• I've updated to the latest version and now all my color settings are confusing. Open old files shows wrong colors. What can I do?

  Exporting jpg files gives me files that look different in each browser. Many of my images take on a lighter yellow cast. I know there are issues with the help of profile being different between browsers, but I've never had this problem before. All my different when PSD files I open them and export differently than before.

  Even my Color picker displays more pure gray, but gray yellow in them. With the evidence mentioned above, color settings, I select in the picker look nothing like what is actually painted on the canvas. I see gray on the canvas but yellow gray in the color picker.

  I remember spending a lot of time setting up my color settings in my previous version of Photoshop. They seem to not have been migrated to my new version, and I don't know how to recover or configure again.

  The upgrade should not create these fundamental differences with my settings and workflows. I work almost exclusively with screen images and websites and I have no idea how to proceed. I can still function normally with my old files and the product is basically useless for me as it behaves now.

  I'm desperate. What can I do?

  That what is disable display color management chain - IOW take your profile instructor out of the loop. Which means you have a bad monitor profile, probably a sent through Windows Update.

  The real solution is to use a standard to make a new profile, but if you do not have one, use sRGB IEC61966 - 2.1 for now. Go to control panel > color management:

  

  Be sure to restart Photoshop to load the new profile at startup.

  Color settings won't leave anything here, and don't change anything. Color settings is to manage document profiles - but the issue here is the profile of the monitor , which is something different treated elsewhere.

  I've been using demo version of C4 and updated today.

  My system automatically open files C4 C3 first decided to remove my C3 sytem.

  Now I can't open any of my old files C3 to C4.  What heppens is C4 says to reformat the project, it can be used in C4 as expected.  The system goes and he does things but no other file is produced. I try to open the original file of the C3 and do the same round loop with no success.

  Please help as I cannot perform the work until I can open the files.

  Ideally it should work even when the CP3 has been uninstalled.

  You can do the following: -.

  (1) create a new project in CP4 and go to file-> import-> slides and objects and select the cp3 project file.

  (2) but now you are installing cp3 still... Open the old project in cp3 and copy all the slides. Create a new project in cp4 and paste.

  First of all, a tip: try breaking manually links to the file by moving this document you want to open on your desktop or another directory or such and then try to open the... (corrupted image previews and/or images may then be largely elminated as a potential cause)

  As @Peter mentioned, we (Markzware - link here for how it works) can probably repair this file. Interesting notes of @jongware above. Without having seen this file, our research shows there are variety of reasons an InDesign file can head South and corrupt or crash on you. Just as a doctor cannot always say what has caused the problem, there are some basic steps that we should take. For example, OS updated, using the latest available update InDesign, enough disk space and disk for Adobe scartch space heavy design operations. Here is a list of some of the most common problems with bad INDD documents:

  * Corrupt police (or corrupt fonts (see below) caches

  * Corrupt or images

  * Power failure

  * Place images by drag - move a Web page

  * Working on a file, InDesign via a network or on a remote server

• Older version of After Effects to open old file?

  I have tons of projects at the end of 6 effects.  One of the reasons why I joined Adobe cloud was because I want to update to os x, Mountain Lion and AE6 does not work on ML.  I just tried to open one of my old projects and get the error message "this file was created with an older version of After Effects [6.0(Macintosh PPC)] and cannot be opened.  You can convert this file using an older version of After Effects and re-record. "Well, I don't have access to my copy of AE6, is it possible through the cloud to Adobe to get a version of After Effects that will open these files, so I can up-conversion it?  Or any other method to get these files to open in the most recent version of the AE?  Re-building is not really an option, these are projects that are years and are continually updated with the text.

  It could be Aproblematique with the codecs trying to preview the files. Go to the Control Panel, reports on problems and Solutions, click on "View problem history" on the left pane, scroll down to Windows Explorer, under click twice on the problem that correspond to the date and time that you have encountered the problem. Note the name of the file next to the heading ' fault module name: ', google for the file to see what program it is. Uninstall, update or reinstall the program.

  SWF is not intended to be an editable format. It is a 'final' format, generated by the publication of a FLA file. If you want to change the SWF files, you must obtain the FLAS they were fired.

  Have you tried to simply open the file normally CS5?

  Or (which corresponds to the options Windows) DoubleClicking the file, or right and open with and choose CS5?

  There are a number of things that can lead to this apparent problem.

  Most often, it's trying the free 30 day trial of Acrobat Pro. At the end of the 30 days your trial exhausted and Adobe are doing two things:

  Buy Acrobat Pro

  * Uninstall Acrobat Pro

  If this is the case, simply uninstall it. The free Acrobat Reader/Adobe Reader software is a completely separate product, you may need to repair or reinstall.
