  • vdmadmin to assign the desktop computer?

I'm giving entilements to a user in AD to access your desktop using the vdmadmin.exe command line interface.  I use VMware View Administrator 3.1.0 build-167577.

Here is an example of what I am running and see:

    C:\Program View\Server\bin VMware & gt; vdmadmin.exe-L d DesktopVM u example.com\phife757 m Pool1

Sucessfully assigned the machine specified user

When I look at the web administration interface after the above command I don't see this user, such as the right to use the desktop computer.   Sign in using the customer discovers also fails.

    I received the command from this article: http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 100752

So I guess my questions are, I use this command properly?  If this is not the case, how could do this using the command line?

There is no option for vdmadmin command line allows users to a desktop computer, only for (UN) assign a VM specific to them within a pool of persistent. You must use the administrator user interface to set up rights to the office. recommendation of davesherman to manage rights for large pools of office using ad groups is a good way to go, you can then change the rights by changes to scripts in the group.

I have a 11/2 inch with a lock blue square white inside on my screen and I peut-not get rid of her, shows up at first upward and monitor stays on the computer so no matter where I go or what I do, any suggestions?

    Hi Frankie Barkere,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. don't see no message in the box square on the desktop?

    Method 1

Check if the problem persists in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Restart the computer to return to normal mode

    Method 2

If the problem does not persist in safe mode then he isa possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem in normal mode. I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

I have a router that is running on a desktop computer that crashed. The router still works well with my wireless laptop. It is secure and I don't have the passkey. How can I put the software on a new computer without changing any parameters, so that I can connect a new laptop wireless?

If you have not changed the ip address of the router when you have installed go ahead and open a browser and when you type the type of URL 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER. It should ask you username and password go ahead and enter. If you has not changed it when you built the cd, it should be by default and have no user name and password is admin. If your able to logg in you can modify all the information here the wep key routers and find also. To do this, you don't need to use the cd more and go through the process of it and you don't need to install it on another pc.

  • If I downloaded photos on my iphone on my hard drive from the desktop computer, can I remove iphoto library without deleting them on the hard drive?

I received the message that my iphone storage is almost full.  It is mainly from photos and videos.  I deleted the videos and have uploaded my photos on my hard drive of computer desk top of the page (which is a Dell non Apple products).  Can I now enter into the iphoto library and delete photos without losing those I downloaded on my desktop computer.  If so, how do I?  Thank you D

iCloud is a synchronization system, not an external 'hard drive '. If you remove them on your device, they will remove icloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage. That will reduce the space required by 90% when it is fully effective.

    * original title - hidden Admin/Admin password breaker? *

... My teacher said that I can use these forums to get a response, so here I am...

Your Professor won't. It is not the purpose of these forums for coaching someone in how to circumvent or otherwise break administrative password. Administrative passwords are there for a reason and should be respected.

Assuming that "burn all programs" does not mean "'software piracy ', ask the person who created the passwords to transmit them to you or give you sufficient permissions to achieve what you're trying." If this can be done for some reason, reinstalling Windows and set your own passwords.

  • Select several icons to remove from the desktop computer

On my desktop computer Windows XP, if I press and hold the Ctrl key so that I can select several icons that I want to drag to the trash, after choosing 3 or 4 it suddenly makes copies of all. I don't want that to happen. What I am doing wrong?

You move the mouse slightly. This problem occurs usually because the hand is not quite as stable as you would like. You move the files/objects slightly when you drag and creating additional copies. Try lowering the sensitivity of your mouse in Control Panel > mouse applet.

Right click on the desktop, and then select the screen resolution.
