My camera a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 (camera great by-the-way). Now if I right click on the image of RW2 I do not receive an option to open with PSE13 which seems strange to me. I used 'open with' other PSE13 Publisher and chose always open with PSE13 said. So now as soon as I left click upward is PSE13 for editing that was precisely what I was looking for. The default value on the RC is PhotoMatix which I use occasionally. "Topaz" plug-ins simply hover of 12 to 13 so all very well that this stupid thing on the RC.

  So why not make an option open with PSE13 if you right-click a RW2 file? Everything on the hard drive offers this choice; other than my camera RW2 files.

  I'm thrilled to say that the Village of items came prevails and completely solved the problem for me. Make a click right/get info/open bottom/change all and all and completely dusted.

  Make A right click now give me PSE13 as default or simply click on a RW2 file and it will open in PSE13.

  Did you check help-> updates to see if they are available? You probably don't have the latest version of Camera Raw that was compatible with Photoshop elements 12 installed.

• Adobe first Elements 13 does not open with Windows 7

  What you describe is a known problem with the elements first 13/13.1.

  Adobe gave us the solution that seems to be deleting the OldFilm.AEX file.

  Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64-bit

  and in NewBlue folder is the file OldFilm.AEX that you remove or disable by renaming the file OldFilm.AEX in OldFilm.AEXOLD.

• First Elements 9 opens with the modified workspace, then crashes

  After starting to learn first Elements 8 in a classroom, I decided to purchase the software. With Premiere Elements 9 available, I bought this version and install it on my home PC.

  My system: HP Pavilion dv9500 Notebook PC, Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU T7500 2.20 GHz; 4.0 GB RAM; Operating system 32-bit, Windows Vista professional, Service Pack 2; DirectX version 11.0. NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS.

  Installation (starting a DVD) seemed to be going normally. I used the program for less than one day simply check on what new features in version 9 a report to version 8. During this time, he seems to be very similar to what I'd learned with version 8 in the class I took.   For catalogs and the layouts folder, you must type in the following in the start menu-> Run bar

  Ppl repeatedly face problems when opening. EXE files.

  • The EXE file opens in Notepad.
  • EXE file opens in a few other installed programs.
  • Windows displays the 'Open with' dialog box to select the program.
  • Windows displays the error message "Windows cannot find .exe file. Make sure you typed the name correctly.

  Most of the time it happens when you accidentally replace. Type of exe to Folder Options settings. Sometimes, it can happen due to the virus.

  In any case no need to worry. Here's a solution that will fix this annoying problem:

  1. open RUN command prompt by typing the command in the dialog box.

  2 provide now following command:

  cd\windows

  3 it will activate the Windows folder. Now provide following command to open the Registry Editor:

  Regedit

  4 now goto following key:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe

  In the right pane, change the value of default elements exefile key

  5 now goto:

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command

  In the right pane, change the value of the default key to:

  "%1" %*

  6 that's it. Now, quit the registry editor and restart your Windows. Now you should be able to open EXE files without any problem.
