• "Error: 3" message when I try to run Flash CS4 Pro

  I have Adobe Flash CS4 Pro installed on my Windows 8 operating system, and it worked very well for a while, but all of a sudden now, I get a generic error message when I try to run the application. It is for me a "error: 3 ' State and tells me to restart (which I've done several times) and otherwise to contact Adobe technical support, which will not help me because it is not a"current version ".   Fortunately, I got the original installation disc, so I put that in, hope for the uninstall options. To my surprise, it is only available to install. I open the flash cs4 directory and as far as I could tell, all files were there. In any case, I decided to let it install again, and for some reason, that seemed to fix it. The odd part is never I uninstalled it and I used it several times! So I do not know why it was not recognizing the files more.

  If you are on mac and then open fontbook and then check all the fonts and disable all fonts that have flags... I think especially franklin gothic is the question... then, you can be very well.

• Upgrade to Flash CS5 Master Collection CS4?

  Hello.  I've never posted here before, so if this is the wrong forum, please tell me.

  I have the Adobe CS4 Master Collection and I am interested to buy Flash CS5 by itself, rather than the entire Master Collection.  I want to get the upgrade discount, but I was wondering if I can only pass the version I have.  (for example Master CS4--> Master CS5; Design Premium CS4--> Design Premium CS5)

  So, if I buy the upgrade to Flash CS5 version, I'll be able to install it?  I realize it's kind of a stupid question, but you never know how a company will try to steal your money.

  If you look at the requirements for the single Flash upgrade, as long that the version of Flash you have is indicated as eligible, that's all you need for the upgrade.  You are not required to purchase the together again.

  The workflow being considered is to use a TextLayout.swc compiled in Flash Pro. When we compile the EFA, we give the compiler of the configuration information to determine if we are compiling debug or release CFC. I don't know if this can be done in Flash Pro, so I recommend that you only set the CFC on your way, not the complete source.

  The code works, unless you use a more recent feature. The FLA does not open, you must CS5.5 or later to open the CC. If you can find a copy of CS5.5, you can open any CC file and save money for CS4.

  It seems that once you your project in CF you must then pass to FB to compile it to make an application or a file of execution.

  My question is what is possible directly from CF?

  Or is it possible to open or exported FC FB file in Flash CS4/CS5 and then compile it to a swf/air or an iphone app?

  Because if not, then someone would have to have CF and FB in order to create projects!

  In fact, you can generate a SWF purely in the catalyst. Just use the "Publush to SWF" command in the file menu.

  Catalyst currently supports the publication as a swf or AIR application.

  Hi, when I try to open the Flash on my PC I get the following message "the Adobe Flash CS4 application has quit unexpectedly.  I uninstalled all of Creative Suite 4 and reinstalled using disks of my Creative Suite pack and the serial code.  During installation, an error occurred while the Flash is being installed and I get the same message when I try to open.  I use Windows 7 on a desktop PC.

  uninstall, clean by use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6 and then reinstall.

  If you find an error during installation, take a screenshot and fix it, if it is in English.

  Hello, I tried to update my Flash CS4 in order to solve a problem I have with CS4 crashing when you try to open the document flash (.fla) files.

  When you say own uninstall, did you use the cleanup tool? Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

  I'm not sure what I've done - graphic symbols, text are visible in the swf but not on stage, in the workspace or in the library.  I wonder if I have accidentally reset something. I tried to import an .ai graph in a file in flash cs4 when it happened first - graphics is not visible in the workspace, but could be considered in swf. Now, I don't see anything in any flash file I open even those who have been very well before.  Workspace just blank and empty when library window select symbols in the library. If I try to get something, or insert text, it disappears as soon as I switch to the selection tool, but is not visible unless I look at the SWF (control-enter). Please help - much appreciated!

  The project window is just a blank white square in the workspace of developer too.

  I was working on an assignment for my flash class and we use Flash CS4 to college I saved out in this format. But now when I try to open the same file at home in CS3, it won't work.

  You can use an absolute path, but the chances of error are much greater than when you use a local path.  In addition, your absolute path does not work when you deploy your swf (on a server under an air or as a file of projection).

  Use a relative path.  the easiest way is to put the xml file in the same directory with your html and swf, fla.  You can then use:

  yourxml. Load ("icons.xml");

  I like to keep xml files in a subfolder of the xml file that contains my html and swf, fla.  in this situation, you would use:

  yourxml. Load("XML/icons.xml");

  but whenever you have a path problem, the best bet after a few checks and emerge from the spelling is to the file to be loaded into the same directory as all flash files and make sure you can get this to work.  then start moving files to create a cleaner more logical Setup, if that suits your needs.

• Flash CS4: change of MovieClip 3D vanishing point

  Is it possible, using Flash CS4, to change the vanishing point (IE projectionCenter) of a MovieClip? Or can Flash CS4 only set the stage vanishing point? It seems when I change from inside a MovieClip that it changes at the global level, which is not what I want.

  I found I can use AS3 with PerspectiveProjection for change when running, but I don't see the affect in Flash CS4, that allows to make the incredibly heavy real animation.

  If not for somebody else, I had the same problem. Click the clip with the 3D scene transformation, and then look in the property inspector. Open the section drop-down menu called "3D Position and view" and then, you can set the Vanishing Point - and Yes, I mean the vanishing point, not the registration point or anything else. You can also set the Perspective Angle, impacting on the "strength" of the perspective effect.

• Why can't I save a shape tween in Flash CS4?

  I use Flash CS4 on a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.1.

  I added two motion tweens on two layers in my main script. The SWF file tests very well. Everything is good.

  I close the document.

  I opened it new forms of tween no longer exist and there are only regular frames between the transitional forms in their respective keys.

  I have already added shape hints, and they are completely restored when I convert middle managers of the shape tweens.

  Export to SWF format after that restore the motion tweens works very well.

  Closing, then opening the FLA generates always the motion tweens back to regular frames.

  Export a SWF in the newly opened document only shows no shape tween, as he left the main timeline.

  Is this a bug or I do something wrong?

  The executives in question are those that have been highlighted on the "morph J' and 'K morph' layers, correct?

  With motion tweens and classic tweens are not supported on tween layers. They cannot be created on these layers, and if they are dragged or pasted there, they will turn static (a cancellation is necessary at your choice).

  If my guess is that it may have been done before the backup, because I can't imagine how that would have occurred between saving and reopening. The solution would be to put these two motion tweens on their own layers (which is still recommended practice) and see if that fixes things.
