Opening of new tabs, take me in tab instead of stay on the current page.
It used to be that I could be on a page, let's say A tab and control click or mouse wheel click on a link on this page to bring up a link in a new tab, tab B, while remaining on the tab. Now, with each new tab that opens Control-click or click of the mouse wheel, I am taken to this new tab and close A Tab. This is not good at all. I'm used to the previous setting, which has been very beneficial for the projects of the school where I was looking for multiple sources and would not need to go to the new tabs until after that I found a little. Now, I have to click back to the original page in the new tab, which is a major drawback when I have more than ten tabs open.
Is anyway, the settings-wise and preferably without having to download an another add-on, to change this so that open a link in a new tab is not automatically take me to this tab?
This problem may be caused by the GoodSearch toolbar (Tools > Modules > Extensions)
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

When I open a new tab, it goes straight to the Bing, rather than the white page.
I recently downloaded a program called PDFlite to view the PDF files. He seems to have changed some settings on my Firefox, I does not allow to do so. I am today and there was a Bing toolbar, which I disabled it without problem. But now when I open a new tab, it goes directly into the Bing search engine, rather than the blank page where it used to go. This turn off the coast. I hate Bing. I checked my addons and there is no new addons added by the program. I can't understand what is happening. Help, please!

I can not open a new tab (empty) I change all the settings. However as I said well can I open a new tab with a link without a link, I can't open a new (empty) tab.
Uninstall the toolbar Ask and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask and Firefox toolbar that prevents the opening of new tabs.
There are a few places to check for the Ask toolbar:
- Check the control panel Windows for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
- Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

I've done everything I can find in the support section, and every time I open a new tab, I get searchnu. Whenever I use the search url bar, it uses searchnu. I have the google search bar, but it does not work. I einto gon subject: config I don't know how many times and changed the url for keyword and when I start firefox again, it changes again in searchnu. There is nowhere in my control panel and it is not in my modules or extensions. It is also appear in my browser.startup.homepage it keeps on rebooting and I'm about to uninstall firefox altogether.
I am also a victim of a searchnu. It takes somehow my IE homepage, but I even have not yet installed anything last month. Fortunately I get rid of this nasty browser pirate using a tutorial of removing of searchnu:http://www.virus-delete.com/en/guides/browser-hijacker-removal/how-to-remove-searchnucom-through-isafe-virus-removal-tool.html
So I would like to share here in order to see if it helps ^ ^But I still can't understand what that how you houses delta virus appear on my laptop even I didn't install anything before?

When I click on the 'plus' for a new tab, which automatically takes me to google.com so beautiful, but the cursor is in the address bar. It seems that the cursor is in the google search box, but it's not.
When I click on "Home" the default cursor, the search field, which I think is correct. Is there a way to have FF does not by default the address for the input text bar when you open a new tab?
I doubt it. Google controls their research and their browser and they integrate features. But you can use "Ctrl + K" to place your cursor in the search bar"in your Firefox toolbars. By pressing the key TAB a little is a waste of time since there are a lot of links before you get to the entrance area.
There could be an extension, if it bothers some, but I don't see a valid compromise to justify the use of an extension of something that seems trivial to me.

Hello
Sorry to hear what happens if you run firefox in safe mode?

(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When I opened a new tab, I'm always redirected to a page which I don't see, how do I fix
About two days ago, I noticed that everytime I open a new tab in the browser opens a new page instead of a vacuum... im always redirected to the site https://sg.yahoo.com/...how can I fix?... This is the result of a malicious program?... Thanks in advance for helping me
Hi, it could be malicious, but first try this: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.url and make sure that 'Value' is defined Subject: newtab (right click > change, change it if necessary, taking care to not to change what anyone else). You will then need to restart Firefox.
As an alternative, you can use the add-on SearchReset.
If the new tab gets changed back once again, it is possible that an add-on or theme is the cause, then try Mode without failure of Firefox to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click the menu button
click Help
then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

If it persists, you can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

I opened a new tab in firefox, and every time I get a new search engine powered by Bing. I love bing first, then the random image shows a panic all triggered a massive anxiety. I don't need this shit.
There was another post which apparently "solved" the problem, but IT DOES NOT WORK. I tried to go to about: config so don't tell me that. What can I do to solve the problem of firefox.
WELL. My wonderful girlfriend showed me how to solve this problem since I couldn't find a solution during troubleshooting of Firefox. BASICALLY. I restarted firefox. And voila it's fixed.

When I open a new tab I see Google search smooth with large beautiful Firefox logo on the top center of research, and makes me automatically type in this research. Is there a way to automatically enter address bar when a new tab is opened? Just moved to Firefox and it's quite annoying.
Thanks to all the advice.
-KarlLooks like you have set browser.newtab.url to Subject: House which opens the default home page in each new tab. The simplest thing to do is to reset this preference so that instead of the new tab page:
- Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER.
- To ignore the warning, press the big button "I'll be careful, I promise!
- In the search box, paste browser.newtab.url
- In the search results, click browser.newtab.url , and then choose reset.
Otherwise,.
- Custom installation tab.
- Open the modules (Ctrl + Shift + A Manager; Mac: Command + shift + A), then the Extensions category.
- Next to the new custom label, click on the Options button.
- The value of any page you want to open in each new tab (topic: newtab is the value default; about: home is the default home page) and make sure that "Focus in the URL bar" is not checked.

For example, if I'm on a web page of recipe and I click on the + icon to open a new tab, so I can look at the comments to this recipe while keeping the web page of recipe, open the new tab appears as a blank page research right now. I wish the new coming tab like the page of a recipe where I was when I clicked on the + to a new tab. In this way, I don't have to go get the Web of recipe in the new tab page, and comments... I would already be on the same web page of recipe in the new tab and then simply click on reviews. I hope I have explained this clearly. Thank you!
This thread has some solutions:
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/762043
The simplest seems to be: hold CTRL and left click on the button reload. You can also click the reload (for example 'click' with the mouse wheel, if you have a mouse wheel.) The thread above has other options.
Edit: you could also hold down the Ctrl key and drag a tab beside himself to clone, another suggestion of the thread above.
