OfficeJet 8600 installation of tray for two papers different document...

OfficeJet Pro 8600 with trays 1 & 2 Premium.

Windows XP SP3

I own a dental practice. I bought this printer to reduce the number of printers in my office. My dental management software allows me to designate the printers that I use to view reports and presecriptions. The reports are on plain paper. Presecriptions, however, must be printed on a special paper New York. I was hoping that I could load trays 1 and 2 with the various documents and be able to print specifically for each tray. Is there a way to maybe, create two different printer selections in the "printers and faxes" in windows, indicating a specific set of printer properties? Example: One called "RxPrint8600" and called a "reports8600." My hope is that I can automate this so I don't have to select what tray I use whenever I want to print something or another. A setting with tray 1 selected, another setting with tray 2 selected. Is this possible? Thank you!

Thanks for the reply. I tried to install twice on the same machine, but encountered an error somewhere along the way and could not seem to create duplicates of the drivers on the same machine. Instead, I solved my problem by installing the drivers on two different computers in my office network and then share with two names uniqe. Two printer drivers shared that results could then releases to other computers in the office, setting each pilot of the shared printer to use two diferent sets available. It worked for me and my office put in place. Thank you!

Should I delete the old printer (Photosmart Prem 410) software before installing the software for the new printer (() fficejet 8600 Premium) or the installation process that will?

    Hello D-B,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you're wondering to remove the Photosmart Premium, before installing your new premium 8600 Officejet. It's your preference if you wish to remove this software. Personally, if you do not use this software, then you must delete it. You are able to have more than one HP printer on your computer, it will not come into conflict.

What is your operating system on your computer? Windows.

I'll give you the instructions how to uninstall the software if you decide to go this route. Please follow this HP document here.

    Please post your results.

To start sounds like it is a driver problem. I want to start to be sure that deleting the software and relocation happened in the best way possible. I want you to follow my steps, I can be sure that we start both on the same page.

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

In the menu START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl + A, and press DELETE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

  • 'the Setup installs devices' worked for two days now...

recently reformat the hard drive and I'm trying to reinstall windows by using the oem disks that I created after the purchase of this pc. Installation happens to the devices screen and sits there. the system seems to work because I see the "heartbeat" on the screen. The first time that this has happened, I turn it off after two days, and after some research, I discovered that I had left my camera dock connected. The second time, I ran the installation I still have the same problem. It is on this screen yesterday at 06:00. I'm going to run until I get some kind of answer about it.

After many frustrating attempts, I replaced my hard drive. It was defective. New hard drive and installed it the first time. Hope this helps you.

  • OfficeJet 8600 Premium: How to print legal letter size documents to computer?

    HI -.

I have a premium of 8600 OfficeJet with the second option of the status bar. I have legal paper in the Tray 1 (top) and letter paper in tray 2 (bottom). I have tray lock on tray 1 and tray default tray 2 value.

I have a short page I want to print as a letter, but when I print it prints on legal paper. How to print on the letter (8.5 "x 11") instead of the legal?

    Thank you

    Steve

I thought about it while reading the other messages.

For some reason, my 2nd tray has been deactivated, even though I had recently allowed him. To allow him to spend

System Preferences-> printers and Scanners->-> entry optional feeder supplies and Options and select it.

Well... It fixed a few minutes ago. I just opened this window to type this solution and I see everytime I open the preferences system that is deselected again. I just selected (enabled) it five minutes ago.

  • HP Officejet Pro - second paper tray 8600

My Officejet Pro 8500 Premium printer no longer works. Bought a new printer Officejet Pro 8600, the basic version. Is it possible to reuse the 8500 second tray paper on my new printer?

I can't say with certainty, but a couple of data points suggest 'no ':

    • The part number for the 8600 Officejet and Officejet 8500 extra paper tray are different.  The Officejet 8600 extra paper tray is the CN548A, the 8500 is CM759A.
    • I have a 8600 Officejet with the additional target bonus and an Officejet 8500 has without the tray extray.  I tried to put the tray on the 8500 a 8600 and it didn't fit.

Where can I buy replacement bins to printer OfficeJet 8600 Pro Plus paper?

I'm looking NOT for the paper to Add on tray, but a replacement for the main tray. Mix us different types of paper and envelopes in and out of the state bar throughout the day, and instead, we would like to keep several loaded additional bins of specialized paper to reduce the wear on the main plate.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more paper tray will not go

[In the case of a post to repeat it is because I could not tell for sure one was actually published.]

Product name: HP Officejet Pro 8600 more. OS is Windows 7

First of all, I saw many possible solutions in Google search, and many of them related to the HP printers support blogs and none of them have worked for me.

Like so many others, the problem started with my change drawer to manage envilopes. Many worked, but now the drawer don't go all the way - it stops at 9/16 inch short to be completely closed.

I adjusted and readjusted the tray for legal size.

I shook the left and right drawer closing.

I removed all the paper and two sizing medium frame settings.

I checked the track inside and the slider on the status bar and see no obstacles.

I raised and lowered the ramp at the end; It lowers at the beginning of the slide.

By pulling the drawer I found a slight resistance during his visit to the position of 1 inch.

I slipped the paper-stop in and out and it positioned perfectly.

I cycle powered by the printer.

I can't help but think there must be simple somethinbg behind it all. Maybe a bit of lubricant in the mechanism?

    Help, please.

I was right - something simple. Me. It seemed that the ferry was going all the way because of the gap between the drawer and the housing. I thought it was a problem because I have sent to the printer of things would not print. I still don't know why, but it seemed to be a problem with the mechanical - 'print' in applications is dimmed. But now everything seems to be in order. My apologies to those who have spent the time thinking about my 'problem'...

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Part number for second paper for Officejet Pro 8620 tray?

I'll try to find the good second tray paper for this printer.

Some documents quote Ref CN548A HP and others quote A8Z70A. The two look alike, and both refers to the range of 8600.

I bought the CN548A and 'almost' fits, it doesn't seem to work

    Anyone able to help?

    Thank you

    Hello @petertow,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you with the correct information for the second paper for your HP Officejet Pro 8620 tray accessory e-all-in-one printer location today.

    • Good reference for the paper tray number is: A8Z70A

The CN548A paper tray is only for the printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. The Officejet 8600 series came out before the HP Officejet 8620 and the 8630 printers series. Therefore, the tray is not universal.

I wish you good luck going forward with this!

  • OfficeJet 8600 more: power cord with adapter for Officejet 8600 set more lost

Lost my power cord complete with adapter. Can I use a power cord generic Office Depot, without the 'square' on the wire? Or is it necessary to have the power cord with the adapter, as it was originally? It will damage my 8600 more to use a power cord without this "square" in the annex on my more than 8600 all-in-One? Thank you.

    Hello @DB2,

I understand that you have lost the power cord for your HP Officejet Pro 8600 more e-all-in-one printer and you want to replace it. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. The HP Officejet 8600 more only comes with a power cord. The adapter is built into the back of your printer. You have to unscrew the back of your machine in order to access it. Therefore, if you buy a spare power cord it should work perfectly for you.

The power requirements for this machine are:

    • Power: Universal power adapter (external)
    • Power consumption: Input voltage: 100 to 240 VAC (± 10%), 50/60 Hz (± 3 Hz)

    Output voltage: + 32V / + 12V to 1095 mA/170 my

    • Consumption: 30 watt impression (project Quick Mode); 32 watts copy (Fast draft Mode)

You can buy a power cable of the store to use with your printer, or you can contact our Technical Support queue and buy the correct power cord for your printer by phone.

Check the IP address in the Wi - Fi or Ethernet connection.

  • Initial installation of the HP OfficeJet 8600 problem

I tried to install my new HP OfficeJet 8600.  But it keeps looping of the animation of ink cartridge over and over and over and over and over.  I inserted and reinsert the cartridges several times.  I even removed and then reinserted the ink transporting mechanism, but no luck.  I got no error message, just looping nonstop video animation of introduction on how to insert the ink cartridges.

Is it possible to go beyond that, so I can finalize the configuration to the top?  Or do I me pack up and return it to the store?

Unfortunately that has never worked. I chatted with HP and concluded that it was a hardware malfunction, so I sent back a new and have not had a problem since
