OpenGL ES 1.1 question

If I set the following two points for a line

row [0] = - 1, 0;

line [1] = 0.6;

the line [2] = 1.0;

line [3] =-0.6;

and using the scale

glScalef ((float) (surface_width), (float) (surface_height), 1.0F);

When I draw using (after setting gl vertex array and vertex pointer to the array of vertices)

glDrawArrays (GL_LINES, 0, 2);

I get what I expect, a beautiful diagonal line from the top left to the bottom right.

Now, if I change only the summits to

row [0] = - 1, 0;

line [1] = 0.6;

the line [2] = 1.0;

the line [3] = 0.6; / * This change-0.6 to 0.6*.

I get nothing on the screen.

I use the BB10 Simulator with landscape selected in the file descriptor bar.

Am I missing something simple here? I expect a line going straight across the screen at 2/3 the way to the top of the Center.

Never mind...

Has had a projection drop-down incorrect

  • Satellite A200 - 1 M 8: issue playing in Open GL games

    Hello!

    I am the proud owner of the Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 (graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600). I have problem with playing the games in the graph Open GL system (Jedi Academy or other Quake III-chart-based on a gaming system, for example).

    When I was looking for a answer to my problem, I have based a single thread, also marked useful, but unfortunately is not updated, site of the user's response is no longer available (http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=13561㓹).

    I used Vista, now I am running XP, I downloaded the latest display drivers for XP, for my Toshiba A200 - 1 M 8, and whenever I try to launch the game with Open GL, I get error like:
    "GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem".
    My question is: How can I solve this problem? Are there drivers or solution to make it works? As always, any help is appreciated.

    Greetings - Andrew Wysokiski.

    Hello

    Did you google for GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem.
    And you will get a huge amount of hits.

    It really looks like a graphic driver problem. For most updated could help to solve this;
    As far as I know not all drivers GPU supports the OpenGL but DirectX.

    Someone recommended to check if the OpenGL was chosen (if possible). IF this settings are available, then you might find somewhere in the graphics driver options.

    Bye and good luck

  • Moving an object in the model window and see it move.

    This should be a simple question (I hope).  When I drag an object to move, I can see is more where I am dragging to in the window of the model until I let go of the mouse button.  This prevents me from positioning accurately any layer.  Numeric values move into the property of transformer station that I drag the object.  But I don't visually see where I am dragging.  The same is true when I change the values using the position property of the transform.  As I change the values, the object on the in the comp monitor remains static until I have release the mouse button.

    If I need to provide more information, please let me know.

    Problems with OpenGL drivers? Not question

  • SysWOW64 and Question OpenGL error

    OK, so for about 2-3 weeks I had a problem with OpenGL graphic running programs, usually to get Visual errors (missing, misplaced textures images etc.) and messages during the installation of programs such as Lego Digital Designer indicating that the OpenGL is 'missing '. This occurred very shortly after the last, I tried to update my graphics AMD Radeon drivers.

    Today, I did a search of system to see if I was missing the file. I actually came with 4 results, System32, two of them downloaded AMD drivers and the other in the "SysWOW64" folder I was suspicious of it because it was stuck in my smart Norton Firewall. In addition, the file was closed as being created on June 19, 2014, which is about when I started noticing problems. I did the research and got two answers as to what this record was:

    Answer 1. : SysWOW64 is a legitimate Windows file necessary for 32 bit running on 64-bit Windows 7 (I'm under 64-bit, of course).

    Answer 2. : SysWOW64 is a Trojan which messes with windows functions and creates mistakes posing for other programs.

    I tried a manual solution to remove SysWOW64 files in safe mode, but I couldn't move anything to recycling. Before I could destroy my computer, can someone tell me which answer is true?

    Also, anyone know how I can fix the mistakes of OpenGL if SysWOW64 isn't the problem?

    Of course, there is a small chance of malware disguising or hiding in the file in question, but

    false positives are quite common with anti-virus programs. Norton is pretty well known.

    If you downloaded the drivers from the AMD website, there should be no need to worry about malware.

    -Try to run a check with Malwarbytes.

    Sometimes you just have to disable the firewall and AV temporarily when dealing with stuff

    who is blocked by AV.

    Or... go through the hoops to permit an exception to everything which bypasses that you know is trustworthy.

    Malwarebytes: Download free anti-malware

    There are several generic files for the AMD and Nvidia graphics that live in System32 and SysWOW64. Some will not remove these are Windows system files, but there is a small

    possibility a malware blocks their deletion (or lives here because the file cannot be

    deleted).

    (In the past (XP) Windows for AMD and Nvidia graphics file might be deleted, but)

    were relocated when Windows restarts. Win7 can do similar).

    -L' safest option to deletion, is to move or rename the files before deleting. If a new file is installed by Windows when you restart it, or by the drivers you install,

    You can safely remove the old file.

    -Generally, the only time you will need to get down and dirty with removal of the graphics driver is then

    current driver installation is corrupted, or when switching between AMD and Nvidia.

    One of the better programs for this is Fusion driver.

    Treexy external page

    -First uninstall the drivers via programs and features - restart.

    -Performance pilot merger and taking care to select only the AMD graphics drivers, allow fusion driver

    to remove entries from the registry and the remaining files - restart.

    -Only install graphic driver components you are using (for example - if you are not using HDMI do not install the)

    Drivers audio HD from AMD), and... reset.

    -If you don't have already done - do not allow the "Optional" of graphics driver update

    Updates of Windows to install the graphics drivers.

    This update is updated frequently, and if you let Windows updates install automatically

    It may corrupt drivers.

    -I have never had a problem with OpenGL and don't know what led to problems, but windows

    errors can be misleading. "OpenGL is missing" could result from a number of issues,

    even if the file is not missing.  An installation program or file corrupted are two examples.

    -The problem could also be linked to the project that you are working with this software.

    I've never used this software, but when problems similar Oblivion modding (lack of textures, etc.), were due to the error of the user.

    -In addition, depending on the age of the graphics card, new drivers may not be the best for your

    system with this software. If a previous pilot worked properly, reinstall that.

  • Satellite Pro Graphics Driver - OpenGL version low-income L870 question

    Trying to recover a part of my working on my new L870 3D graphics software, he complains that the opengl version is too weak at 1.1. The ATI HD 7670 M supports up to 4.1.

    I downloaded realtech VR OpenGL extensions Viewer, it also reports OpenGL 1.1. He also pointed out under "GDI Generic" rendering, but it should be "ATI Radeon 7670 M" I think that (judging by the post [here | http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2487900]).

    The Catalyst Control Center seems to think that the card works well. So I tried to update the drivers to see if that helped. The latest drivers from Toshiba (8.982.7 - 120808 a 14704), the [zip file | http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/display-20121023172326.zip] is damaged (checksum fails), and he tells me that previous drivers (8.982.10.6 - 120918 a) are already installed.

    Any suggestions to get OpenGL > 1.1 work would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello

    OpenGL is an open standard API, but more often the DirectX designed by Microsoft is included in the graphics card driver for OpenGL enters the market of professional graphics, DirectX, DirectX is used primarily for computer games.

    However, if you need a driver supports OpenGL then you need a driver updated him from some 3rd party sources.

    ATI drivers can be downloaded from the page AMD directly or on sites like omegadrivers.net
    But use at your own risk.

    In addition, to install these drivers, you will need to use a special procedure. I mean by special procedure installation via the Device Manager where you could choose the driver manually.

  • Questions of OpenGL on Satellite Pro A120

    Hello

    I started to notice this when I installed the Google Sketchup application - which allows to use all the hardware graphics acceleration via OpenGL.
    When I have the OpenGL option on, it no longer displays the objects created successfully. When I turned it OFF, it of very well and works correctly.

    He was not a train smash.

    As curiosity got to me, I have installed some games, namely Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna that uses the built-in graphics card: Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset 945GM. Obviously, something with the graphics driver just did not work properly. I can't find a new update of pilot beyond the one I have. I'm really not worried about the game, I'm more worried about not be able to run Google Sketchup with OpenGL! It makes a big difference with OpenGL support!

    I tried downloads graphics chipset from Intel, and he told me that I should talk to Toshiba... so here I am...

    I would really like to know what I can do at this point... because it affects my work.

    My system is

    Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset 945GM with the driver version: 7.14.10.1147 (current download from Toshiba)

    Thank you.

    Hello

    in your case, I'll try the drivers from the Intel site that could possibly solve your problem. There could also be a chance for a solution by visiting opengl

    -> http://www.opengl.org/

    and download the latest version of OpenGL. Perhaps it would be worth updating your DirectX because this could also be a reason for your problems of OpenGL...

  • Question about the OpenGL on Tecra M1

    Hello
    I would like to watch (3D) topographic maps on my Tecra M1. For this I need a graphics card that is capable of doing OpenGL. Have I not such one and how can I activate it?

    Welcome them
    Thog

    Hi friend

    your computer has a graphics card "Trident Cyber-XP4" installed. Generally, it should be able to OpenGL, but probably not with the original Toshiba drivers.
    If I were you, I'd install alternative drivers from this site: http://www.soft32.com/download_174769.html

    But in addition you upgrade DirectX to the latest version available for your operating system. I assume you have Windows XP installed, make sure that you have at least DirectX 9 installed. If you don t have the latest version, then visit:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=de&FamilyID=2da43d38-DB71-4C1B-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3

    Subsequently, you can check if OpenGL works by downloading this application: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/OpenGL-Geometry-Benchmark.shtml

    I don't know if the app running on your computer, but you can also try another 3D application that is based on OpenGL like Quake3 demo which can be downloaded from ID software.

    OpenGL ES is supported only on the 9520 9550 and 9650 (not yet published). The 9500 does not support OpenGL ES and receive an error if you try to do.

    That's why it says "cannot reference javax.microedition.khronos.egl.EGL11" because it does not exist.

  • Photoshop OpenGL question driving me crazy... help...?

    I have a Photoshop OpenGL problem that has been hurt for a while now.

    It will not update the window if I make a change (such as changing the text or toggle visibility).

    I have to make the change, then click and drag slightly the window so he can refresh and show the change.

    Very annoying.

    I tried turning point/disable all options in the relevant prefs in the performance tab 'Enable OpenGL drawing' etc etc.

    And sometimes it works when I change prefs.  I have worked for a few minutes, then returned to does not.

    I also tried fiddling with the settings several times in the control panel for my graphics card, but no changes appear to work.

    (Series AMD Radeon R7 200, but I got NVidia faced the same problem).

    I have another office with a standard video card and that works very well.

    Any ideas?   I tried many things, but this bug is simply frustrating to use Photoshop.

    (I have CS3 but I erad CS4 etc have a similar problem)

    CS3 has no GPU support.  GPU support has been added in CS4. I never installed CS4 because I knew would be bugs in the new GPU support.  Many changes have beem done using Photoshop GPU since CS4.

    Hi, we develop software on Ubuntu, and of course, we use VMware for that, for all the usual reasons large. We use an API that supports Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04 and now 16.04. We decided to go to 16.04, like its new and shiny. But it seems to be serious problems with OpenGL in 16.04, breaking OpenGL based apps. Or else, they work and produced a terrible performance.

    Hello

    As much as I know OpenGL technology depends on the graphics card and driver.
    For example the Satellite M60 has an ATI Mobility Radeon X 700 graphics card, and the driver supports OpenGL. To my knowledge most of the Toshiba units supports Microsoft Direct3D.
    In addition, you should only use the Toshiba drivers because they are explicit designed for Toshiba laptops. All other drivers (nVidia, etc.) are designed for desktop PC and not for laptops.

    Hello

    I bought around mid-2009 this laptop student a Gamedeveloper (P300-24 t), I needed a decent laptop with some graphics cards now because I have to be able to create games on it. Now I have recently installed Windows 8 because I need it for my studies.

    But the problem is because I now upgraded from 7 to 8, I found not the OpenGL drivers decent more because with every driver I'm trying to install on my computer Toshiba laptop my OpenGL support keeps hanging on the default version 1.1 just now when I need OpenGL 2.1 + for my last post.

    When I run our assignment it crash and tell me that I need better OpenGL drivers

    So my question: is there a way to install the OpenGL drivers on my laptop.
