  First this issue has nothing do with your laptop but with a 3rd party application that you have installed on the laptop A300D.
  So I m wonder why you post here in the forum of Toshiba

  In any case I've google a little bit for more details on Amyuni PDF Converter and discovered that it is a tool that converts every windows document in PDF format.

  In case you I recommend you search in the web site for this application and to download and install the printer driver that belongs to this Amyuni PDF Converter software.

  My Equium A300D - 16 c ceased to recognize any kind of disc, I ve tried to double click on the drive but they hunted gey and the message "Please insert a disk into the drive" appears.

  After reading the posts previous back to a little not to seem too much like a dumb blonde and have checked so far the values of registry - which are not defined, uninstalled the drive via the device of system - nothing works. He was only about 2 months and cannot really be without it.

  Any help would be much appreciated

  Try to remove the drive from Device Manager, restart the computer and test it again.
  Have you tested with original DVD and music CD?

  My Equium A300d froze in the Bios boot screen. Finally, I have replaced the ram and hard drive but still the same problem. By trial and error I discovered that the problem was the dvd drive... Remove the system and it loads well, put in place in and from the gel to the bios!

  I replaced the dvd drive wiith a new compatible drive but same result so assume the real hardware is not the problem then can only assume a motherboard problem?

  Has anyone encountered this scenario? Thanks for the research.

  It's really strange question. What version of BIOS is on your computer?

  If I understand you well without ODD your laptop starts properly and preinstalled operating system can be loaded.

  Have you tried to implement ODD when Windows is fully charged?

  My girlfriend has an Equium A300D - 16 c which had some problems lately.

  In recent months, whenever she turns on the system, the display does not pull upwards and it takes several tent for lights.

  The strange thing is every time that happens, the system boots normally always that you can hear the Windows 7 startup sound.

  I'm looking for in this question for some time now and I'm running out of ideas.
  Initially, I thought that it could be a wiring problem but by stripping the laptop down, I found that the cable was still firmly in place.

  I also tried to remove the RAM, HARD drive and DVD drive, but it still doesn't pull upward. On the odd occasion she started upward when you do it, but after restart, it has not started again.

  I think that this could be either a transmitting power or the mother board is on its way. This problem has worsened gradually (it took more than 20 attempts it turn on and off this morning) so finally he come not at all.

  To clarify, the system will start after several attempts, but most of the time that the screen not turn on (not even the backlight). It works with an external display on the HDMI so the GPU works.
  I tried to keep the power with no energy source button to unload the system, but it does not help.

  This means that you can use the laptop as part of the external screen, but it does not work with the internal screen?

  This means that the internal display module isn't OK. It probably needs to be replaced.
  But this does not explain the problems while turning on the laptop.

  In the worst case the mother for laptop AND the internal screen are affected, but it would be really strange and rare bad luck

  I can't initialize problem. Powers of phone on ok, with a few flashes of HARD drive as it tries to start. But no sounds other than the kick, fans have tried all the usual things like FN/F8 to enter safe mode, also cold start battery and network opens. Power button down for an all black screen minute etc etc, but still no screen or emits a signal. I suspect a power supply problem and have tried with different loader but no effect. Laptop is a 4 year old Toshiba Equium A300D - 13 X everything worked fine but I recently renewed keyboard, screen bezel, Mo media Ribbon, power/Ribbon button, Mo.

  I thought I might have left some cable detached so all reopened and checked, but everything is correctly fixed I think.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  It is not easy to be objective with this problem. On one side you have disassembled your laptop on your own and we don t know if everything was done correctly. I m also not technician and each laptop disassembly has been a success.

  I put t really know what to say. Try to talk with someone who can help you with this and check if everything is OK. Small error as causing electrical circuit can damage the electrical components of the motherboard. Try to check the display cable connection.

  Have you tried to connect the laptop to the TV and check if all come to this?

  Please, it is a problem that I seem to not understand. I used my laptop Equium A300d - 16 c with no problems for over a year until last night. I was installing a software (nokia PC suite) that you are prompted to restart the computer. the closure was normal and so he could restart, was a problem. It displays nothing but a screen empty. It is obvious it does not start as when I press the power button it goes immediately. Only the power led is on. Another thing I notice is that the DVD-ROM reads any disk placed inside, but there is no display of any kind.

  My first reaction was that it may be overheating, so I cleaned the vents and amazed the dust of all compartments. but the problem still persists. Please, I want to know what may be the problem before you take it for repairs. Need help. Thank you.

  I looked on the site of Toshiba Driver but it only shows the Vista drivers.
  I have no need of all drivers just the main... can someone tell me where I can get the XP drivers for this model?

  I really wonder you already deleted Vista, Windows XP Home Edition installed without address information on support for Windows XP Home Edition. I also hope that you created the recovery DVDs until you have deleted Vista.

  Back to your problem. Support for Windows XP Home edition for your laptop model can be a bit more problematic. I have laptop AMD too and my phone is not supported WXP. I think that there is not much difference between hardware platforms for Equium, Satellite A300D and P300D.

  Check the Toshiba support site a little and try to install drivers for Satellite to satellite. Maybe you'll have success.

  I'm trying to repair this laptop for a friend of mine. Her possession for a few years and so the warranty has expired a long time ago now. A few weeks ago his laptop had some 'smoke '. :-) Now it fuels not high at all. Using the multimeter I measured the voltage out of the power adapter and it was given breast range, so I guess it works well.

  Some people, I've talked about advised me to replace the motherboard of other little bit sell it and buy a new one. The cost of repair is at least as half of the total cost of this laptop on eBay, if not more. So since I have nothing much to lose I thought I could always take one of those routes later. First of all, I want to try to fix myself cheaply, I want to buy new spare parts, replacement of defective components and see what will happen.

  My problem is... to identify correctly the blown components and their value exact or approximated, possible replacement find - I thought that I could buy them in some electronic store or even the most famous sales at online auctions. :-)

  Could someone please tell me what is this Brown blown up 'tiny brick' marked as "PC105"? SMD capacitor, or resistance? How to know its value? What is the capacitor value/settings solid aluminium marked as 'PC106' which can also be blown up?

  I have no ideas how to check unique on the motherboard parts, because these diagnostic tests needs special tools that are available for the professional service points
  From my point of view, the motherboard is really hard to repair you need of specific e-skills.

  Does not start my Equium A300D - screen is completely empty.

  Power and all the lights are light up normally and stay on
  Caps lock light flashes once - then nothing
  Hard drive blinks once - then nothing
  Fans spin inside
  He can't get to the BIOS screen - nothing comes up at all.

  If it doesn t work it appears to be a malfunction of the equipment. It could be mainboard or problem with CPU who knows and it s hard o say in this matter. A mobile technician can check this and give you a detailed answer.

  I cannot load passed to the handler to boot on my laptop and so am not sure if it a hardware/software problem. There seems to be a problem with AVG Antivirus, and if I want to reinstall my operating system to a product Recovery CD/DVD. However I do not know where to order one of my model. If this does not work, I intend to buy a new hard drive and could do with the disc anyway.

  My question is: the display of work in the A200 A300D?

  I know they use different inverters and different connectors on the motherboard to inverter cable but the screen of the A200 works fine it does not work in the A300D. What I see is a picture very dark

  Maybe you need to just Exchange defective FL inverter on your A300D and must not exchange any display.

  I've had my Toshiba Equium A300D for 2 years now. Meanwhile, it works normally, sometimes stops himself maye because it was too hot.

  You can test Windows with Toshiba Recovery disk installation, please?

  The disc usually contains only drivers and software prétestées so installation shouldn't t be a problem because it s pre-tested software from Toshiba.

  Unfortunately I think that there is nothing you can do if the BIOS update gone wrong... In this case the ROM module must be reflashed to an authorized service because guys have special tools to do this process delicate reflash.
