Open as tabs

I selected three photos in Lightroom and then clicked on the 'open as layers in Photoshop' in the Edit menu.

When CC2015 didn't open one tab has been shown. Why not three as in the past? In preferences, I have the box checked to open as tabs.

I'm on a Macbook Pro using OS 10.11.1

Thank you.

Hello

Greetings!
Open as layers means it will open a tab with images on different layers.

This is how it works.

With Firefox 41 (and later versions), it is no longer possible to customize the
page displayed in a new tab by the evolution of the browser.newtab.url preference

  • Browser wants to open 150 tabs and windows at startup...

In the process of cleaning up my office, I have switched my keyboard. I got the browser window open to ESPN3 in a replay of College football. My keyboard is a keyboard shortcut to open new tabs. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the shortcut key declined over 150 times, opening a new tab for each. In addition, each tab to open a new window pop up game. I opened the Task Manager and stop the process. When opening Firefox again, it automatically opens all tabs and windows again before I can do anything. So... after the termination of the process down again once I restarted the computer. And now, the same thing happens early upward. so... Shut the computer down. Same thing. so... I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. Same thing again. I am at a loss. Please advise!

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder that stores the session data.
Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

  • Disable 'open new tabs' privileges for an add-on?

Hello, I have 2 modules that continually open a new tab leading to their sites AFTER an update
My computer is slow, but I need plugins too.
Rather, I put them to update automatically, but how do I disable 'open new tabs' privileges for an add-on?

Maybe it's a small nuisance for some users, but I don't think that mozilla would do something against it is not violation of the guidelines of addon developer...

in fact, to open a new tab after some mozilla firefox updates itself, so that disable see: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-stop-firefox-making-automatic-connections#w_whats-new-page

If you want to start a discussion about this neverteheless, then the best place to do it would be addons to https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons forum where staff and reviewers of addons.mozilla.org participate as well.

  • Open module - tabs open at the end of the tabs; even if we assume - next to the active tab.

It happened recently; Maybe a week ago. First of all I have noticed that in an Add-it-which I have already deleted; but now I see that it is in another - a "Search Image everywhere.
Normal open new tabs next to the current\focused tab. The problem is that in the tabs opened from an add-on.
I made a few changes in ' subject: config "to open new tabs next to current; do not remember the exact line.

    Facepalm.
I just disabled "insert tabs after current." and now the search for the image search add-on - open next to the tab.
As with of countless problems before OS\programs - the answer is simple.
    Thank you for your work.

  • Extension automatically opens new tab

I have a linux version of firefox. When I open a second window for the first time in a session, one of my extensions to open a tab with a new tab. Is there a way to prevent this. I checked the new tab setting and about: config and found nothing. I also checked the folder where firefox stores the information profile and made a senior looks to reveal all the files including the url of the Web page of the extension.

The returned search hits in the following files

    addons. JSON
    addons.SQLite
    Extensions. JSON
    Extensions.SQLite
    places.SQLite

    sessionstore-backups/recovery.js

Any advice on where I need to search?

You know that the extension is involved?

You shouldn't have any problem starting Firefox in Mode safe mode if the problem is really due to an extension. Take a look at this support article to start Firefox in Mode safe or to detect bad extension.

Maybe the defined extension new tab URL with the URL target when Firefox starts, and once the first new tab is opened, the extension put once again the new URL of the tab with the default this time.

  • Home page of Firefox loads when opening new tabs

    Greetings!

When I open a new tab (add) in Firefox, the new tab automatically load my start (home) page. He is an annoying "feature" when I open the page to insert an address because the address of the start page is present, resulting in the need to remove it from the address bar. This was not the case in previous versions of Firefox. Is there a setting to fix this? In other words, I'd like to open a 'blank' page when opening a tab, but I don't want a blank page appears at startup.

    Thank you.

These are actually separate settings internally, unless you use an add-on to replace.

Here's how you can change your new tab page:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

Press Ctrl + t to open a new tab and check that it worked. Fixed?

If the problems persist, some potential diagnoses and remedies:

If Firefox will not let you change this setting: you can have what is called SearchProtect on your system. This must be removed the control panel.

Firefox if allows you to save your changes, but he doesn't know: one of your extensions may be the substitution of her. You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, take a critical look on the list on the right and turn off (or remove) something unknown.

If the modification works during your session, but during the next startup is return to the unwanted page: you could have a user.js file in your personal settings Firefox (your Firefox profile folder). This article describes how to track down and delete the file: How to fix preferences that will not save.

    tab-mixplus does not help

  • Click on a tab used to open another tab and closed environment now tab, how can I change this back?

When I middle - click the mouse on a tab, it will open another tab with a copy of this page. For example, when I go to Pogo.com on one of recent games here I've sometimes will use the middle button to reopen the page and check the status of a fault, if it has been activated and the extent of the progress made. Now when I click middle mouse on a tab it will close the tab and if only one tab is open out of the browser.

    I currently use:
    Windows XP SP3
    Firefox 36.0.4

I have also tried to go to safe mode with Firefox without a change in behavior.

Hi, you can copy a tab open pointing to reload the current page (right end of the address bar) by clicking the mouse wheel.

If you want the browser remains open when you close the last tab, type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab and double-click on it to change the 'value' of true to False.

But when I want to open one that it breaks down and Firefox stops. Its really weird because I've never run this kind of problem before and I don't remember installing anything new until this problem appeared.

What is the setting of the new tab page?

You can check the browser.newtab.url pref on the topic: config page.
