How can I do this?

I need very specific instructions, as I'm new to Photoshop and Mac.

Thanks in advance for details.

Quit Photoshop runs.

Choose go > Applications in the Finder menu.

The Applications folder opens.

Find the Adobe Photoshop CS5 Application file and open it.

Click once on the file Adobe Photoshop CS5.app.

Choose file > read the information in the menu.

Check the "Open in 32-bit Mode" as shown here:

Close the window to read the information.

Launch of Photoshop CS5, it opens in mode 32 bits.

How can I fix it?  How bridge CC to open raw files in Photoshop CC?

    Thank you.

The official response from the Adobe Support: manually map all types of files to the desired version of Photoshop. The process is:

    1. go to: bridge CC Edit | Preferences | File type associations

    2. find the file mapped to "photoshop" type

    3. right click on the text "photoshop" | Browse

    4. go to the desired version of Photoshop | Select it. Open

Repeat steps 2 through 4 for all instances of types of files mapped to "photoshop". Tip: you can double-click on the desired version of Photoshop in step 4.

  • Is there a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit windows system 7.

I was wondering if there is a way to open photoshop cs6 in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit windows system 7, because photoshop does not recognize the pressure of the stylus on my graphics tablet (yiynova msp19u), I read that some users got it to work in 32-bit mode on Mac, and all my other programs like zBrush, raging art sketch book pro recognize the pressure of the pen on the tablet.

Yes, simply open the 32-bit version. When you install Photoshop install you the 32 and 64-bit version.

  • Why can't I open Photoshop CS5.1?

I can't open Photoshop CS Extended 5.1.  I recently started adding CS6 requests, but I have not installed Photoshop CS6 again, because Adobe's Web site indicates that other CS applications can run side-by-side with CS6 applications on your computer.  Should I go ahead and install Photoshop CS6, or is there a simpler solution?

Well, I notice that I also have a problem with Photoshop CS5.  I can't open it.  Since Illustrator and Photoshop are the only Adobe programs I have are not CS6, I'll download the CS6 in both versions and see how it works.

  • It cannot open photoshop CS5 file...

Hi all. I am working on a few illustrations in photoshop CS5 and save periodcally, but after closing the file I can't open up. I get the message "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." I don't have any idea what may be causing this. IM using windows 7 If this is important or not and I started it on the same computer that I now have problems with. I'm not openeing another file type in photoshop in other words, it has been started and saved as a photoshop document and now it does not open. Please help if you have any suggestions, I'd be very happy. Thank you.

Navigate to the file using windows Explorer and see what the extension is.

which should be .psd or. PSD for a photoshop psd file. Sometimes the files may end

to the top with two extensions, which confuses photoshop.

    Example: my file.png.psd

Also you may need to enable display the extensions of the file types in the folder options.

Try to open the file in photoshop by using file > open and choose psd.

  • Error opening Photoshop CS5 JPG image

I'm having a problem at the opening of 99% of the JPG images using Photoshop CS5 on my PC. The images open, but they are incredibly 'coded' - see screenshot below. The same is true if I drag the file in CS5, open from CS5, or use the bridge. Each image I opened it, bar, has been the same.

All images were taken using a Canon 40 d in JPG format.

Even if I create a new blank document in CS5 it is affected by the same problem.

I don't know if it's related but I have been having problems for CS5 to load (and Acrobat 9 Standard) until I eliminated 16 error in the last hour.  It would be plauging me for months.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Clipboard01.jpg

Visit the web site of the manufacturer of your video card for an updated video driver.  For example, click on nVidia.com if you have an nVidia brand card.

If you have an ATI card, make sure you do not get the driver Catalyst 11.3, but get 11.2 instead.

If you have a laptop, you may need to visit the site of the laptop computer manufacturer instead.

  • New configuration of PC for Photoshop CS5 and 64-bit Windows 7

    Hello

I just bought a new PC (with the budgetary limits) with the following configuration:

    8 GB of RAM DDR3 (1600 Mhz)

    1 HD 1 TB 7200 RPM (WD)

    Processor 3.00 Ghz i5

    GPU MSI 630GT 1 GB DDR3

After reading many documents on the web, on the use of several physical hard disks for the use of Photoshop CS5 (I work on the lrage, 300-800MB files), I wonder if my current conifguration with only 1 HD (1 to) is "strong" enough for my needs?

How many partitions and size preparing setting up my PC?

If I was able to pull another $ 100 what should I expect? Another HD for Photoshop scratch disk? or maybe an SSD?

Appreciate all the help I can get.

    Shai

SSD is the path to high performance in modern systems, but $100 do not buy a lot of an SSD.  You can save a little while and get a 256 GB of high performance drive (ideally more).  It is quite big you could make your drive system and Photoshop for zero access point home as well and maybe even keep work in progress that you make about it.

View on configuration of the systems (for example, ' the value zero to your system drive"'") does not really apply with SSD storage, because there is no latency with an SSD.

What kind of SATA connections offer your new PC?  Ideally, you have SATAIII (6 gigabit), that would really be able to enjoy a good SSD.

  • Windows "open with...". ' does not not for Photoshop/CS5.5

I use the command "open with...". "in the context menu of Windows all the time opening .jpg and other image files in Photoshop. I don't want to directly associate .jpgs, etc., with Photoshop, because most of the time that I want to just quickly view in Windows Photo Viewer. But from time to time, when I need to open one in PS, so I had been using the menu command 'open with... '. ». It worked well in every version of CS I've ever used.

Until, all of a sudden, when I installed CS5.5, 'open with... '. "no longer works. Right click on a .jpg file, for example, does not even Photoshop as a valid option for a request for opening of the file (not in the list "Recommended programs" or the "other programs" list). So I have to go and look for a 'additional program '. I use Windows 7 64-bit, but if I choose the photoshop.exe in Program Files or Program Files (x 86), the jpg still comes to open in the default application (Windows Photo Viewer).

Even for a PDF (opening in Photoshop or Illustrator).

PSD open directly, although, when I double-click the file.

This really seems a matter of CS, since 'Open with' still works fine for other non Adobe applications.

How can I get my menu 'Open with' to 'review' Photoshop as a valid option and pass the file name correctly so that it actually opens the file?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you very much!

Nope. I had done so many times, and he never "stuck". No matter how many times I've traveled to exe, if I always checked off 'using the program selected... '. "or not, the jpg file still open in Photo Viewer.

It turns out that this thread has shown on the widget more 'like that' to the right of these forums when I presented my post, and who responded to my question. Why the wire never showed up when I was actually looking for a response, I'll never know.

According to the guidelines of this thread, you have to go and manually set/update the registry key

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\Photoshop.exe\shell\open\command

to point to the path of the most recent Photoshop (in my case, C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64 Bit) \Photoshop.exe). I guess it's something that the CS5.5 installer can't do in certain circumstances. He was always pointing the way to my CS5, which was no longer valid.

  • Open with > Photoshop CS5 opens with Photoshop 7.0?

    Hello everyone

I use Windows 7 Home Premium on my computer and I have two versions of top Photoshop: Photoshop CS5 and 7.0.

I would like to open files for editing the fastest way, so I'm using [right click > open with] a lot.

So I do the following: right click > open with > choose program by default, and in the dialog box that appears, I click on the search button. In the Find dialog box, I go to Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (64-bit) and I choose the Photoshop application at the bottom of this file.

The problem is that for many, I chose Photoshp CS5 to open my selected file, it always selects Photoshop 7.0 again and opens with her!

(maybe this happens because the executable files of these two programs have the same name)

How can I open my photos (.jpg) with the first version of Photoshop directly from the menu context open with? What do I need to uninstall the old photshop just to prevent this? Or there is a better way to solve this problem without having to remove any program?

You wouldn't be starting Photoshop 7.0 and then minimizing it (i.e. leaving run) would you?  Photoshop won't work in several different versions at the same time, regardless of the version is already running will receive all files sent to any version of Photoshop.

Make sure you close Photoshop 7.0 and then try again.

If this isn't the problem, then another thing you can do is to go to Bridge CS5.1 and choose Edition - Preferences - file Associations.  See which application is associated with the type of image you are trying to open.  Photoshop has its own joining types of files, and it could be that the wrong version is associated with your image types, according to the order in which you installed applications.
