• Deletion of old user not recognized by the computer accounts

  The computer crashed, new hard drive, then restore the user accounts have been created with a different name.  The backup has brought in the old accounts with the files.  Copied the contents for new accounts.

  To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.
   
  To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself).   Installation of an operating system on an SSD, this isn't the same as it is with an electromagnetic drive legacy.  It is a little involved with an old SSD OCZ Vertex and enough conversely simple with a Corsair SSD upgrade kit. I own both. The upgrade of the Corsair was as simple as with the SATA supplied to the usb connector and software cloning with that also it was delivered.

  To do a bit of research I saw that there is not much in material information facility available on the web for this particular SSD. Maybe the transcend technical support would have been a better place to look for info on the installation. Transcend would have supported their product. The post that is marked as the solution is not correct. It is as you say a disc SSD PATA. It must have worked. the problem seems to be more a problem installation or a failing Transcend SSD drive. return the drive for a replacement and try again.

• SAMSUNG SSD 850evo cannot be read on the disk utility

  My macbook pro 13 "mid-2012 has been very slow (20-minute boot) for the past month, so I quickly looked for a cure and thought I have a failing hard drive.

  I bought a Samsung 850 Evo 250 gb to replace the failed drive. Following the useful tutorials on youtube, I managed to install the ssd in my macbook pro. However, when I use the recovery of internet to install OS X on the ssd, ssd seem does not appear is not in the list of drives available in disk utility.

  Can someone help me why it does not appear in the disk utility?

  Get out the SSD drive, install it in an enclosure, connect it to the MBP via USB.  Install the original HARD disk and start the MBP.  Open disk utility and make sure that the SSD is displayed.  If so, you can format it and clone the content for the SSD from the internal HARD drive, if you wish.

  However, when you install the SSD drive and if it does not start the MBP, indicating that internal SATA cable needs to be replaced.

  If the SSD does not appear in the disk utility when it is connected to the outside, then that indicates that the SSD is defective.

  I'm trying to reformat my Macbook Pro (mid-2012), because I had the folder with a question mark by trying to turn it on. Once I started the recovery process online and open disk utility my SSD does not, so I can't delete it or reinstall the OS. Any help would be appreciated.

  (Since 1) isn't the SSD with the disk utility program and 2), you get a folder with a question mark when you initialize I would say that your SSD is dead. Unfortunately, probably looking to a visit to your genius of Apple.

• A SSD from OCZ Agility 3 disc works with a dv9700T? Mine is not recognized by the BIOS.

  I bought a 120 GB OCZ SSD Agility 3 disc to install in my laptop the dv9700T CTO.  The drive is not recognized by the BIOS when it is installed in the Bay of 1 or 2, but is recognized when connected via USB as a secondary drive.  The drive works fine in a different computer, so I know the drive works.  There seems to be a problem with the SATA (ICH8) controller.

  Someone at - it any information on that?  Would love to get the drive works in my laptop.

  If you have a HARD drive installed in the secondary Bay and the OCZ SSD in the first Bay, the dv9700t starts and works very well.

  Frankly I recommend you buy a LaserJet P3015, then go online and buy a parallel EIO port, they are cheap on ebay.

  HP EIO parallel port is supported in the P3015, but this just printer model is no longer supported, but it is still available if you go out and get a fairly quicklvy.

  Your other option is simply to find a used LaserJet 4000, 4100, or 42 X 0 printer, these models all have a built-in parallel port.

  I just discovered the P3015 be be abandoned to randomly talk to someone in sales to the company that I work.

  Due to another scenario, I checked the parallel EIO port that made HP is compatible with the P3015.

  The parallel port also work in HP P4015, but HP does not guarantee that it does, I saw it work properly from any PC in this way however external Jetdirects will have problems with it. Installed the last FF (11) and realized how much my missing favorites are. I think the old version was 3. ???. There is no file "places.sqlite" for example is on my old 'C' drive, which is the place where the old FF operated since. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  What you have to do is find the APPDATA folder on your old hard drive. This is usually a hidden folder. If you read your backup information, it will tell you where this folder is usually. Don't forget that need you to do this on your old drive (which if you plugged it into your new PC is probably not labeled C).

  Then, when you find this file, just drill down to your profile and you should have all of the files that are discussed in the recovery of data from an old profile. Then copy it into your new profile!

The model number starts with an 'A' follow-up of four digits. Please post back this information.

  (3) what version of AirPort Express you have?  Please look for the model number on the side of the Express. • Logical disk partition not recognized in the New Installation of Windows

  Hello.  I would appreciate someone to give me any advice.  I don't know if the problem I encounter is an oversight on my part, but it was not something that I anticipated.

  To give a bit of background, until last week, I was running a Windows 7 system on my computer which included three hard drives (4 TB, 2 TB, and a smaller disk).  The 4 TB drive included my boot drive with Windows on a partition of 2 TB and then the unallocated space has been transformed into a new partition in disk management, received the drive letter G and was used for long term backup of data.

  Since then, I built a new computer and installed a new version of Windows 7 on a small SSD.  During this process, I have not all disks connected to the machine (except the DVD player) so that there is no possibility of installation of Windows, do something for these readers I didn't (I got burned by this time long ago when you reinstall Windows 95, which makes me just feel old).  After the whole installation process was performed and the new version of Windows has been working well, I opened the machine and plugged the drive 4 TB and 2 TB, assuming that Windows did not recognize them when I started.

  When I started in Windows, Windows does indeed recognize the two drives and assign drive letters.  But in the case of the car of 4 TB, he acknowledges that the partition containing my old boot drive.  No drive letter is assigned to the secondary partition.  When I go to disk management, it shows all of the remaining spaces as unallocated space, but seems not yet quite recognize space completely in the way he would if I'd created directly.  For example, if I right click in that box, I don't get the normal options to create a new Simple Volume.  Everything on this menu is grayed out except properties and help.

  A problem that could happen is that the disk partition has security setting so that the profile of the user that created it would be able to access it, and seeing that you are trying to access from a new profile may not not allow you to access

  To access these files, you can try to boot from the old hard drive manually to change the setting of the partition or simply manually move the files and delete the partition.

  To start from the old disk hard restart have the hard drive is plugged in, restart the computer and while it is booting F12 key to select the boot device, after that, select the old hard disk and access them normally.
