  Have you used the Atheros WLan or Intel WLan card?
  As far as I know if you unit has an Atheros WLan card you should always use the Atheros Client Utility to connect to some networks.
  In this case, the option use Windows to configure my wireless network must be disabled. If you the Intel card this option must be checked.

  When I start my pc, I don't see the initial start up screen (where you see the pc that runs through the quotes - before loading windows) - I wanted to install a card from the PCI (replacing the edge - but can not access the splash screens to turn off the sound of the OB) - is there a problem with my pc? or how to get back this splash screen?

• My HP 8500 Wireless printer does not see my wireless network.

  Using my wireless HP8500 printer, I am unable to see my wireless network.  I recently bought a Linksys EA6500 router and this is when the change occurred.  I am Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop and desktop.  Does anyone have suggestions on what to do?  the printer is able to see other networks in the vicinity, but not mine.  My Network works fine with all my other devices.

  I don't know what is happening here.  Cisco routers are usually pretty good at this stuff.

  That is, you can run Ethernet (Cat5) that should work and avoids all the problems wireless.  Your ipad/iphone will not worry how the printer is connected as long as the router can communicate with it.

  Once you connect the printer to the router with Ethernet, we will set an IP address of the printer:
  
  -Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
  -Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
  -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
  -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
  -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
  -Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
  -Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
  -Click 'apply '.
  
  Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  Try this on an iPhone. No matter which even with other iOS.

  Tap settings > general > reset > reset network settings

  You will need to enter the password for Wi - Fi.

• NB100 - see network wireless, but unable to connect

  My girlfriend has removed the Atheros driver on his NB100. I just reinstalled the driver of this forum and the wireless icon is back in the lower right. I however still unable to connect to wireless internet and am use to operate the wireframe.

  Thank you for your message.  Check with your D-Link documentation and settings to make sure that the SSID broadcast has not been disabled.  This would prevent you from being able to see the wireless network.  Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  OS X El Capitan: preferences Finder -since the drive icons appear on your screen, uncheck and then recheck all your "peripheral" in the tab of the sidebar in your Finder preferences.

• I can't uncheck the holiday in the United States and so I can no longer see my events?

  I had a problem syncing my calendar Pro Macbook and looking for a solution I opened the window on the toolbar.  I noticed "Holidays in United States" was not checked, so I checked it.  Now my calendar shows only the holidays and no event.  I tried unchecking it, but it won't let me.

  When I left calendar and reopen it opens with all my events and then quickly returns to vacation in the United States calendar and I see nothing else.

  There is no list on the left side.   I am running with the latest version of El Capitan.

  Where exactly did you check "vacation in the United States? There is a choice of the user in calendar > Preferences... > general > "see holiday calendar the" selection.

  In order to view the list, select Calendar > view > 'Show calendar list.'

  The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server.
  
  So you could always be connected to the wrong server if you make a typing mistake in the URL and someone said that mistyped the URL.
  
  The lock feature has been replaced by the How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure? on the left end of the address bar.

  I bought the HP ay503tx model that came with the BACK. I downloaded windows 7 x 64 ISO and I got the license with me original. But when I try to install windows 7 via USB it won't let me.

  After the boot from USB, it get up to page that says that windows install. and when I press install, it throws an error 'no driver device found ". I can't see any HARD disk where to install fresh windows.

  On the PC with the Intel Skylake chipset like yours, there is no support USB2 and the W7 installation media has no the USB3 support, so you are between a rock and a hard place.

  The solution that works for most is to use the tool below to integrate the drivers USB 3 of your installation drive of W7 USB flash media.

  I had to do a complete Windows repair my motherboard died back in January.

  Since obtaining Windows XP pro upward and run again, I did not the usual yellow reminder Windows Update shield in the taskbar. I put Windows to warn me, but not to install any update.

  I just went to the update page, and it is said that there are no new updates needed. Strange... I would have thought there were security fixes since the end of January.

  I did mine on February 17, but yes, it's the last that I have now. This months updates should be available today (March 13). I'm waiting for my small yellow shield to wait another day before telling me that they are ready. Even so, I wait a day or 3 and analyze the news to see if something catastrophic is reported in tech reviews online before I install them.
