  I found the following on page 110 of the manual.

  Set the date and time

  You can set the date and time of the control panel. When a fax is sent, the

  current date and time are printed and fax header. The date and time format is

  based on the language and the country/region setting.

  Note

  If your HP all-in-one loses power, you need to reset the date and time.

  1 press

  The installation program.

  2 press

  4, then press 1.

  This will display the

  Fax basic setup, then selects Date and time.

  3. Enter the month, day, and year by pressing the appropriate number of the

  numeric keypad. Depending on your country/region setting, you can enter the date in a

  different order.

  Underscore cursor is given initially under the first digit; It automatically

  advances to the next digit when you press a button. The time automatically prompts

  appears after you enter the last digit of the date.

  4. Enter the hours and minutes.

  If your time is displayed in 12-hour format, the

  AM or PM prompt automatically

  appears after you enter the last digit.

  1 AM or 2 for PM.

  The new date and time appear on the display color graphics.

  Question: When HP is trying to update the printing software, update process error message: SolutionCenter.msi not in C:\Users\TEST\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS1628\setup\SolutionCenter\ with the browse option.

  Update ends when the Setup CD is inserted and "localized" to it.
  

  To avoid digging the CD every time, I copied all the CD in a folder, HP install on the computer.   BTW, no SolutionCenter.msi is not found after you have copied in HP install.

  When the update process starts later and I navigate to the folder, HP install, same error message.

  Please provide a work around so SolutionCenter.msi (and other files) can be found on the computer and the update process completes successfully without resorting to inserting the CD.

I am able to use the printer, but the solution center software does not work.

  I understand that you have an Officejet 7410xi you are trying to install on a Windows 8.1 machine. I'll do my best to explain why you have struggled to do.

  The information below has been taken/re-worded another post I made myself which you can access by clicking here if you want to see it as well.

  In doing my research and consultation with a few colleagues, I found a few interesting regarding the software for your printer with Windows 8.1. Printer for Windows 8.1 software was released in October of 2012 so that Windows 8 was in Beta phase (which means that he had not been fully released yet as they were being tested it). The driver has not been updated since then (and will very probably not be updated). Most of the things for Windows 8 work fine on the 8.1 but as you can see in this case, it will not work and I do not think it will be. Essentially, it's like trying to put a 1970s car engine in a car of 2010. It might work for a bit, but the chances of getting up to now are slim.

  At this point, I recommend upgrading your printer. If you want to stay with HP, you can call the HP Technical Support for your area and inquire about trade and commerce program.

  I hope that this answers why you were not able to get things to work right. My apologies if it wasn't the answer you are looking for, but hopefully it helps you decide what to do from here.

  I am running OS X Sierra on 2012 MBA with an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer / scanner.

  I noticed that after the upgrade to Sierra that the scan function no longer works... I tried to uninstall / reinstall the device, but the problem continues... I have checked the Apple Web site and notice that the HP OfficeJet 8600 is listed as a compatible scanner.

  I note also that the 8600 OfficeJet is connected as a printer via WiFi network and worked perfectly with the captain.

  responsibility to provide drivers to work for an update of the OS is with the developer of this device, not Apple. visit the page of the developer for your make and model camera and see if they offer drivers, otherwise contact the developers. Apple will sometimes provide printer drivers, but if a device is a legacy printer the developer may choose to retire it from use.

  It's the HP drivers and software that will allow you to scan over network. Or if NOT, maybe... often scanning on network is problematic.
