Older drivers to the motherboard Compaq "Quest".

I recently had an old Compaq motherboard. I have no idea what is the model of the motherboard, and the only identifying mark that I can really find about it was a sticker that simply says 'CAMARO '. I was wondering if there was some kind of free program that can tell me what is the motherboard model number. I have another key AIDA64 extreme, and I know that this program will tell me what model number is the Council, but I really don't want to lose the key on this computer, because I was going to put Windows 98 SE on it for my old programs and games. If it helps, I have some info on the map. It's an old Board of Socket 7 who can support the AMD K6 - II CXT 550 MHz processor and has two PC100 RAM slots. It uses the micro-ATX format and has 4 PCI slots. And also, it has integrated graphics, a game port (I'm 99% what is positive) and 3 audio port. You can help because I'm about to give up on this Board.

Hello

As you have a Compaq motherboard, I suggest you to report this issue in the Forums of HP Support: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/

  • I'm building a Windows98SE virtual machine on a host OS to Windows XP Home using Virtual PC SP1 (with the fix for XP home). Do I need to install drivers for the emulated hardware?

As I understand it, all hardware is emulated (that is, it 'sees' that which is emulated, not the physical hardware in my computer: sound card, motherboard, etc.), correct?  Here's my question: do I need to install the motherboard drivers, video drivers, or the audio drivers for the emulated stuff.  In other words, even if I have an Athlon XP 3000 + processor on an ASUS motherboard, do I need to install the drivers from the motherboard with the chipset emulated by Virtual PC?

You have no need track down all the drivers.  They are installed automatically.

    Hi all

Since a few days, I have several errors in cluster on two hard disks for my HP Pavilion

I fear that it also affected the recovery partition.

Therefore, I have 2 new hard drives and a Win7 64 bit ready to install.

But before that, I need to know how to get the drivers from the motherboard (Intel G33 chipset, sound and network, realtek... etc.).

I think I've found a few of them:

    Chipset: OK

    Videocard: OK

    Realtek: probably managed by Win7

but I feel uncomfortable on others:

    Hello

If your system still start then run this utility from Microsoft.    Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

Windows 7 64-bit should have all the drivers you need for the motherboard.  You must also install Windows 7 service pack 1.

I have the same motherboard in my PC and it is not a problem with Windows 7 64 bit.

Other devices that you mentioned will require that you go to the web site of the manufacturer and look for the drivers and support Windows 7 64.

Check your CD/DVD drive for a firmware update before you convert them to WIndows 7.

Check your PC for a bios update before you convert them to Windows 7.

Here are the specifications of your Compaq Presario SR1909UK desktop and it is card mother A8M2N-(NodusM). There is a conflict in the two specifications for what CPU socket is actually used. The computer specifications claim a socket 939 CPU, while the motherboard plug State she has a socket AM2. You will need to examine your system to confirm what type of CPU and socket he did.

It can be difficult to locate a market after motherboard that will meet your needs as AM2 socket 939 about 5 years to 8 years and are several obsolete generation. Check e - Bay or similar in your area for a replacement card which meets you the specifications. Please keep in mind is likely to replace the HP OEM Board on your computer Windows become a "non-genuine" and require the purchase of a new operating system. Note that the recovery discs you created will not be also usable on your computer.

  • "An older version of the MF drivers exist in this computer...". »

I updated to Windows 7 to 10 yesterday.  My Canon MF4890dw did not allow the other side.  It is not listed under printers.  I suspect that the "unknown USB device" is my printer.

I downloaded the latest driver from canon site.  When I went to install, I got the error message "an older version of the MF drivers exist in this computer.  Uninstall the old version of the MF drivers and then try to install again. "OK, so I went in the programs list and installed the driver of Canon and the Canon Toolbox.  Click right and removed (uninstalled)? the unknown USB device.  Disconnecting the USB cable.  Restarted.  Still had the same error message when I tried to install the new.

So I tried my C: drive for anything with the word 'Canon' and 'MF48 '.  I deleted all files except what was in 'Récent' and what was 'C:\windows.old.  I want to be able to go back to Windows 7 if necessary.  Rebooted even.  But still I got the old driver error message.

Find the file DelDrv.exe in the Canon stuff that I downloaded.  He ran.  He said "no target device has been found."

Searched online forums for similar issues.  Impossible to find answers for my situation.  Can anyone help?  I try next?

Oh, good grief.  Finally solved my problem.  Found the solution a way down in a Microsoft forum thread.

    Solution: (In the windows 10)

Right-click on the Start button, select Control Panel

    Click on devices and printers

Simple regular click on all the printers listed (I clicked on Microsoft Print to PDF)

Near the top of the window, a little in from left to right, you will see the text "Print server properties", click on that. (It is a right of ways to add a device)

In the new window, select the tab drivers

In the list "installed printer drivers:" select all Canon MF... of one type names and click on delete one by one.

From there, I took the option "remove driver and driver package" (who knows, maybe "Remove driver only." might have worked)

In my view, the next window said something about after having collected the drivers, and I clicked on the Remove option.

I got an error message "could not remove the cnxrpua6.inf package. Access is denied. "  That is why I wrote above that perhaps the option "remove driver only" might work better.  But the error does not matter since I was immediately able to install Canon drivers, that I had downloaded.  No reboot needed.

  • No keyboard or the drivers after replacing motherboard - Windows 7 Pro 64

    Hi all

I recently had to replace my motherboard - Gigabyte 990xa-ud3 and now there's no keyboard or the drivers once Windows loads.  Work fine in the bios.  I have 2 different keyboards to make sure that it wasn't the device and both have the same problem.  They appear to be the "other devices" in Device Manager, tried to update the drivers and uninstall them, and then search for the hardware changes.  I have also used the troubleshooting of Microsoft software "Fix - it" and still get the message «no driver» found  Run the sfc/scannow, attempt to repair the system using the installation disc.  Startup Repair returns not found or bad.

According to gigabyte, it is a known, issue because the replacement mobo is a slightly different version than the original, which causes Windows to have this problem to prevent the movement of a hard drive to different machines.  Something about address and register when the OS has been installed using the old mobo.  This is an area I have little experience in, and now am not able to pay for the information on how to solve the problem.

    System information:

    Core of AMD 8120-8

    16 GB of ram

    Windows 7 pro oem

Anyone had this issue and be able to fix it without making a complete new installation?

    Thank you

  • which is the easiest way to find the version of the motherboard to download its drivers when his need, when you don't have the manual of the motherboard

    Hello

I knew that finding ITU version of motherboard or chipset to download the drivers of it .you must click pause / break key on startup then the computer wil show just like the version of the motherboard bios.

I just tried on my computer to start, to see if it works, I pressed pause/break on start up button to see if it is really to give me the information about the version of the motherboard, but it seems nothing happen. I tried it on my desktop and on my laptop by pressing the pause/break key to reboot but it seems nothing happen .no information about the version of the motherboard.

I looked in the bios, but there is also no information on the type of card mother and version (or chipset).

I looked in system information, but there is also no information on the type of motherboard and version.

so my question now is if you do not have the manual of the motherboard (I know on laptops, that the version of the motherboard is written on the back of it) that way someone may know the motherboard type and version to be able to download the drivers of it if it wil really necessary.

I just ask this question because I started working with computer repair work.

    Thank you

    Johan

  • Compaq Presario SR5710F upgrade the video upon hearing the motherboard cannot handle high power supp

What is the best graphics card upgrade which can my Compaq Presario SR5710F can support? I'm ready to upgrade the power also, but hear that the motherboard do not put anything above 350 watts regardless of power.

You can install any PCIe x 16 video card you want. The limiting factor is going to be the power supply. More power the longer video card POWER supply. About what you hear about the motherboard, I found nothing to that effect. To qoute request-leo,' I heard a matter of concern that a power high power can somehow 'forcing' the power on the computer, resulting in overheating and burnout. Nothing could be further from the truth. A power supply provides power in response to the need; It does not matter where power grow. If your computer only needs 100 watts, then a 500 Watt power supply will only provide 100 watts. Why have a 500 Watt power supply? For the use of 'pic' (sometimes material will require 'sudden' power, as at the beginning upward or under heavy load) and for future expansion. »

It is better to have too much power too littleand to get the right size. By that I mean the physical size - come in many standard sizes out there, and they are not interchangeable.

  • Graphics card drivers for the GeForce in my Pavilion p6157c 9100 apparently are not editable?

If, when you are running Windows Vista or Windows7 that I use now, after installing the latest drivers from nVidia for the GeForce 9100 Integrated GPU Windows Update recommend re install the drivers as of October 2010.  It wouldn't matter to me except older drivers are apparently missing in performance - the comparing the latest nVidia drivers who have my adapter listed as compatible.

I would appreciate hearing an expert or someone who understands the reasoning, or that I may be wrong with my setup, so I to can learn more about this issue.   Perhaps informing me as to why this graphics card (integrated or not - to the motherboard, would not require any update?)

Thank you for your time and effort.

    Hello:

I would keep the drivers you have installed directly from nVidia.

Go to Windows Update and do right click on this driver suggested by Windows Installer, and select Hide update.

Then Windows will not be bothering you with it more.

The reason that you have found this update is the last update of HP or nVidia released to Microsoft for inclusion in their database to update the driver.
