Open the Acrobat files in preview

Since Acrobat DC is useless and preview works perfectly well, how can I get files Acrobat automatically opens in the preview?

And points bonus can someone tell me how Adobe manaqes to survive while producing waste without value?

Select a pdf file in the Finder and then use the command I key combination or Finder file menu Get Info and in the read window information change 'Open with' overview and then click on replace all.

Re the bonus: I need to continue to use Acrobat as it handles large PDFs much better than recent Preview versions.

    Hi Lisa,

To download PDF files, you have nothing else except a web browser.
However, to open the pdf file that is downloaded, you certainly need to download Acrobat Reader: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

    Hello

Yes, the Adobe Acrobat Reader for iOS on iPad/iPhone to view PDF Forms.

The problem is that the preview PDF Apple does not make data from completed forms and annotations (Sticky Notes, point climax, drawing freehand, etc.).

When you open a PDF document in an application (Mail, Safari, iBooks) Apple iOS, please make sure you use the feature of "open in" iOS to open it in Acrobat Reader for iOS.

Please take a look at the following documents of the FAQ.

  • My watch blue dotted around certain pages PDF. They used to not be there when I open the PDF file. That's happened?

I have a PDF file that shows dotted blue around some of the pages of the document. They weren't there when I opened the PDF file before, and I did nothing for the parameters I know. I don't know why they came, so don't know don't no how to get rid of them. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard XI on my desktop, using Windows. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Sara,.

I couldn't find "print > printers marks" dialog box in my version of Acrobat, which is Acrobat Standard XI. However, your response has helped a lot in a search that led me to the answer. Use view > show/hide > navigation components > layers to show the layers pane. I clicked on 'the eye' off to the relevant pages, and the marks have disappeared.

    Thank you very much!

  • JavaScript to open the PDF file

Hi all. First time poster here. I need to open a PDF file from a javascript that I run using wscript.exe. I also need to fill out some fields in form. I will create the Javascript file on the fly from an application I'm developing. The development environment is a system based script that does not use javascript, but it doesn't have the ability to make calls from the shell.

So my goal is to create a .js on the fly file, and then open a PDF form and fill it out. I have already all the javascript code needed to fill out the forms, but I can't for the life of me how to communicate with Acrobat or Reader itself in order to run javascript.

I can and have created records of FDF and then open the file with the Adobe application and that works very well, but the PDF file must be crafted to open the FDF file from opening, and I want to avoid this extra step. I want to be able to fill out the form directly from my application.

The development environment is NOT C based ot Java-based, otherwise it would be a simple matter of using the API prescribed for them.

    Any ideas?

You do not have Acrobat execute JavaScript from a file, but you can ask that it executes JavaScript from a string. Do this, use one of the several APIs, not a command line or shell call. VB is probably the best language as it fits perfectly with JavaScript. Whatever you do, you will need the Acrobat SDK. And none of this will work with the free Adobe, only Acrobat Reader.  (I don't know how it would be easy if your environment is based on Java).

  • Problems to open the PDF files created on a PC on a MAC

    Hello

Im having issues when I PDF a Word from the Microsoft Office 2010 document. When I opened the pdf file after that is very well and when I send email to other users of PC, it is fine. The problem arises when I send the PDF file to a MAC user and they view the file. The text becomes black lines. The lines are also still visible when they print the document.  I'm using acrobat 9 pro. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks for your help

I was converting a doc MS word to PDF 2010.  I think I found a good solution.  When you save the PDF file, I chose the 'options' and check the box under PDF options for "ISO 19005-1 compliant (PDF/A).  I tried to access this file last updated from my iPad and is no longer the text displayed as black lines.  He did, however, increase the size of the file a little... I think it's due to embedding the fonts?  In any case, it seems to work now :-)

  • How to open the pdf file residing on the server to the client computer applications?

    Hi all
The scenario is that I've developed a form using forms10g (9.0.4). I wrote the following lines in the module of the form, there is a button.in the code for this button.
    AppID: = DDE. App_Begin ("C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe C:\2dayDBA.pdf', DDE.") App_Mode_Maximized);
    ConvID: = DDE. Insider ("Acrobat", '2dayDBA.pdf');
Now when I run the form and click the button, it opens the pdf "2dayDBA.pdf" file and it works fine.
My problem is that when I deploy the same form on Oracle application server and copy the pdf files in the same location with acrobat reader installed at the same place and run the formula browser client and press
the button, it does not open the pdf file and gives me the error "Exception no Oracle".

someone has the solution for this. (don't forget I want to just open the pdf file of the client)
    its really urgent

  • questions to open the .swf files

At the opening of the .swf files I open or save as options. I tried all the fixes I could find nothing help. I even tried reinstalling the flash player program. I can read the files from the site, but after downloading, I can no longer read the files from my desktop without having to open it or save as options as it tries to re - download the same file. This repeats non-stop. I checked the options in tools but I can't seem to change or reset things to the .swf files. One of the options for the target of shockwave flash file, which I installed it, but the other says always ask. I can't change to firefox, if I set it to IE he repeats the open or save as options as it does in firefox. I can't locate any program to open the file in firefox.

Before the last update that I use to just be able to click on a .swf file and it will open in firefox without problem. I don't know what has changed in the last update, but now I can't open the .swf files unless I do it from the site, I downloaded the file from.

Try to rename (or delete) the file mimeTypes.rdf in the profile folder of Firefox to reset all the actions file.

  • Update Firefox, now I get an error when you try to open the .mkv files, but not other video files

I created an html page of cinema at home with links to movies on my hard drive. I have two types of links or href = 'file:///C:/Media/movies/Looney Tunes/MainMovie/Vol 1 Disc 3/VIDEO_TS/VIDEO_TS. IFO' for normal DVD or href = "file:///C:/Media/movies/Blu-ray/Lorax/mkv/THE_LORAX/THE_LORAX.Title800.mkv" for blu - ray. Both have worked fine (click on the link and the movie starts to play with Media Player Home Cinema) for a few years until what I recently upgraded to firefox. The .ifo files still open as usual, but now blu - ray links take me to a gray page that says "Video cannot be read because the daughter is corrupt" with a large "X" over it. If I open the html page in Internet Explorer and click on the link, it works very well (blu - ray opens by using Media Player Home Cinema). Also, if I directly open the .mkv files, they play very well (open using MPHC). Thanks for any help!

Change your links to include the attribute type with the value of video/x-matroska . Example:

    <a type="video/x-matroska" href="file:///C:/My%20Videos/Cooking/Making%20Gingerbread.mkv">How to make gingerbread</a>

I also used to get the same behavior with files from web sites, when I had the extension of InlineDisposition installed.

  • Once I updated to Firefox 11, I can't open the pdf files. It's more the computer, snow leopard and lion and more than one Web site.

I've updated to Firefox 11 and now I can't open the PDFs Online. This has happened on more than 1 computer, using the two OS 10.6.8 and OS 7.0 and on more than one Web site. I tried to uncheck "block pop-up windows" in preferences, but which did not help.
When I use Safari to open the same file to pdf, they open fine. Everything worked fine with my Firefox until I did the upgrade.

I prefer to continue to use Firefox, but I can't understand the root of the problem.

Has anyone else had this happen as well?

Thank you, gentlemen, to find a "solution" to this particular behavior of Firefox. It is really curious that even if the screen is blank, you can indeed save the .pdf Ghost and then open the saved file to view. What is amazing to me is that this issue does not seem to be what makes the hit parade of the problems currently experienced Mozilla. Not everyone will be willing to do a research project extended rather than leave the ship for Safari, etc..
