install wizard makes sure that we get the newest software possible.

Let me know how it works.

    Thank you

  • printer connect to MS Word on officejet 6600

I have a document in my MS Word 2007 screen, select printing action, select HP officejet 6600. system gets yhr printer then... does not print the document in the same way that other printers, but instead displays a screen offering options to print fax cover pages, etc.?

    DeltaDave,

    Welcome to the HP form.

This may be a simplification of your problem, so bear with me.

When you install a multifunction printer, you will often get a couple of "printers" in the list that appears when you select your printer.  One would expect to see the main printer as the default, but if you have selected this printer as the default printer, you can see the fax, a Note, another printer... something you don't expect.  The printer of your choice can be in the drop-down list.

Check if your printer is the default printer for the system.  In windows, Windows 7 and before, it is in devices and printers (from the Control Panel, if you wish).  Right click on the printer - such as the default value.

I use no more Word 2007, Word 2010 is not a selection of printer control in the Options.  You can check to see if there's something hinky (incorrect) in your Word Options (possibly Adavnaced section).

One last thing: If you have not installed the software of full functionality for this printer, it can not easily be driven from the computer.

    Hi @TallPaul1,

Since you seem to be able to print from other programs, I think that the question has something to do with Adobe. Maybe you will find the following article, I found the site useful adobe: PDF print troubleshoot | Acrobat, Reader.

If the problem persists, it may be preferable for you to reach the Adobe community.

  • Starting with HP Officejet 6600 and cannot change the page size

    Hello

You have just purchased HP Officejet 6600 all-in-in-one and found that there not a duplexer, which is very very annoying! However, if I can just change the paper size, I can live with the disadvantage to the paper.  I have a Word document that is the flyer for our company, a document A4 which must be printed on A5 paper.  Old Canon printer I could make the A4 as an A5, but now I can't.

Hope I explained the correct problem and the TIA for help.

In my copy of Word 2007, I am able to evolve in A5 paper.

Be sure to select A5 in 6600 preferences.

  • OfficeJet 6600 connects to the wifi network

    Hello

I bought an Officejet 6600 and effortlessly connected to my wifi network, print and scan for a day. And there are two days that he stopped conntecting to the wifi network. In the meantime, our router turned off and turned back on. That's the only difference.

First of all, the printer would not even detect the wifi network. I solved that by changing the configuration of the router (Cisco 3925 EPC) and passed under the Setup wireless "Wi - Fi protected setup" to "manual". I can now see the network on the printer again.

But after that I've selected my wifi network and enter the WPA password, the printer tells me that the network connection is impossible. I printed a page of diagnosis, which told me that the problem is perhaps related to the MAC filter. But I have no MAC filters. I also tried to pass of WPA/WPA2 to WPA only, but that doesn't change anything.

I also tried to set the mode wireless via the USB cable, but no avail. Everything seems to work, until the moment when he tries to connect to the wifi (screen with 'configuration' with the large antenna and pulses of radio waves).

Should I give up and bring it to the store? I'm getting desperate!

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Raphaël

OK, to make sure I understand - the printer connects effectively to your wireless network, and well it works for a while once the printer goes to sleep, your computer or router may not wake.

If this is the case there are a few things that we can try:

    1. in the settings of your router, make sure that the multicast is enabled.

    2. set the 2.4 GHz router to 11 channels.  I know it sounds weird, but please try.

    3. set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.
