OfficeJet 6700 cut my scan when sending to the Cougar 10.8

I just got a new mac with mountain lion 10.8 and when scanning the glass my scanner (or mac) cut the scan into small pieces and many scans. any suggestions?

Change the scanning settings to not crop the area swept as follows:
1 open the HP utility and select your device.
2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
3. click on the tab "scan tasks.
4. Select the shortcut Scan allows to analyze, and then click on edit.
5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle or button view details to expand the menu.
6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop down next to cultures in and set as none.
7. click OK and try to scan.

In addition, if you are using Windows, please indicate if your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

    Mac OS X: how to find which Mac OS X Version is on my computer?
    Operating system Windows am I running?
    Is the Version of Windows on my computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

    Also, do you have questions by making a copy as opposed to an impression?

  • OfficeJet 6700: ADF works only when you scan not copy

    Our officejet 6700 has an irrational problem - will take the ADF and scanning a document using the pc without problem, but if load you something using the function copy on the machine itself, he acknowledges that he is a responsible original, you hit copy and is not feeding the sheet through and copy from scratch!

    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are not able to use the ADF on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium to make Copies, but you can use it to perform a scan.

    I would like you to do a hard reset:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup because they can cause the printer to lose over time basic functionality).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward. If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

    Running Windows 8.1 on my OfficeJet 6700 Premium AIO H711n fails to print the date and time on the historic report of the fax.  I need this information to check the box of cylinder head of the fax the documents have been sent.

    I did not the 6700 but on another machine, I had to 'reset', time and date in the printers preferences.

    If you haven't done it yet, go to Settings/preferences/time and Date on the All in One printer set up (once again if necessary).

    IF your machine does not have the time / date on the history report, it includes it in the Confirmation page?

    I've been using Muse for a little over a year now, I've designed websites and uploaded to the FTP host with ease. Now from the other day after I updated Muse I got the following error message when sending to the FTP host:

    "Adobe Muse CC has encountered an error and will now close. «Please report the last actions little taken you to this error to Adobe Muse CC team p incompatible a number of children through breakpoints within text U1019»

    ... before transferring the update of Web site design that I had done a lot of design changes and not exactly what change would have made that mistake! I am so frustrated, I must have this site updated as soon as POSSIBLE. Let me know what can be done to have this problem. Thank you!

    I ended up solving the problem! So grateful, I was able to search deeper in the other positions on the issue and found a similar situation and how it was fixed. I fixed it by copying text in text boxes, the removal of the text box and copy text in new text boxes. Thanks for having this forum available for questions and answers for the Adobe programs!

  • OfficeJet 6700: HP Officejet 6700 don't scan

    When I originally you have this printer it scanned just fine. Now something has changed...

    When I try to scan to my computer, both by means of scanning HP or printers scan option, I get an error saying:

    "The operation could not be completed. (com.hp.scanhandler.error error 2.) "and analysis.

    I went to the HP utility under "Scan to Computer" activate scan to the computer box is greyed out and I can't click on it! There is a red icon with a message that says:

    "Scan of the computer can not be activated: software HP required for the Scan of the computer could not be located on this computer." Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device to http://www.hp.com/support and then try again. »

    so... I went to the place provided, found my printer specific and downloaded the software, making sure to select the Scanner option in the download softward options when you open the file. Downloaded fine and I had problems again and again of the process.

    I unplugged the printer, plugged back in and press the small icon at the top left that looks like a paper with a ' * ' above it, which began some download/update that I let run along the. This way one once I tried agai, and all the same problems.

    How can I fix it! I need to scan a document and I don't have a usb at your fingertips. I did a computer clean up a few months ago and may have removed hp mistakenly utility because it wasn't a request before you start the troubleshooting and downloaded again. But it is now downloaded. The printer prints fine when I send documents to him and I can log on and watch the status of th of my laptop. How is it difficult to analyse just a * beep * file!

    I understand that you are having problems when you try to scan from your HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one printer to your computer Mac OS X 10.10. I would like to help you today with this problem of scan. At this point, it sounds like there is still a driver or software conflicts between your Mac and your HP Officejet. This conflict may be due to a problem within your Mac operating system to the actual address. Can I please you follow the steps below to correct all these conflicts.

    Step 1: Resetting the printing system:

    To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac because it is important that we have a pleasure to work with for troubleshooting clean slate. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under "Reset printing in OS X Lion system." This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Officejet back in right now.

    Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:

    Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the drop down menu 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9' and follow the steps to complete uninstallation.

    Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.

    Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

    Step 4: Check the Apple updates: 

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Computer restart

    Step 5: Reinstall your software and drivers: 

    Finally, please click here to download the latest drivers for your HP Officejet. Once the download is complete, please follow the instructions on the screen to install your printer.

    Once your HP Officejet has successfully installed please try to scan the image.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: PDF scans too large

    I'm trying to scan a document full page 8.5 x 11 but when the PDF file is opened I see only 1/4 of the page. I don't see a way to change the size of the analysis under the set up menu on the printer or the printer on my control panel settings

    Open the HP Officejet 6700 software from the desktop or start > programs > HP > HP Officejet 6700.

    Select scan a Document or Photo, and select Save as PDF.

    In the right pane, you can change the size of letter paper.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: HP Officejet 6700 Premium - Wireless scanning problem

    We cannot get the scan wireless to work. Everything works fine when we connect with USB cable. Any suggestions?

    -J' use Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

    -J' tried to reset/upgrade to firmware update.

    -J' tried to reset the printers Mac, delete, add again.

    -I choose Officejet 6700, not AirPrint.

    It turns out, the problem was with our router. Even if we can connect to other printers on this router, we couldn't connect to HP 6700. Switching routers helped.

    I can't fax from my Mac Book.   I can print correctly, my Fax test on the printer report shows all past, but when I try the MacBook fax using the print driver, I get an error of tone number.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: HP6700 Scan of the computer

    Wasn't able to scan to the computer.  Follow the instructions in the Help Guide.  Under all programs select stock Scanner, double-click on handle scanning to computer and then click Activate.  I don't have those options available in the HP printer folder.

    I reinstalled the software and still do not have these options.  The only way I can turn on the scan of the computer is the installation of the printer software.

    Thank you, downloaded the software according to your instructions and installed.  I now manage scan computer option in the HP folder.

  • OfficeJet 6500: Fax appears not when you add the printer with El Capitan

    I've just upgraded to El Capitan.  I have a 6500 Officejet and Officejet 6700 on the network and that you can print on both but fax is not working.

    I tried to delete faxes from the Printers & Scanners window in the settings, but when I try to add more once they are not appearing in the list.  When I click on add everything I see is the following:

    It should be an option fax for two (well I want that the created such as 6700 6500 is not connected to a phone line).  Anything I can try to get the Fax option to appear so that I can set up the Fax network (the printer is in a different area of the building so my work around printing and then manually fax is a pain - unfortunately, one of our main suppliers insists on faxes and will not accept orders by email if I need this to work!)

    By the way I tried selecting the 6500 in the list and then change the print to fax driver driver in the area of USE, but the printer is not sending it by fax - print only a few pages of garbage.

    Any help would be great because I find it very frustrating.  Also, I have another Mac with Yosomite on which has the same problem, so I don't think it's specific to El Capitan (but mine was working when I got Yosomite, but I installed the printer/fax under an earlier version originally).

    Try to update the software by following these steps:

    First of all make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

    Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
    Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

    Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

    If it persists, try manually install the package below:
    http://support.Apple.com/kb/dl907

    Search for now no difference.

    Note that it may take up to a minute for the Fax queue to appear.

  • Muse crashing when sending to the site Business Catalyst or Preview - Error #1034

    I'm working on adding via HTML & Wistia videos on a site of Muse. Everything worked well for testing (3 videos of 7) locations. I was able to listen to samples and download on BusinessCatalyst with everything works fine. Once I added the rest of the videos, I started to get the following error when I try to get an overview of the site or to download on BusinessCatalyst.

    I tried to go back and remove the 4 extra videos added and video version 3 started giving me the same error.

    What the problem could be the ideas? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to any discussion.

    Here is the full error:

    Coercion failed: cannot convert

    flashx.textLayout.elements::ListElement@7fff2d05661 to

    flashx.textLayout.elements.ParagraphElement.

    This error is triggered by a ball or a numbered list in a text frame where the internal structure of the list, while valid, is to form the export code is not expected.

    If your site is relatively small, the fastest workaround is likely to use file > Preview Page in the browser to determine what page contains the list of issues. Once you have found, convert every list on this page in plain text, and then again in a list. (The creation of list code creates the structure of export is expected.) Some beyond change, which was made after the list existed resulted in a structure the export code didn't know how to handle. We are still working to understand what this edit is so we can fix the root cause of this error.)

    If your site is larger, it may be more practical to send us the file and we can use development tools to find and difficulty of the issues list and you will receive the file.   • HP OfficeJet 6700 Premium - How can I turn / adjust the automatic scanning of culture?

    How turn on, turn off or set automatic cropping on my scanner?

    I keep getting picture errors when you try to scan a check to deposit into my car. Instead, the verification is automatically cropped I find I have to do it manually (as much as possible of the eye). I think that this manual effort contributes to mistakes of image, but maybe not. Previously, I had an AIO Photosmart C7280 printer and never had this problem.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I am told that the 6700 does not have the feature to automatically crop. Therefore, I use the custom function has been suggested earlier in this thread. I got used to it and it works fine. Next time, I'll make sure the printer I buy crop themselves automatically. I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium - only scan wireless

    Hello

    My new printer is connected wireless to my network.  It prints very well.

    It will NOT scan ontop my computer unless I physically connect it with a usb cord.

    I tried to go to the HP utility folder to confirm the scan settings are on, but it's not going to show me this icon (when connected wireless).

    If I am connected via the USB cord settings scan icon and it is indeed turned on.

    I am betting that McAfee is the source of the problem.  Disable McAfee and see what happens.

  • OfficeJet 4500: Capture and scanning Hp cannot find the device

    I can print on my printer without a problem, but when I tried to run Capture and scanning HP, he invited to select a device and then could not find it. I even entered the IP address and it says that no device was found.

    When I ran everything in a remote printer, it says the printer status is unknown.

    If you want to use HP app scanning and Capture, you must upgrade to Windows 10. In addition, scan windows is also not compatible with Windows 8.1, so this will not work.
