Update Vista caused internet connection problems

I have tried repairing computer of my sister, who says simply ceased to connect to the internet all of a sudden.  She said that began February 1... After looking through the system restore, I noticed there was an update installed on 31 January, so I restored the computer to the day prior to that, and now the internet works again.  Since then, I have disabled the automatic updates.  My question is: How can I solve this problem?  I can't leave just for always updates disabled...

Hello

Please can you us on the update that is causing this issue?

This problem occurs especially if there is a conflict between the update and the application program on your computer, mainly the antivirus program.

That's why I suggest to disable and re-enable the antivirus program or the security on your computer and try to update the verification of updates if the problem is resolved.
Ensure that you re - activate the security on your computer program after a repair.

Try here to reset windows update components and then try to install the updates.

Also, I recommend you to uninstall and reinstall the network drivers and see if it makes a difference. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and
Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator
password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. in Device Manager, locate the device, and then double-click the device name.
3. click Driver tab, then click on uninstall the driver and follow the instructions.

My App stopped QQ update because I had an internet connection problem, now it is stuck on pause.  I have to delete the app and reinstall?  Or is there another way because I don't remember the password.

    Hello Cyclops123,

I understand you are having problems updating the QQ app and it seems to be stuck update. Let's see if we can get smooth it.

I'd go with your suggestion to remove the app and then download it again from the Mac App Store. You can do this by opening the Launchpad, then click now on the app to make them move. Once this happens, you should see a X hovering over applications that can be removed. Click on that and it will be removed from your Mac. More details in the first articles below.

  • Windows Update, in particular, is the cause the internet connection problem? Why Microsoft is not the problem?

Twice in the space of a few days our internet connection has been disabled. System Restore solve the problem - temporarily. It would be good to know exactly which file is causing the problem.

I applied all the updates of Windows 7 on 5 computers and encountered no problems.  You use McAfee antivirus by chance?  There was an update for that because of the problems of Internet access for some.  Check with McAfee, if you use that.

    Good luck.

  • Windows Update causes internet connection to stop working

I installed the recommended Vista updates last night and this caused my internet connection, to stop working.  This has happened to both of my HP laptops.  I was able to work around this problem by going to a previous restore point but worry about future updates, causing the same problem.  Please notify.

    Hello

Use a wired connection to download the latest drivers or download on another computer
and transfer them to this one on removable media such as CD, DVD or USB drives.

Control Panel - device - networks - WiFi - Manager write down of the brand and model, and then double-click
on the drivers Tab - get the version number. Then double click on update drivers (this can do nothing
that MS is far behind the drivers of certification). Then make a right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it
    will update the driver stack.

Now, go to the system manufacturer and search for updated drivers, this will be your fallback. Then go to the Site of the manufacturer of the device
and look for the even more recent drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put the driver - CLICK RIGHT to it - RUN AS ADMIN
(repeat on the site of the manufacturer of the device)

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

I would also turn off AutoUpdate for drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

  • Need to update Wireless DSL internet connection very slow in Vista driver.

I have a dsl connection, the wireless is very slow.  I have windows vista and bought an ethernet cable and I can not connect via cable. My technician suggested I need to download a driver for a cable modem but can not find such a download via windows vista

    * original title - I need to install a driver for the ethernet cable, I bought for my dsl connection but cannot find a windows vista driver *.

You do not receive a download for an Ethernet cable.

Make sure you have the right cable

And go to the site of the Modem Manufactutrer'e and are looking for the latest version of the Firmware/software for the modem.

Or if it's the drivers for your network adapter you are referring to:

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

The computer you are using now if you have an Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

If you have additional problems, I suggest that you ask that technician who advise you on this issue download driver problem.

  • Optional hardware update interfering with internet connection

I downloaded two support.microsoft.com optional hardware updates this past weekend, and one of them is interfering with my internet connection.  I am running Windows XP Edition family and try to use internet explore to connect.  I talked to tech support at my ISP and determined that it is not a problem with their service.  How can I identify what update caused this problem and uninstall it?

You should get the hardware updates directly from the manufacturer of your hardware rather than rely on Windows Update.

Suggest that restore you drivers (if possible) for optional hardware updates two you installed and check the site of the manufacturer for the most recent update (if any) and install them.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283657

If you want to diagnose that we (update caused the problem), after removing the updates, install one, if you have the internet connection, then this is the 2nd which caused the problem. If your internet connection is missing, then it is one that you have installed.

  • Windows Firewall/Internet connection problems

Recently, a problem came with my Windows Firewall. I don't know what caused the change, but I'll be surfing the internet very well, when a small bubble appears in my task bar that says: "your computer may be at risk. No firewall is turned on. "This has happened in the past, but when I clicked on the bubble to check before, my firewall is activated, so I simply rejected it. However, just a couple of days I noticed that when this bubble came, my internet connection would fail temporarily. So, when I saw the notice again once my firewall was not turned on, I checked. It seems that Windows Firewall turns itself off tension. I have no idea why he would do this. I manually turned it on again several times, but still it does.

I run Windows XP Media Center Edition and (to my knowledge) have all the service packs/updates.

Well, I asked a friend gifted in computer science, he suggests Spybot. I downloaded spybot, scanned my computer and found a Windows Firewall security override in my registry. Deleted Spybot, and now all is well again. This is a very quick and easy solution.

You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.
