I recommend that you run Disk Cleanup or cCleaner to remove temporary files as this will reduce the time to scan security software.

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

  • Always open Windows Explorer in maximum mode

When I goto Windows Explorer I always open with maximum vision.
For the moment, it opens in smaller mode and I have to click the view max.
How can I always open in the view max?

    Arthur H

Stretch the window to fill the screen (make max view) then close.  When you open it again, it will be max view - it records the last means, that it has been closed by default for the opening of the next time.  This is also true with Internet Explorer.  Keep in mind that if you reduce the screen then shutdown or logoff, you will be at the smallest display again when you open then (it opens not in absolutely minimal view: it uses size to halfway instead).  In internet Explorer this sometimes occurs when a secondary screen opens and you close just she and then stop or go to sleep - he uses this by default for new windows last shutdown, even if you didn't want to do.  There is no way I know to 'lock' to opening to view max all the time - you just have to watch how you shut up when finished.

    I hope this helps.

I remember a point by opening Explorer windows as my computer (disc mode) in Windows 7, where you can update the shortcut from the menu start through the property browser and changing the target. • Open windows Explorer to the navigation pane

It is a small non-critical problem that was bugs me for a long time and I was not able to find any station anywhere, about it.

I want Windows 7 to Explorer open by putting focus on the navigation pane, so I can quickly mouse scroll until I'm looking for.

On a drive hard partition, I switch on the properties of the shortcut of/e, D:\My Documents and with libraries and personal records removed by Registry hacks, Windows 7 Explorer opens to D:\My Documents, but focuses on the files pane.

    What - not great.

I stumbled in a forum that mentions this topic for Win 7.  Their solution is a dll file that can be downloaded on the post below.

  • Open Windows Explorer, but does not display the files.

Whenever I try to access a folder or even something like the trash, a computer or control panel, it takes forever to finish loading and nothing shows. Sometimes not even the Panel on the left. For some reason any this has also affected the folders on my desktop. Looking at them, they look empty, but I can start properties and still see the size and the quantity of files and still run programs in a separate program (aka the steam games). As long as I don't have to go through a menu that I can get to a program. Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

To do an upgrade of the repair to the problems of Service Pack installation, read this and follow:

Looking for a difference in numbers/Service Pack levels.

If Service Packs came pre-installed on the operating system, there is no way to uninstall them.
You will need to exchange the disc for a later version that includes the missing Service Pack.

On your installed operating system Service Pack level cannot be greater than what is on the disk.

Click Start > right click on computer > properties > system > it will tell you which SP you have installed.

"How to uninstall Windows Vista service packs"

If the installed OS has the disk with Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 > uninstall SP2 installed operating system > repair install upgrade > reinstall SP2.

And run the upgrade of a Vista operating system.

  • First hangs whenever I open Windows Explorer.

Whenever I'm in the first attempt to import using the windows double Explorer clicking import or whenever I go to export and edit name and address first just breaks down. A box of windows problems shooter stands up and says then close the program. This is it, no errors, nothing.

This does not happen when I start a new project until after I imported the initial set of images, every time after that it crashes.

Happens on all projects any images I use.

Need help desperate since the import and export are parties literally the most vital first.

  • Open the folder to browse (aka, open windows Explorer to the known folder)

    Hi guys,.

It should be fairly trivial, but I can't find a way to do it.

I just want to add a button on my vi, which opens a file to a known path.

So let's say, I generate reports in the following folder, c:\Temp, I want to click a button and it will open the Temp folder for navigation, as if I went to start-> run-> C:\Temp

Use a structure of the event to look for the button press. In which case use something like the following:

  • Why does my SkyDrive icon display not in my favorites from Windows Explorer?

Why does my SkyDrive icon display not in my favorites from Windows Explorer? I installed on my PC under Windows SkyDrive 8, but Skydrive icon does not appear in the Windows Explorer Favorites? How can I fix it?

Thanks for your response - I did this and the last step of drag or copy in the Favorites list failed. He said "can't put in Favorites? This is the real icon for SkyDrive placed on desktop as a shortcut. Any thoughts?

    Hello

Right click the Skydrive shortcut that you created, and select copy.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the C:\Users\your name\Links folder.
(Where 'your name' is the name of your user account)

Right click on the links folder and select Paste.

This will place the Skydrive folder in the Favorites list in the file Explorer.

  • How can I make my files open with the section 'files' (on the left) already enabled (in Windows Explorer)?

I'm on Windows XP with Service Pack 4.  The "show common tasks in folders" checked in folder options and my windows Explorer opens with the "common tasks" bar on the left side.  I have to click on 'files' (in the top tool bar) to get my files to display on the left.  If I click on "use Windows classic folders" instead of "Show common tasks in folders" my explore opens with no left bar at all and I still click on 'files' to have folders appear in the position of the left side bar.  Can I solve this case everytime I open windows Explorer opens on the side bar of folders on the left and content on the right?  If Yes, where and how do the default every time I open windows Explorer?  Thanks for any help, that all the world can offer.

Thank you very much.  This has not only had what I wanted, but also extend this ability to any file folder I click on.  What I was really doing was: I saved a link to a set of "my computer" window microsoft explore my d: drive (my data partition) so it automatically goes to what I look at in explore more often rather than having open 'my computer' and go through several steps to get to the open D: partition.  But I still had to push the button of "folders" at the top of the page to open the view in the left bar of my directories - every time.  With your help my link now opens windows Explorer set up exactly the way I want every time!  You have saved me from countless steps repetative in the future for every time I open windows Explorer.

    Thank you once again,
