OfficeJet 6600 locked out.

I would like to restore a wireless link, but I'm locked in the wireless configuration. How to get it unlocked?

Yes, resetting clears the return to the default settings, but should allow access to all menus on the printer control panel.

I just bought this printer for my office a week ago, and has put in place for the wireless network, everything worked very well.  Over the weekend, it seems he dropped the Wi - Fi connection and when I went to restore it, I am locked out most of the settings and said that the administrator (me) locked their (no) when it was put in place.

I plugged in an ethernet cable and I am still not able to enter the web page of the printer to access these settings.  On ethernet, I cannot ping the device from any other computer on the network.  How can I obtain this lock out of here? I'm almost ready to return this thing, it's ridiculous.

  • Portable printer HP Officejet 6600: need of digitization program

I bought my printer HP Officejet 6600 in January 2013.  I've installed all the programs on my old computer (Windows Vista). With the installation, I was able to print electronically, and there is a stock of Scanner program that allowed me to scan a Document or Photo to my computer. I recently bought a new computer (window 10).  I tried to use my HP disc to download these printer programs but was unable to do that because I got a message that the disc did not support Windows 10.  Can you help guide to get the programs of HP that I could access and download to my new computer which would give me the possibility to print electronic and scanned documents and photos (not via the USB port)?

Why don't you just download the software Win 10 out of the HP web site for your printer. A simple search returns... http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-OfficeJet-6600-e-all-in-one-printer-series---H7/4322968/model/4323587

  • OfficeJet 6600: Failure of printer, no error code

Down printer, no code error.  Tried troubleshooting tips; Reset no has not worked and cleaning of copper on the ink cartridges, not working anymore.   Printer 3 years so out of warranty.   This printer is in a holiday home and I remove the cartridges in the winter.  Is this a problem?  Is there anything else to try, or do I need a new printer?  Tried to submit the form to contact HP 3 times for nothing helped... the site could use improvement.

Remove the cartridges to store the printer for the winter is a major problem - which cause the printhead not replaceable to dry out, leaving probably clogged ink residues.  In the future if you have a printer with separate ink supply and print (like the Officejet 6600) heads the cartrdiges never be removed from the printer for more than thirty minutes at a time, and the printer should never be put off with the cartridges removed.

The following may help recover the printhead (maybe 10% chance).  Turn on the printer, remove the cartrdiges impression and drip hot water on the screens on the print head which would connect the ink cartridges.  I put about 3 to 5 drops in each screen.  Let it sit for a few minutes, then replace the ink cartridges.  Run three cleaning cycles in quick succession the façade or the Toolbox.  Is there an ink at all on the page?  If yes let the printer sit overnight, then repeat the process.

  • OfficeJet 6600: officejet 6600 will not be installed

I have a computer that is running Windows 7 (updated) with a 6600 Officejet attached via the USB port. It worked fine for 3 years, BUT I had to reinstall the printer 7 times in the last 2 weeks. When I turn off the computer at night and turn on the next morning and I begin to print something, I get "no printer installed." It SEEMS to make no difference if I turn the printer off or leave it on when I shut down the computer.

  • HP Officejet 6600 print wireless help

Attempt to try to solve my HP Officejet 6600 to print wirelessly on my network and I tried just about everything I could think of (including the rattling of my printer on the network to see if they are on the same network, they are) and my printer still does not recognize any signal from my computer trying to get a print of my computer job. I have already confirmed that my printer working via a USB cable, but I wish I could put my printer to another room, connected to a power source and be able to print to it outside of my network, but not luck so far. Can someone help with this problem?

My OS is Windows 7 Edition Home Premium SP1, if this is useful.

    Review of my last post...

Wow, regardless of the Printer Spooler service has been, which seems to have done the trick. Also went and made a new WiFi printer (when the USB cable is installed), and it was labeled differently. Somewhere in one of the configuration menus had something on this subject (assuming it's a hostname?) It said HPB96E1W (HP Officejet 6600). It was also the name of the printer that appeared when I installed it as wireless under printers and faxes. When I did as just a USB connected printer, it appears just as "HP Officejet 6600". Maybe a problem of labelling or something to do with the Printer Spooler service? No idea honestly but the printer works now move it to another part of the House as long as it captures my wireless signal. This problem is completely resolved, and I have also 2 different connections to work with incase I ever spend my printer back near my computer. Thanks to all who have posted in this thread with ideas help, much appreciated. Moderators or anyone who may lock this thread if they wish. I'll post another thread one day if I have problems with the printer again.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8620: OfficeJet Pro locked 8620

He was always hit or miss if my printer (especially scanning capabilities) will work on any given day. Today, I tried messing around with all sorts of things that he can work and seem to have only made worse.

Now I'm completely locked out of making changes. When I try to access the network configuration I get the message: "integrated network of capacities have been disabled. Contact your administrator or the person who set up the printer. I set up the printer and have no idea what to do.

I tried to restore the default values, but received a similar message. "The service has been locked by your administrator.

I uninstalled the drivers and when trying to re - install is simply not connected to the printer.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    1. On the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.
    2. Click on the gear icon.
    3. Scroll down to and then click on print the Wireless Test status.

A page should print with a few lines that say Pass or fail in the end let me know if something breaks down and what the Signal strength is listed as. Once I know what I'll be better able to help you.

  • HP Officejet 6600: problem with the printer or ink system

I have a HP Officejet 6600. I replaced the black cartridge with a new HP black ink cartridge. This message keeps poping up, there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. It gives me as two solutions. Solution 1: Reset the product. Turn the product off, and then unplug the power cord. Plug in the power cord and then press the key to activate the product. I've done this three times. Second solution: contact HP support note the error code provided in the email (I looked and it does not give me one) then he says, supported to contact Hp. go to: www.hp.com/support. Needless to say that this message keeps appearing on the screen of the printer and I can't do anything with the printer. Can anyone help with an idea? Please, I beg you.

    Hey @popcorn101,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you get the error "printer failure: there is a problem with the printer or ink system' on the front panel of your HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer.". Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you received before reaching out for support, including. Right now, you have completed all the troubleshooting steps available in your efforts to solve this error in accordance with the document of support here. The failure itself is probably due to a failure of the print head. The print head is the part that the cartridges will fit. It controls the "reading" of the cartridges and put the ink on the page. If the print head does not, then the printing within your product system has failed. In this model of printer print head is a non-replaceable. Therefore, the resolution is a replacement of the entire unit.

This occurs due to malware or other non legitimate software on your PC, please follow the following steps to resolve this problem:

    1. From the control panel > uninstall a program. search for the following keywords:
Bandoo, IAC, APN, SweetIM, iLivid, Ask Toolbar, SweetIM, Appshat, movies Toolbar and remove any existing result.
    2. Restart your PC and go to the Device Manager, check if these instances can now be uninstalled.
    3. Click the view menu and select Show hidden devices and then continue to search for and remove the printer from the printers / print queues / imaging devices / multifunction adapters / other devices.
    4. type % temp % of the start menu search bar. Open the temp folder, and then open the most recent installation folder that begins with 7z, then open the Utils folder.

    5. Go 2 folders back to the 7z folder and locate the MSI Setup file:

  • OfficeJet 6600 Windows 8 blank page

    Hi guys,.

I had to buy a new desktop computer. I had Windows 8 in there. I downloaded the program from Windows 8 for the OfficeJet 6600. The problem is that a blank page spit after printing a document.

I checked the settings and the separator page is empty. This means that it is not set for a separator page and none should come out right?

It was perfect with Windows XP. I HATE Windows 8! It's totally lame! If I had known how Windows 8 was that I would have NEVER bought this piece of junk!

    Hello quartertec,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have a problem with the printer printing blank pages.

I have a few steps we can try to solve this problem.

First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

I suggest that we start from the beginning.  Please, remove the usb cable from the printer and the computer and disconnected until further notice the cable.

Please click on the following link for uninstall the printer software.  Once the software and the printer driver has been removed, restart your computer.

When the computer is back, please click the following link for HP Officejet full feature and driver software.

The installation will prompt you as to when to reconnect the usb cable.

If you still have questions or if you have any other questions, feel free to write me again.

    See you soon,.
