Only the last account used office is visible on the computer.

Hi, already, when I booted my pc, in Windows 7, all the accounts (including comments) appeared on the "Office" before that any password has been entered (for each account).
Recently, something happened and then to start I see only mine, or the last used,... I also see "other".

I've obviously changed a setting somewhere in Control Panel, but also recently has some malware (properly deleted) who could have done it?

I'm not a C:\Users\Public\Desktop...as suggested in another thread.

After searching (in vain) help and support, and then also the sections of Panel control... and also some related items possible in this forum.

Can someone please advise, how I can return to the list of all the user accounts, the on-screen "start windows".

Thank you

I'm not a C:\Users\Public\Desktop...as suggested in another thread.

C:\Users\Public\Desktop is a hidden folder.

See if this tutorial will help.

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer/motherboard?

    ·         Have what measures you tried to overclock the computer?

    ·         What is the brand and model of graphics card?

Overclocking has negative effects such as the heat while introducing wait states that actually causes the computer to run more slowly.

Check with the manufacturer of the computer Support as well as the motherboard supports Forums. You will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer for more details on this. They may be able to help the better.

    Overclocking risks:
Overclocking comes with plenty of risks, such as overheating, so you should become familiar with all the pros and cons before trying it. In addition, overclocking is not supported by the manufacturers of major chips which means overclocking your processor will void your warranty. Overclocking can also decrease the life of the CPU, causing the failure of critical components and can even result in a corruption of the data. You may also notice an increase in unexplained accidents and freezes.

My question is: is there a way to the assignment of drive letters, such as the computer will remember each script will travel the same with every new beginning?

Reformatting a hard drive should be considered a last resort to solve a problem with a computer system. The hard drive can be reformatted and reinstalled the operating system, using the system PC Suite hard disk recovery. Reformatting the hard drive will overwrite all data on the disk. To preserve the data, back up the data of the user as; letters, leaves of calculation, graphics and emails to an external storage device before you reformat the disk. If the PC does not work in the Windows operating system, see reformatting since the recovery disks .
Do the following to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
    1. Connect the PC to the power adapter.
    2. Close all programs.
    3. Click Start , click principally made programs , select System Restore and click on the PC recovery .
    4. When the recovery options are offered, select the option to perform the Recovery of PC and click Next .
    5. The PC will restart.
    6. When the recovery of the PC of welcome message, click OK to continue.
    7. In the system recovery Panel, select System Recovery . By default, the system will perform a complete reformat and will destroy all user data.
    8. Restart the PC when prompted.
As alternative method for the steps above, click Advanced Options , select the destructive recovery option and click Next to begin the reformatting process.
The PC is in original factory State and all data in the system, such as the place and the date must be reconfigured.

NOTE: any software "trial offer" has been included in the original factory image, it will be reinstalled, but it won't work (the test period will have expired).  If so any trial software is a security antivirus software or others, before connect you to the Internet, you must uninstall (using an uninstall tool provided by the manufacturer if available antivirus software) and then install your own anti-virus software.  So, you should download the uninstallers necessary and installers (or buy the software on CD) using another machine before starting this project.

    Hi Peter,.

1 when was the last time that the desktop icons worked?

    2. you have any security program installed on the computer?

    3. don't you face any performance issues on the computer?

4 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

Difficulty of broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/system_maintenance_for_windows/en-us

    Method 2:

If the problem persists, you can also run the Scanner security Microsoft and check all infections.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

  • Password error: your PC is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this PC.

I have Windows 8 and you are unable to open a session.  I have reset my password online successfully, but the new password does not work.  The message says: "your computer is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this computer. "I don't remember last password that I used.   Any ideas?

Original titile: password is not working on Windows 8

People it is a very simple and easy solution to this problem! Once you have reset your password from another PC/laptop or any other server for windows 8, you go back to your PC / laptop original where you forgot your password and do the following...

    1. even if you have reset your password, make sure you have an internet connection for this laptop can be wired or WIFI Hotspot even

    2. make sure that connect you using the option under your network settings in the lower left corner of your logg in screen.

    3. Once you are connected then only can type you the new password that you changed.

NOW, the simple reason for this is that when you have conveniently forgotten your logg in detail on this pc it does not recognize your new password unless it is connected to your online account.

  • Urgent: Cannot log on to Windows 8! "" Your PC is offline. " Please sign in with the last password used on this PC"

I use W8 for months and all of a sudden, while traveling, I can't connect to my computer. I get the error "your PC is offline.". Please sign in with the last password used on this computer. "I am sure that I use the password. I have a flash drive and another laptop (Running OS X) at my disposal. What should I do to access my laptop?
I don't have access to my local network, or any network besides.
I have not recently changed password. I can't restore or refresh because it requires the password and says that isn't true. I never installed webroot or anything of that kind.
Results in the same number safe mode.
I can't connect to my Live account with my phone just fine.
I do not have a local account.
It's ridiculous and absurd oblivion by Microsoft. I'll be away a network known for a week and have literally no access to my computer. I would like to take this opportunity to warn all users of Windows 8 to make sure that they USE LOCAL ACCOUNTS. DO NOT USE DIRECT REPRESENTS WINDOWS 8, BECAUSE IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU AND YOU CANNOT CONNECT TO A WELL-KNOWN. NETWORK, YOU WILL BE LOCKED.
I am aware that there are discussions on this topic, but I want to throw oil on the fire, so to speak, because as far as I know, there is no solution.

    * EDIT *.
The only solution is to connect to a known network. If you are not able to connect to a known network, you can not connect, simple as that. It's a big bug for sure. I repeat, change your account to a local account to avoid this problem.

So I solved this problem, but unfortunately, it was as bad as I thought. As I thought, you need to connect to a network "Known", and then try to connect. It should work. If you are not near a network known (as if I was), as far as I know, there is no solution. To avoid this, change your account to a "Local" account

My theory for the problem is the following:
When you connect using a Live account, the password is saved locally and on the network. If you are connected to a network, it verifies the password that you enter the password stored on the network. If they match, it will allow one, sign in. If you are disconnected from the network, Windows attempts to match the password online, realizes he cannot, then checks the local password. Somehow, in my case, the password locally must have been changed or deleted and so the password entered always was "Incorrect."
So yes, big problem, I'm sure the solution is quite simple, but in the meantime, use a local account to prevent this. I was stranded, and it was a huge headache and cost me many hours of work.
