Old desktop/tablet/phone design vs a reagent. Should I redesign?

I love efficiency and the design of new reactive capabilities by allowing designers to Muse to accommodate devices cross-platform on a single site. However, I am stuck in a scenario of "chicken and egg". Can I change my old design, or start a new one. I'm willing to put in the time, but what are the pros and cons of things like SEO results?

If it was me, and it will, I cross the not and redesign in reactivity. It will be better in the end.

And hey, you who will much better and faster!

The version of the phone has a margin on the right of white space. On versions of my design-, I designed straight edges.

Someone can tell me if this is a problem of preview or is it some sort of setting that I need to click in order to get an overview of the tablet version and phone correctly... Thank you!

  • When I create a desktop/tablet/phone version of a site, why all the pages are blank?

Hello, listener/user of long date, first time caller

I use Muse since jumping on the train of creative cloud a few years ago, but so far my experience has been to maintain and update a desktop version of a few small sites. I liked the idea to help the creation of separate traces of mobile/tablet/Office (ie the delicate design) of Muse, and last week was my first experience using it as I worked on a regeneration of ground-up of the http://www.eridusociety.org. I started with a presentation of the phone, with the intention to get this right and then expanding outward to a version of the Tablet, and once it was over, adding a provision of office.

After completing the mobile site and test it on Business Catalyst (thanks to all those involved in this seamless integration, by the way), I clicked on the + tablet button and began to build on the presentation of the tablet of the site. To my dismay, all the pages he built were empty. I tried to remove and re-doing with different combinations of the options checked, does not. Then I ran out of the web browser the closest and began the search - probably, I missed a step, or the collective brains of the internet could alert me on a way to do this. Alas, no luck.

White pages are intentional, and how to fill these blank pages is to return to the configuration of the phone, open the page, and then copy all of the content, then switch back to the presentation of the Tablet and open the corresponding page of the provision of the Tablet and paste the contents of the presentation of the source... and of course, rinse and repeat for both office layout (but for my workflow I copied pages of) available Tablet finished to create the desktop version).

For me, from all elements of the presentation of the source page is much easier than from scratch on every page. In this way, I know I have everything page and I can add to (or subtract) as well as change the page layout to fairly short term. I was driving me crazy with all bounce back between the layouts to copy/paste of what I'm working on my site, and for later use, I would like to know if there is a way that can be avoided in the future?

Ideally, I would like to see an option in the page Setup dialog box to create in order to copy the content (and choose the layout of the source to be copied from).

Also, another great option for this dialog box would let me choose to spend all the page links to the new provision. In other words, when it copy and glue all the content of the presentation of the source page, Muse would then also update the links to the pages on the site so that they link to the pages of the presentation. So when I create a version of the phone, then click on + Tablet, I can check a box to copy content from the source page, specify the source and then another box to update the links to the page layout. After Muse does its magic, I have a provision of the tablet which already has the content of the page on this subject, and this is the link to other pages on the presentation of the Tablet (and not available to source/phone pages).

Thank you to all the team members of Muse for a large enough product and the people manning the Twitter account to answer my tweet and direct me here.

  • Is it possible to have more than 3 alternative schemes (desktop, Tablet, phone) in the Muse?

Design of a basic site for a group of engineers who all have very large screens. In addition to the 3 other standard provisions inherent in the Muse, we would like to have more 2 "sizes" to offer meet 30% of visitors who have 1920px or a greater ability to look at a site. Is this possible in Muse? Thank you.

As Muse recognizes devices no resolution, you are limited right now to single size in each office, Tablet and phone provision.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 can not find of inquiries or icon for Tablet, phone, office design

I am a student new Dreamweaver and use of CS5. I need to make a Web design sensitive to tablets phones and desktop devices. I can't locate the icon on the toolbar for this option. Any help?

DWCS5 came out before the flow layout tool grille so that the option does not exist.

If you want to create sensitive sites with DWCS5, you will need to familiarize yourself with the css media and their code in your pages yourself.

  • Can I paste the same Code of Google Analytics on the desktop, Tablet and phone pages on my site, or create a new property for each?

Can I paste the same Code of Google Analytics on the desktop, Tablet and phone pages on my site, or create a new property for each?

I generated the code and created the property in GA I placed the code in the HTML < head > page properties metadata of my MUSE desktop file. I am past the same code in the same place for the page of the Tablet and phone or do we get new code?

I'm assuming that the code is the same for all pages of the Web site as long as they are within the same domain?

    I'm trying to confirm.

    Thank you!

Yes, you will need this same code applied to all pages you want to track. Simplest is to add to your Master Pages rather than individual pages.

  • Hello, I have a full desktop in Adobe Muse, site and I want to convert it into a version Tablet & phone, then, how would convert the site Office to Tablet & phone to copy the entire office content and site structure? Thanks for any help.

Hello, I have a full desktop in Adobe Muse, site and I want to convert it into a version Tablet & phone, then, how would convert the site Office to Tablet & phone to copy the entire office content and site structure? Thanks for any help.

You can not automatically convert. Click on the "tablet" or "Phone" at the top of your plan view to create these versions.

You can then copy and paste on any content you want has more of your office.

  • I placed the Web buttons on a template, but they change position each other on several pages. How is this possible and can I fix? This happens on all versions (desktop, Tablet and phone)

    Hello

I have placed the buttons of navigation on a master page, but they change position each other on several pages. How is this possible and can I fix?

This happens on all versions (desktop, Tablet and phone)

(I have created the buttons with elements of the Muse, grouped them individually and link them)

Now, I'm redoing the buttons because the client wanted smaller and the problem went away on its own.

I am currently working on a site that has the integration of Paypal which includes the page redirects (confirm or cancel). My goal is to have the implementation of site with a layout for desktop, Tablet and phone. My question is when I have a redirect page should I create a separate provision of the page for each device or just a provision of office that fits all three screen sizes? I hope that if the html page has the same name of the device (query) is automatically detected. Help with the help of Adobe Muse CC

By Payal integration, you mean paypal html button? or etc payment gateway configuration? If this is a configuration of the gateway to your site domain name then a single page with any structure will work, but if you use the button code for all associated formats then you will need to create separate pages for all.

    Thank you

Hello, I made a site using the 3 platforms: desktop, Tablet and smartphone, but... on tablets and smartphones appears the design office, no idea why?

    Hello

Please make sure you check "Desktop Redirection" option in the properties of the site.

    Here's how to get there.

    Presentation of the Tablet:

File > Site Properties > Tablet > check "desktop Redirection.

    Mobile layout:

File > Site Properties > Mobile > check "desktop Redirection.

Re-upload the site and then check out. You should be all set.

If the problem persists, please share the URL of the site for further investigation.

  • Tablet & phone versions of my site on desktop

    Hello

    I run the site www.thinkntalk.be

When I search "thinkntalk" on Google with my computer, among the links on site often goes to the tablet or phone version.

I already checked the internal links of each version. And the option ' redirect to... ". ' is active.

Is there a way to fix this?

    I thank very you much.

Other content related to the Tablet/phone version, that should not be a problem because the problem is not with all the pages I guess that's the content on the page.

Please select individual page elements and check if a link is marked with another version.

    Thank you

  • Vs websites vs Tablet phone office...

    Then...

What are the main differences between desktop, Tablet and phone sites?

What I have to work on each of them and redo all?

Can I work on office and leave the others alone?

My phone always displays the site office very well...

    Hello

Muse allows you to create 3 different layouts in 3 different sizes with separate content for mobile/tablet/desktop sizes (it would be better visible on the respective screen sizes).

You can not create a separate layout with content for Tablet and mobile layouts If you feel that your desktop version looks fine on small screen devices. In this case, the desktop version of your site will be available for any user who visits your site on a tablet or a mobile device.
