Only able to compress the file 14 KB, why?

I want to compress a Word Document using Windows Vista Zip and compress file folder of 34 MB to 22 MB, but I have only 14 KB of memory of zip. What I am doing wrong?

Hello

There is no option to customize the size of the zip file in Windows Vista. To compress the file to the size you mentioned, you will need to download a zip program to third parties using your favorite search engine.

Important:

With the help of third-party software or a link, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third party software or link can be resolved. Using third-party software or a link is at your own risk.

See the bottom of the article for more information about zip files in Windows Vista.

Unless the site you develop is for the Asian market, I don't know why you want to use that particular font. The Basic, standard and digital alphabet punctuation glyphs has sans serif, Roman characters, but the rest is thousands of Kanji characters. While you can use the font .ttf and .otf and web fonts, it would be very unusual to use one so great. Pages should load quickly and 78 MB, with a value of faces to download for those who have connections slow Internet is not fast.

I would take a different font without serifs. There are literally thousands who look identical or virtually identical to Yuanti.

131 free and high quality without font serif to choose here. I'm sure you can find a desired.

My Windows Media Player recently stopped playing downloads from Amazon. I've never had this problem before. • Error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file' when try to play wav or midi files.

Original title: WMP "can't play wav or midi.

Using WMP 11 on Windows XP SP3.

Windows Media Player has somehow forgotten how to play wav or midi files. Doubleclicking either of these file types give an error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. " There is a button 'Close' and 'Web Help' which still informs me, "you met the C00D1199 error message... ". ». Following the advice given nothing less than useful.

I can easily play these files with RealPlayer or VLC so I don't think it's a driver problem, and it wasn't a corruption right after installing the other players. WMP seems to work OK when playing music or AVI. And there is no harm to hear a sound (wav or midi) in Windows for various system events. Have already uninstalled/reinstalled WMP without result.

    Thanks for your reply.

I have since determeined the problem comes from an updated codec package I installed a few weeks ago. These codecs were from Shark007 which I believe is a Microsoft MVP. Use the codecs from this site for a number of years without any problems so I did not initially suspect it was the source of the problem. I uninstalled the codec pack and installed K-light package and everything seems to be Ok now. Now, I'll be in contact with the members of this forum.

  • When I try to use media player to download a plan of the garden that it says cannot find the codec used to compress the file

I'm trying to download a map of the flower garden and the media player stands up and says that it can not locate the codec used to compress the file. I have Windows XP Professional and service pack 3

You most likely need a Codec package for your video player. The codecare like translators who take the image video format and encode or decode for display in your favorite media player. I would recommend that you download and install the K-Lite Codec pack from here.

    Download K-Lite Codec Pack
    http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

Download the Standard or Full package to halfway to the bottom of the page. Download to your computer and run the program to install it.

The recovery partition is set by default to have very little free space_and has no negative effect on it or system. However, if you use it to back up files, it could fill to capacity. Do not use for backup. You can also check to see if the System Restore monitors the partition, if so, turn it off. Whatever you do, do not compress the partition. Doing so will serve as recovery to stop working.

    Hello

    ·         What is the format of the files that you play when you get this error?

    ·         Do you get what this error during playback of all files or a particular file?

You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    1. the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

2 - the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

You can try the steps and check if it makes a difference.

    a. to determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On the file tab, look at the sections of video codec and Audio codec.

    b. download and install Codecs by clicking on the PLAYER tab and check. To connect to the Internet and automatically download the Codecs of the reader.
